Image processing procedures in medical diagnosis are used to improve diagnosis accuracy. An example of this is skin cancer detection using the thresholding approach. Thus, research studies involved in identification of inherited mutations predisposing family members to malignant melanoma have been performed in the Cancer Genetics field. Melanoma is one of the deadliest cancers, but could be cured when diagnosed early. A fundamental step in image processing is segmentation that includes thresholding, among others. Unsteady Rotational Motion Of A Micropolar Fluid Inside A Right Circular Cylinder Using State Space Approach, Sarah Ahmad Slayi S.A.Slayi, Emad Ashmawy

BAU Journal - Science and Technology

In this work, the unsteady rotational motion of an incompressible micropolar fluid inside a right circular cylinder is investigated. The classical no-slip and no-spin boundary conditions are proposed. The problem is solved analytically using the state space approach together with Laplace transform technique. The inverse Laplace transform is carried out numerically using a numerical technique based on Fourier series expansion. Numerical results for the flow field functions are represented graphically for different values of the time and micropolarity parameters.

الملخص:

تهدف الدراسة إلى فحص أثر خصائص لجنة تدقيق الحسابات على رأي مدقق الحسابات الخارجي للبنوك المدرجة في بورصة فلسطين. لتحقيق هذا الهدف، تم الاعتماد على البيانات الطولية لستة بنوك لسلسة زمنية تمتد من 2010 إلى 2016 باستخدام نموذج الإنحدار اللوجستي (Logistic Panel Regression).

أظهرت النتائج الإحصائية وجود تأثير ذو دلالة إحصائية لخصائص لجنة التدقيق وهي الاستقلالية، عدد الأعضاء، عدد مرات اجتماع اللجنة، الخبرة المالية والمحاسبية، نسبة الأسهم التي يمتلكها الأعضاء على المتغير التابع (رأي المدقق).

The purpose of this study was to qualitatively assess the state of information technology (IT) business alignment among Ghanaian universities and to identify factors that influence the achievement of four key dimensions of the concept. Studies show that factors influencing the achievement of the concept remain underexplored and research coverage for both developing economies and the higher education sector trails behind other sectors and developed economies. The LEI-N rose by 2.33% during May 2021, the third month in a row of rapid growth and the eighth consecutive monthly increase. Rapid improvement in the leading indicator implies that economic growth will be strong in Nebraska during the second half of 2021. All six components of the leading indicator rose during May. Business expectations, manufacturing hours-worked, and airline passenger counts were the strongest components. Respondents to the May Survey of Nebraska Business reported plans to increase sales and employment over the next six months. JOHNSON CITY (June 30, 2021) – East Tennessee State University, through the College of Clinical and Rehabilitative Health Sciences’ Department of Allied Health Sciences and the College of Graduate and Continuing Studies’ Office of Professional Development, will offer the Computed Tomography Certification Program.

Beginning Aug. 20 and continuing for 16 weeks through December, the course will meet online and requires clinical assignments held in affiliated hospitals. This is an opportunity for those in radiology to increase their knowledge and add to their skill base.

This study aims to map articles in the Jurnal Akuntansi dan Keuangan Indonesia (JAKI) published by the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Indonesia, for ten years (2011 to 2020). This study deployed a bibliometric analysis as an investigative method. The data were analyzed with R biblioshiny analytical framework. The findings revealed that JAKI was considerably consistent in publishing articles every period. JAKI publishes six articles each number and two publication numbers annually. If Sharia securities investors make investment decisions considering Sharia principles, corporate tax avoidance should be viewed as a bad practice which is contradictory to Sharia principles and it is intolerable for this type of investors. Using companies from the financial industry for the period of 2007-2018, the final sample comprises 378 observations for Sharia securities and 167 observations for non-Sharia securities. تهدف الدراسة الى تقييم تأثير القيم الثقافية الوطنية على أداء المحاسب المالي في عينة من الشركات المدرجة في سوق العراق وعَمّان للأوراق المالية. شملت عينة الدراسة التقارير المالية ل (100) شركة مدرجة في العراق والأردن وللفترة من 2015 الى 2019. تم اعتماد القيم الثقافية ل Hofstede كمؤشر للقيم الثقافية، في المقابل فقد تم اعتماد مدخل القيمة الدفترية الى القيمة السوقية كمقياس للتحفظ المحاسبي. تشير نتائج الدراسة ان الدرجة العالية من ثقافة الذكورية ومسافة القوة وتجنب عدم التحقق مرتبطة بدرجة عالية من أداء محاسبي متجه نحو عدم التحفظ. من جانب آخر فأن ثقافة التساهل مرتبطة سلبيا بأداء محاسبي متجه نحو عدم …

يهدف البحث إلى اختبار مدى تأثير تقنيات الحديثة والمتمثلة بتقنية سلاسل الكتل في تطوير مستويات المهارات لدى المحاسبين والمدققين في البيئة العراقية، وقد تم اختبار فرضيات البحث عن طريق استمارة الاستبيان المعدة لهذا الغرض، والتي وزعت على مجموعة من الأكاديميين المتمثلين بطلبة الدراسات العليا والأساتذة في اختصاص المحاسبة لعينة من الجامعات العراقية خلال عام 2021 إذ بلغ عدد الاستمارات الصالحة 104 استمارة، وقد تم التوصل إلى مجموعة من النتائج أهمها: تؤثر تقنية سلاسل الكتل ايجابياً في مهارات المحاسبين والمدققين، من حيث سرعة انجاز المعاملات المالية بشكل مباشر في سجل مشترك ودائم على الشبكة وبتكلفة منخفضة وجودة عالية، فضلاً عن سهولة …
