Background: The present study was aimed to compare psychological well-being in athlete and non-athlete women. Material/Methods: The statistical population of the present study included all athlete and non-athlete women in Shiraz, Iran. The sample consisted of 764 subjects (382 athletes, 382 non- athletes), of which the athlete and non-athlete samples were selected by Gerjesy and Morgan’ sample size table and purposeful sampling method, respectively. Also, Ryff's psychological well-being scale (Ryff, 1989) was used for measuring subjects’ psychological well-being. Material/Methods: The study involved a group of 159 boys aged 10-12 years from the Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship. Two-dimensional (2D) materials show remarkable physical properties when compared to their bulk form. These are single layer materials where the atoms are covalently bonded to each other. Among the 2D materials, transition metal dichalcogenides (TMDCs) have special consideration due to its unique electrical, optical and mechanical properties. Investigation Of Students’ Understanding Of Light Matter Interactions In A Chemistry Context, Archer Harrold

Honors Program: Senior Projects (Public)

Students’ have varying levels of understanding of light matter interactions in chemistry contexts. This study investigated students’ understanding through the use of semi-structured interviews and PhEt simulations of both the single slit and double slit experiments. Coding qualitative analysis and construct maps were used to assign students to specific levels of sophistication. It was found that students’ carry differing levels of understanding of light and light matter interactions where low level learners struggled to connect ideas in their explanations while high level learners had strong connections between their knowledge and explanations.
