The purpose of this explanatory mixed-methods study was to examine the beliefs, perceptions, and self-reported skills of elementary school Problem Solving Team members regarding the implementation of Response to Intervention (RTI) and Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) in a large urban school district in the Southeastern United States. The study explored the extent to which educators had reached consensus around the essential components of these frameworks and whether they perceived themselves as prepared to implement data- based problem-solving practices that support academic and behavioral intervention systems. In the 21st century, many parents rely on digital location tracking applications (e.g., Life360, Find My Friends) to track the whereabouts of their teens and young adults, exerting a new form of parental control in the digital age. Though a popular parenting strategy, it is unclear how utilizing these tools might be affecting adolescent and emerging adulthood development. To better understand these outcomes, the present thesis conducted a scoping review of articles via the PsycINFO database. Conservation Communication In Web 2.0: A Mixed Methods Analysis Of Alveus Sanctuary's Strategies On Twitch.Tv, Hope Denison

This thesis examines how environmental creators can effectively transmit conservation messages in the evolving Web 2.0 media environment. The case of Alveus Sanctuary, a virtual sanctuary and education center on Twitch.TV, is used to explore the strategies currently used to engage audiences and raise ecological awareness online. Thematic analysis of interviews with the sanctuary’s founder revealed that Alveus combines traditional environmental education with an influencer business model to engage online audiences, leveraging parasocial behavior, interactivity, and collaboration to garner support. A quantitative content analysis of social media posts revealed that these strategies effectively induce parasocial engagement in online spaces. These …

The research question addressed by my Capstone project was: How can an ArcGIS-based inquiry project about local demographic change be designed to engage students in civics and community identity? It is based within secondary social studies education, particularly human geography. Through a constructivist approach, this project applies key findings from research on Geographic Information Systems (GIS), geographic inquiry-based learning, spatial citizenship, and suburban demographic shifts. “I Should’Ve Listened!”: Lived Experiences Of Postsecondary Transitions Among Students With Emotional And Behavioral Disorders From Non-Traditional High Schools, Kristen De Rose

This phenomenological study explored the lived experiences of former students with EBD who attended a non-traditional high school. Eight semi-structured individual interviews were conducted to understand how students experienced emotional and academic supports during high school and throughout the transition into adulthood. Results revealed that participants appreciated attending a non-traditional school for its school connectedness, emotional and instructional supports, and school-based counseling. Additionally, findings suggest the school did not prepare them for the transition to post-secondary life. These findings suggest that emotional and academic support for students with EBD in non-traditional high school settings positively affected students’ sense of success …

Healthcare interoperability remains constrained not only by technical barriers but also by leadership, governance, and administrative fragmentation. The purpose of this quantitative cross-sectional study was to examine how leadership-related barriers to interoperability were reflected in patients’ and caregivers’ experiences with administrative clarity, system integration complexity, trust in leadership, satisfaction, and switching behavior. Guided by transformational leadership theory, data were collected through an online survey of 435 U.S. adults who managed healthcare administrative tasks for themselves or family members.
