Mobile Hyflex In Postgraduate Music Classes, Cliona Doris

Case studies: Digital Education

In Semester 1, I used the mobile hyflex equipment in lectures for two taught postgraduate modules and also for a research symposium, involving taught postgraduate students, research postgraduate students and staff. This provided me with the opportunity to experiment with the set up in three classroom sizes: a small seminar room (EQ-109), a medium-sized classroom (EQ-110) and a large classroom (EQ-116). The Panasonic IT360 speaker and camera device was extremely easy to set-up and enhanced the audio and visual interaction with students online, which was continued in the class recordings made available later on Brightspace. There were issues in the …

This approach reflects the interdisciplinary nature of both the author’s degree program and the topic itself, which (as a field of academic inquiry) is part theoretical and part empirical (both qualitative and quantitative). The papers in …

The Ebony Edge: A Qualitative Exploration Of Math Success Among Black College Women, April Ruiz Apr 2025

The Ebony Edge: A Qualitative Exploration Of Math Success Among Black College Women, April Ruiz

Dissertations

Historically, women have been underrepresented as leaders in STEM. However, according to the National Science Foundation (2022), women accounted for a little more than half of the college-educated workforce and underrepresented minority women increased in broad science and engineering occupational categories. This promising upturn underscores the importance—if progress is to continue—of better understanding why some African American women succeed in and persist with their study of college mathematics.

This study aimed to explore the experiences of Black college women attending a predominantly White institution in the Midwest, to better understand what reasons Black college women ascribe to their success in …

Duracell Cr2016 Batteries - Behavior Under Different External Loads, Brandon Low, Jonathan Uribe, Nicole Vanegas Apr 2025

Duracell Cr2016 Batteries - Behavior Under Different External Loads, Brandon Low, Jonathan Uribe, Nicole Vanegas

Posters - 2025

When connecting a voltage source to a conductor, an electric field is created from the source's applied potential difference, exerting forces on charges within the conductor. [1] The flow of charges is proportional to the voltage, a relationship known as Ohm's Law. This law also states that the flow of current in a device is inversely proportional to the resistance of the device itself, which depends on its shape, size, and material. Resistance can also come from external sources, which when placed in a series circuit, combine with a device's internal resistance to create a larger load. In this experiment …

Examining Early-Career Principals' Experiences With Coaching And Self-Efficacy Development In Wisconsin Public Schools, Jeff Carron Apr 2025

Examining Early-Career Principals' Experiences With Coaching And Self-Efficacy Development In Wisconsin Public Schools, Jeff Carron

Dissertations (1934 -)

Research on principalship reveals that school leaders are entering the position with less experience and staying at their schools for shorter periods of time, resulting in more schools being led by novice principals. Additionally, research highlights how principals have a major influence on student achievement, teacher working conditions, and teacher retention. As a result, district leaders, and the outside organizations that support them, are faced with the challenge of inducting new principals and providing the support they need to be successful. Complicating this support are the myriads of skills, roles, and responsibilities that principals must master to be successful. This …

The Lived Experience Of Wisconsin Generation Z Teachers Remaining In The Classroom Beyond Their Third Year Of Teaching, Sarah Annalee Bennin

Dissertations (1934 -)

Teacher retention is an increased concern across Wisconsin. Teacher retention rates are at “67 percent in the first five years” (Kammerud et al., 2023, p. 25) in Wisconsin. Our current workforce spans five generations, and early career teachers are the newest generation to the workforce, Generation Z. They are at a higher risk of leaving the profession (Carver et al., 2017; Hamidu, 2023; Hanover Research, 2022; Sims, 2020). School systems struggle having enough available staff with experience to stabilize the educational environment and mentor new teachers (Hamidu, 2023). The purpose of this phenomenological study was to understand Generation Z early …
