Now is the time to plan your excursion into the region’s highest elevations, as fall color is likely to peak now through next weekend.

“I think that these cold temperatures are going to really start to speed things up,” said Travis Watson, the campus arborist at East Tennessee State University. “I would look for this weekend through October 22 to be the best times to travel to higher elevations.”

Federal crop insurance programs have existed since the 1930s, but for livestock producers, federal insurance programs were virtually nonexistent until the past 20 years. Livestock producers may not face exactly the same production risks that crop producers face, but they do face similar production risks related to grazing capacity and forage production and of course face price risks just like crop producers do.

Based on aesthetics and inspiration perspectives, this study applied fuzzy-set qualitative comparative analysis to investigate the configurations of aesthetic and travel inspiration variables that lead to audience’s intention to share SfTV. The study identified six configurations between the four aesthetic value constructs and the two travel inspiration constructs explaining audience’s sharing intention, which can be further summarized into four typical modes: ‘destination reputation-inspiration’, ‘presenter physical beauty-inspiration’, ‘video aesthetics-inspiration’ and ‘presenter physical beauty-video aesthetics-inspiration’. This study explores how a platform enables social media influencers to promulgate a consumption ideology. We show how gun influencers, or “gunfluencers,” use Instagram to link products, activities, and meanings to Second Amendment ideology – a gun-centric belief system in the United States colloquially known as “2A ideology.” Through a qualitative study of 25 Instagram gunfluencers, we identify a process of curating a consumption ideology wherein social media influencers employ four curatorial tactics: glamourizing, demystifying, victimizing, and tribalizing. As materialization of their discursive stance as instructional communicators and media producers, textbook authors instantiate various development debates as well as interpose a wide range of pedagogical interventions for critical reflection and adoption by learners. This qualitative study sought to situate these development debates and the counterpart pedagogical interventions within the context of textbook task design as an application and embodiment of social justice communication. e-Health solutions in low-income countries are fragmented, address institution-specific needs, and do little to address the strategic need for inter-institutional exchange of health data. Although various e-health interoperability frameworks exist, contextual factors often hinder their effective adoption in low-income countries. This underlines the need to investigate such factors and to use findings to adapt existing e-health interoperability models. None have been as popular, though, as the “running Bucky,” a vault logo generally reserved for retail to maintain ETSU history but not generate confusion with the current university brand.

A solar eclipse will cross South, Central and North America and will be visible to much of the United States. East Tennessee State University plans to take advantage.

ETSU’s Office of Financial Aid & Scholarships launched the scholarship application on October 1.

“The application is a student's gateway to a range of scholarships available at ETSU,” said Ronda Gross, ETSU’s assistant director of scholarships. “We have hundreds of scholarships to award to students.”

The deadline to submit the ETSU scholarship application is March 1, 2024, but students are encouraged to complete it as soon as possible.
