Abstract: For improving the traffic efficiency of wide and narrow alternating waterways, considering Kiel Canal as an example, according to the structural characteristics of Kiel Canal with alternating width and narrow sections, a two-way ship traffic flow cellular automata model is established, and the simulation of ships passing through Kiel Canal is studied. Cellular space is set up according to the actual structure of Kiel Canal, and the evolution rules are set up based on the fixed block theory and moving block theory. Abstract: A rolling bearing fault diagnosis method based on a weighted domain adaptive convolutional neural network (WDACNN) is proposed to solve the problem that the data distribution of vibration signals of rolling bearings changes due to workload changes, which leads to poor generalization of fault diagnosis algorithm. In this method, the domain adaptation algorithm is embedded in the convolutional neural network to make the classifier based on the source domain achieve excellent generalization in the target domain, and the weight coefficient is introduced to weight the samples in the source domain to reduce the influence of the class weight deviation. …

Abstract: To solve the multi-depot half-open vehicle routing problem with simultaneous delivery-pickup and time windows, this paper builds a mathematical model of a multi-depot half-open vehicle routing problem with simultaneous delivery-pickup and time windows by balancing the vehicle in and out of the distribution center and minimizing vehicle delivery distance as the goal. According to the characteristics of the problem, a brain storm algorithm based on chaotic mutation is designed to solve this problem,and the sequential crossover strategy is adopted to increase the population diversity. Abstract: Aiming at green 2-echelon vehicle routing problem with simultaneous pick-up and delivery, a learning-based ant colony optimization algorithm combined with clustering decomposition is proposed. The objective function to be minimized is total transportation cost wherein carbon emission cost is specially considered. Associated with the mutual coupling features of the 2-echelon vehicle routing problem, we propose a distance-based clustering method to decompose the original problem into a set of sub-problems. In this work, using a lumped RC circuit model which is based on transmission line modeling (TLM) method, the charge transfer in a solid insulating system encapsulating a gaseous void of submillimeter dimensions is evaluated. Here, both the dielectric material and gaseous void are considered simultaneously as a transmission line. The transmission line includes the capacitive and resistance elements and, the obtained circuit equations were coupled with the continuity and kinetic energy equations for charged species along with Poisson's equation. In this study, the aim is to evaluate three-phase (3?) AC/DC neutral point-clamped (NPC) power factor corrected (PFC) multilevel converter performance for electric vehicle (EV) fast chargers. Power factor correction for EV fast chargers is very important in terms of efficient power usage and charger compatibility with the grid. Multilevel converters improve charging efficiency, reduce voltage stresses on components, minimize electromagnetic interference, and support high power capabilities. The study investigated the feasibility of using action sport cameras for motion analysis research. Data acquired from two different marker-based motion capture systems and six different camera combinations were analyzed for motion reconstruction accuracy. Two different calibration procedures were used to determine the influence on marker position reconstruction. Static and dynamic calibration mean merit score differences between the reference and experimental camera systems were 0.4 mm and 1.3 mm, respectively. Angular displacement difference between the reference and experimental camera systems range between 0.1 and 2.0 degrees. Numerical simulations have become a cornerstone technology in the development of nanophotonic devices. Specifically, 3D finite-difference time domain (FDTD) simulations are widely used due to their flexibility and powerful design capabilities. More recently, FDTD simulations in conjunction with a design methodology called inverse design has become a popular way to optimize device topology, reducing a device’s footprint and increasing performance. We implement a commercial inverse design tool to generate complex grating couplers and explore a variety of grating coupler design methodologies. This research addresses the data overload faced by intelligence searchers in government and defense agencies. The study leverages methods from the Cognitive Systems Engineering (CSE) literature to generate insights into the intelligence search work domain. These insights are applied to a supporting concept and requirements for designing and evaluating a human-AI agent team specifically for intelligence search tasks. Domain analysis reveals the dynamic nature of the ‘value structure’, a term that describes the evolving set of criteria governing the intelligence search process. The challenge of providing data privacy and integrity while maintaining efficient performance for honest users is a persistent concern in cryptography. Attackers exploit advances in parallel hardware and custom circuit hardware to gain an advantage over regular users. One such method is the use of Application-Specific Integrated Circuits (ASICs) to optimize key derivation function (KDF) algorithms, giving adversaries a significant advantage in password guessing and recovery attacks. A review of current trends in scientific computing reveals a broad shift to open-source and higher-level programming languages such as Python and growing career opportunities over the next decade. Open-source modeling tools accelerate innovation in equation-based and data-driven applications. Significant resources have been deployed to develop data-driven tools (PyTorch, TensorFlow, Scikit-learn) from tech companies that rely on machine learning services to meet business needs while keeping the foundational tools open. Open-source equation-based tools such as Pyomo, CasADi, Gekko, and JuMP are also gaining momentum according to user community and development pace metrics. The development of green and sustainable water-splitting hydrogen production technology is beneficial to reducing the over-reliance on fossil fuels and realizing the strategic goal of "carbon neutral".
