A Verification And Extension Of Students' Motivations, Financial Orientation, And Identity Salience As Predictors Of Likelihood To Withdraw From A University, Matthew I. Quinn

Undergraduate Distinction Papers

Broadly, this research examines a student’s likelihood to withdraw from a university based on the relationship between motivations, financial orientation, and identity salience. Specifically, this study empirically examines the relationship between extrinsic motivation, intrinsic motivation, and apathetic motivation, perceived opportunity loss and lifestyle activities related to financial orientation, and satisfaction and reciprocity related to identity salience, as predictors of a student’s likelihood of withdrawing from a university.

A questionnaire was designed by extending scale items related to the constructs of interest. First-year students at a private university located in the upper Midwest were sampled. A hypothesized model was tested using …

She must also consider economic indicators of the region, some of which include GDP, population, and economic freedom. This paper focuses on female nationals and expatriates and provides information regarding the following: commonalities shared among nationals, definitions of nationals’ success, expatriate motivations, expatriate relational considerations, and an expatriate’s potential to succeed. The conclusion gives stories of Arab women in …

We each have a few defining moments in our lives; moments that shape and change us in ways we can’t predict or quantify. The Marketing Analytics Summit created one of those defining moments for my team and I. We spent the last month working long hours analyzing data, pushing ourselves to the limit, and stretching our minds to new bounds as we prepared our strategy and presentation for the summit. The Economic And Financial Effect Of Single Parent Homes, Douglas Sidey Apr 2015

The Economic And Financial Effect Of Single Parent Homes, Douglas Sidey

Senior Honors Theses

A crisis is facing the American population today because of the growing prevalence of single parent homes. This single parenthood produces a cyclical nature in which the families that get started have a hard time removing themselves from the patterns and problems of this cycle. This is due in large part to the financial issues that a family will face due to the divorce from, or loss of, a spouse. These financial issues affect not only the parent that is raising children alone, but it affects the children, the spouse that has left, and the economy at large. This phenomenon, …
