This pilot study aims to assess the acceptability of Open University’s training platform called Gamified Intelligent Cyber Aptitude and Skills Training course (GICAST), as a means of improving cybersecurity knowledge, attitudes, and behaviours in undergraduate students using both quantitative and qualitative methods. A mixed-methods, pre-post experimental design was employed. 43 self-selected participants were recruited via an online register and posters at the university (excluding IT related courses). Participants completed the Human Aspects of Information Security Questionnaire (HAIS-Q) and Fear of Missing Out (FoMO) Scale. Influencers are content creators who collaborate with brands to promote a brand image or specific products to their followers.

In a new social media trend, influencers have also become “deinfluencers” who advocate against certain behaviors or products. Throughout this project, we aim to understand the new “trend” of “deinfluencers”.

The diversity of opinions and motivations for deinfluencers makes it challenging to uncover their motivations for creating this type of content. Our project combines secondary data research on popular press articles and primary data collection on Instagram and TikTok.

This study aimed to identify the impact of strategic fit on business continuity management in Jordanian commercial banks, with the mediating role of strategic agility. The study employed a sampling strategy to select an appropriate sample from the study population, using a descriptive analytical approach and developing a questionnaire as the main tool for data collection. A sample of 254 managers participated, and both multiple regression analysis and simple regression analysis were employed.

Covenant Violation And Operational Efficiency, Hui Liang James, Hongxia Wang, Zhimin Wang

Finance and Economics

We examine the impact of covenant violation on corporate operational efficiency. Using an aggregate measure of operational efficiency developed by Demerjian et al. (Management Science, 58, 2012, 1229–1248), we provide strong empirical evidence that covenant violations hinder firms from achieving operational efficiency. Our finding is robust to alternative definitions of operational efficiency and various model specifications to address potential endogeneity issues. Further analyses show that lower operational efficiency is attributable to covenant-violating firms' under-investments in capital and labour. In addition, the negative effect of covenant violation on operational efficiency is not universally the same, and is less evident in violating …

In recent multi-population stochastic mortality models, one critical scientific issue is the vague distinction between trend risk and population basis risk. In particular, the cross- and auto-correlations between the innovations of the latent factors representing the common trend and the population-specific trends are often assumed to be non-existent, although they are possibly statistically significant. The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) lays emphasis to regulate advertising targeted at children globally as kids are inexperienced and vulnerable to adverse impact of promotions by marketers and such regulations are trailing behind.1 Ensuring a robust regulatory mechanism and its effective enforcement remains the biggest challenge globally. The present paper studies the rationale of advertisements targeting children, assesses the impact of contemporary media advertisements on children and appraises the existing regulatory landscape of children targeted advertisements in India. This paper investigates factors influencing the adoption of social media analytics (SMA) for citizen relationship management (CzRM). Three real-world cases of government departments, two in South Africa and one in Germany, were investigated, and focus group discussions were conducted. The technological, organizational, and environmental (TOE) theory and qualitative content analysis guided the data analysis. The findings revealed that in all cases, staff usually conducted a manual analysis of social media and SMA had not been implemented sufficiently to realize its full potential.
