3D printers are generating mass amounts of plastic waste from printing supportive structures, correcting print orientation errors, and failed prints. The most used 3D printing material, PLA, is made of the same plastic material and cannot be reused nor recycled. As a result, it ends up in landfills and oceans. The purpose of this project is to find an alternative support material that generates less waste. Two potential solutions were explored to reduce the use of PLA plastic. Girlz Nite is a website representing a fictional pop music festival. Initially the theme and brand were created. Then wireframes and prototypes were built in Adobe XD. We then recreated the Adobe XD prototype using HTML, CSS, and some JavaScript. The final and most challenging task was to turn this prototype into an efficient and functioning WordPress site. For this project, students were asked to conceptualize, design, and brand a hypothetical beverage company. The project parameters included creating a visual code for three brand-standard products and a secondary package. Additionally, adaptive graphics and packaging were developed for a limited-edition collection. The decision to brand a wine company was made out of the desire to design a label that consisted of both modern and vintage elegant qualities. During the Fall semester of 2022, Symbiotic Creations competed in the Future Food All-Star’s competition and mentorship program with the main goal to create a probiotic snack made from 100% culinary by-products. Our three objectives were to create a hydrocolloid structure within the gummies (properly thickened gummy), use only vegan products, and provide a probiotic benefit to the final product. Most products in the market rely on animal-based thickeners like gelatin. The inability of the current techniques to identify patients in the preclinical stage of Alzheimer's disease, which can persist up to ten years before clinical symptoms appear, makes early detection of the condition difficult. Several studies have shown the potential of the cerebrospinal fluid biomarkers amyloid beta 1-42, T-tau, and P-tau in the early stages of Alzheimer's disease. Based on the levels of these cerebrospinal fluid biomarkers, we employed machine learning models in this study to categorize various phases of Alzheimer's disease. Nanoparticles effectively control most plant pathogens, although research has focused more on their antimicrobial than their nematocidal properties. This study synthesized silver nanoparticles (Ag-NPs) through a green biosynthesis method using an aqueous extract of Ficus sycomorus leaves (FS-Ag-NPs). The nanoparticles were characterized using SEM, TEM, EDX, zeta sizer, and FTIR. The TEM results showed that the synthesized NPs were nanoscale and had an average particle size of 33 ± 1 nm. The elemental silver signal at 3 keV confirmed the formation of Ag-NPs from an aqueous leaf extract of F. sycomorus. The FTIR analysis revealed the existence of several …

The purpose of this report is to research and implement new ways to redesign the KSU Johnson Library map and increase the amount of navigation signage. Through time studies and surveys, the team identified resources that take a long time to find. A second round of time studies and surveys was conducted to ensure that the new implementations, signages, and maps are effective. The team also suggests redesigning the floor plans to make them clearer and easier to understand. Team Scrappy concludes that the redesigned map and library signage have significantly improved the ease of navigation within the Johnson Library. …
