Janjang Wulung Village is one of seven villages located at a highland of 593.73 meters above sea level in Puspo District, Pasuruan Regency, East Java. Janjang Wulung Village has natural resource potential from coffee, apples, avocados, and forest products supported by the plantation area, reaching 280.1 and farmers of 1,072 people. The livestock sector is also one of the superior productions in Janjang Wulung Village, with each household having 3-6 dairy cattle with a population of 602 people who work as breeders. Time series of financial data are both frequent and important in everyday practice. Numerous applications are based, for example, on time series of asset prices or market indices. In this article, the application of fractal interpolation functions in modelling financial time series is examined. Our motivation stems from the fact that financial time series often present fluctuations or abrupt changes which the fractal interpolants can inherently model. The results indicate that the use of fractal interpolation in financial applications is promising.

In the first essay, we investigate the effects of changes in ambiguity aversion in a recursive smooth ambiguity aversion model. Wang and Li [Wang J. and Li J. (2020) Comparative Ambiguity Aversion in Intertemporal Decisions. J. Risk Insurance 87(1): 195-212] explore this topic under the assumption that the current payment increases the future expected utility conditional on any given ambiguity parameter, which limits the applicability of their conclusions. This study investigates whether hotels’ environmental and organizational performance is improved through green entrepreneurship, innovation, and managerial environmental concern. Through an online survey questionnaire, 271 responses were collected from hotel employees. The collected data were analyzed using PLS-SEM. The results suggest that green entrepreneurship orientation (GEO) has a direct and significant impact on environmental performance (EP) and organizational performance (OP). In addition, green innovation (GI) mediated the relationship between GEO, EP, and OP. Furthermore, when green innovation is used, managerial environmental concern (MEC) leads to higher environmental performance. However, its impact on GI and OP relationship was not significant. The …

Purpose

Although research analyzing the consequences of salesperson social media use in driving sales behaviors and performance outcomes has proliferated in the recent past, there are significant research gaps in the domain. Grounded in task-technology fit theory, this paper aims to propose a conceptual framework that integrates between previously disjointed areas of research and analyzes the relationships between salesperson social media use, brand awareness, creativity, manager empowerment and company performance.

Design/methodology/approach

Survey responses were collected from a multi-industry sample of 158 business-to-business salespeople. Structural relationships were tested using partial least squares structural equation modeling.
