The School Of Practical Art Course Catalog (1928-1929), School Of Practical Art

Art Institute of Boston (AIB) Course Catalogs

The School of Practical Art was established in 1912 by Roy Atherton Davidson because of the great need of a school where boys and girls could receive vocational training in practical art. The School is thus a pioneer in this line of work, and its sixteen years of experience in teaching only practical art has made its courses of real worth and commercial value. The School gives fundamental and practical instruction in all branches of commercial art, so that graduate of the School may be efficiently prepared to accept the varied opportunities open to trained men and women. Test 149: Cletrac Model 40 40-55, Nebraska Tractor Test Lab

Nebraska Tractor Tests

All tractors tested at the Nebraska Tractor Test Laboratory were certified by their manufacturers as being stock model machines, conforming to specifications filed with the application for test. No special or high-test fuels were used except as recommended by the manufacturer as necessary.

All results within the official tractor test report were actually attained in tests and are without correction or allowances for friction, temperature, altitude, etc. The results were initially accomplished with the tractor in charge of skilled operators employed by the University.

Quantian Gao Jan 1928

Quantian Gao

Historical Texts of Lingnan University

Analysis Of New Mexico State School Laws, John Seyfried Jan 1928

Analysis Of New Mexico State School Laws, John Seyfried

Teacher Education, Educational Leadership & Policy ETDs

The analysis that follows does not purport to do what only a state-wide survey could properly do, that is, treat fully and minutely the New Mexico public school situation. The real intent is to occasion serious thought on the larger problems of the way for an expert state survey, preliminary to more constructive action. The extent that school problems may be treated herein is limited by the fact that only such time, effort, and other resources were at the writer’s disposal as are commonly available in the preparation of a thesis to be submitted in partial fulfillment of the requirements …

Experimental And Observational Geometry, Albert D. Field Jan 1928

Experimental And Observational Geometry, Albert D. Field

University of the Pacific Theses and Dissertations

Geometry has the distinction of being one of the oldest subjects given in the high-school.

Its subject-matter was formulated and organized by the Greeks into a fine system of thought before the time of Christ. Since leaving the hands of the Greeks, geometry has received only a few minor changes, and these largely in recent years.

Heretofore, the study of geometry has been made almost entirely dependent upon memory and reasoning. Geometricians have been slow in adopting the laboratory and observational methods.

This thesis has been written to encourage the student in his work of observing geometrical forms, and in …
