The purpose of this paper is to examine the mutual relationship between urbanization and house prices in Lebanon for the period 1993-2017. The underlying argument of this paper is to examine whether house prices affect and is affected by the rate of urbanization. It argues that a significant rise of rural-urban migration can contribute to the rise in house prices. Similarly, a substantial rise in house prices can eventually limit rural-urban migration and slow down the pace of urbanization. Using the well-known and international library, Emerald, the author has examined a sum of articles that were relevant. Papers have been extracted from four different top ranked journals. This systematic literature review has identified four themes reflecting factors affecting pricing objectives, namely; firm and buyer role, value of information, service life cycles and perceived fairness price. The literature provides ample evidence that the last decades have seen an increase in noise trader activities, in part driven by the development of fintech. This paper strives to educate readers on the term noise traders as well as fintech. Moreover, it argues that the evolvement of noise trader activities accompanied with fintech has increased equity market volatility over time. The study finds that equity market volatility has indeed increased over time and is not driven by periods of crisis. Commentators have identified that the origins and progression of the Irish PPP programme can be traced back to the UK PFI (PPP) policy. Peer-to-peer (P2P) lending has the potential to boost financial inclusion in emerging markets. This paper contributes to the literature on fintech governance in emerging Asian markets. It examines the case of the Indonesian government’s approach in regulating the P2P lending sector using both primary interviews and secondary firm-level data. Driven by regulation tightening in China and regulatory gaps in Indonesia, Chinese investments became the largest in this sector contributing, however, to growing risks from illegal business practices. © The author(s) 2020. This paper discusses the volatility spillovers between the Greek debt crisis and the Cypriot financial crisis. Cyprus was in the spotlight of financial markets due to significant problems stemming from the banking sector, which were dealt with by EU regulators with a bail-in on bank deposits. The current analysis aims to shed light on the reasons behind implementing this novel approach to bank distress. Psychological Contract Perception And Contractual Employee Performance, Robin Roberts, Stephanie Douglas Ph.D.

Publications

Contractual, short‐term employees are increasingly utilized to support organizational performance. The employee's perception of the psychological contract were explored in this qualitative study through semi‐structured interviews of 22 contractual workers. Psychological contract was fulfilled through transactional job tasks and psychological contract breaches were found in relationships with leadership and the organization. An exploratory examination from the contractual worker lens helped to influence the psychological contract on the employee performance and its use in leveraging this workforce to improve organizational performance.
