The COVID-19 virus has caused the biggest worldwide economic crisis since the Great Depression of the 1930s and a “zero tourism” situation with catastrophic consequences. The purpose of this scientific paper is to review various aspects of the negative impact of the COVID-19 outbreak on the tourism sector in Romania. The paper is based on research that combines a analysis of economic indicators, completed a qualitative research, based on in-depth interviews conducted on the population of Brasov on assessing the travel during the pandemic. Based on the results of research and exploratory research in the literature, we have listed in a concise manner several measures to make tourism cleaner, safer and more sustainable after this famous pandemic.

Understanding the drivers of hotel guest satisfaction and dissatisfaction is basic for hotel managers. In this research, we use a large database of more than 30,000 reviews that were posted on TripAdvisor to investigate this issue. We use Power BI to assign a sentiment score to each review and to extract the main phrases from them. This allows us to create two datasets of words and phrases (one derived from the reviews of satisfied guests and one derived from the reviews of dissatisfied guests) in order to compare them. This paper provides empirical evidence on the potential use of the meaning of sustainability for the tourist in segmentation studies. The analysis has been applied to a nature destination, specifically, in the “Sierras de Cazorla, Segura y Las Villas” Biosphere Reserve. In the first place, this research identifies, through a cluster analysis, three segments of tourists based on what the tourist considers sustainability to be (level of knowledge and commitment, as well as its implications for the destination), analyzing for each segment their sociodemographic and socioeconomic variables and their willingness to pay to improve the sustainability of destinations.

Introduction: There is an unmet need to develop potent therapeutics against cancer with minimal side effects and systemic toxicity. Thymol (TH) is an herbal medicine with anti-cancer properties that has been investigated scientifically. This study shows that TH induces apoptosis in cancerous cell lines such as MCF-7, AGS, and HepG2. Furthermore, this study reveals that TH can be encapsulated in a Polyvinyl alcohol (PVA)-coated niosome (Nio-TH/PVA) to enhance its stability and enable its controlled release as a model drug in the cancerous region.

We outline the discursive origins of United Nations Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 17, describing its ambiguous marching orders, which are further confused by shifting and contested stakeholder approaches. The study strives to find out how the purchase intentions (PI) of millennials consumer in Pakistan are affected by electronic word-of-mouth impacts.

Design/methodology/approach

To fulfill that purpose, three EWOM determinants - quantity, quality, and valence are chosen. Whereas Brand image (BI) and perceived Quality (PQ) are taken as mediators. The paper adopts a Quantitative approach to survey 169 Karachi respondents. Inferential analysis of collected data was performed using PLS version 4.0. I have two essays in my dissertation. Essay 1 examines whether and how individual audit engagement partner quality is associated with client firms’ risk factor disclosures (Items 1A and 7) in the annual reports (10-K filings). Specifically, I investigate whether engagement partner quality is associated with the tone and sentiment in the risk factor disclosures, as well as the disclosure of financial and tax-related risk factors. I find that clients with high-quality engagement partners use an overall negative tone in the narrative disclosures in Item 1A and Item 7.
