The general acceptance of globalization and free trade across most national governments has led to the massive proliferation of foreign goods across the globe within the past few decades. As a result, the consumer adoption of imported products has been researched extensively; however, the bulk of these studies have focused on developed countries, leaving less developed and emerging countries vastly unexplored compared to their developed counterparts. هدفت هذه الدراسة إلى تحديد مستوى تطبيق مبادئ الحوكمة في المجالس البلدية الأردنية، والتعرف إلى وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية في مستوى تطبيق مبادئ الحوكمة بين المجالس البلدية تعزى للمتغيرات الديمغرافية لعينة الدراسة. وتكوّن مجتمع الدراسة من العاملين في المجالس البلدية ضمن المستويات الإدارية في محافظات الزرقاء، إربد، جرش وعجلون، ولتحقيق أهداف الدراسة تم تطوير استبانة لغرض جمع البيانات، وقد تم توزيع الاستبانة على عينة مكونة من (350) عاملاً في المجالس البلدية ضمن المستويات الإدارية، ﻭتم استرداد (307) اﺴﺘﺒﺎﻨﺔ مستكملة، وتم استخدام الأساليب الإحصائية المناسبة لتحليل بيانات الدراسة واختبار فرضياتها وذلك بالإستعانة بالرزمة الإحصائية (SPSS). وأظهرت الدراسة مجموعة من النتائج …

Over time, technological advancements have led to a shift from physical gambling to online platforms. While physical casinos thrive, the escalating popularity of online gambling poses a challenge to customer retention. This study explores the impact of online gambling on casino resorts and devising strategies for market survival. High-performance computing is a difficult subject to teach in an academic setting, given the exorbitant costs and technical difficulties. Raspberry Pi single-board computers have been used in recent years to create clusters that function as mini high-performance computers. The purpose of this research is to evaluate the educational equivalence of building a Raspberry Pi cluster in comparison to running a high-performance computing environment. For this research, an eight-node cluster was built and tested in comparison to a laptop. Through the process of building the cluster, skills learned were documented to evaluate the educational value. This paper explores the role of ICT proliferation in rural development, specifically in terms of improving public services within the South African rural context. The South African setting provided an opportunity to reflect on a people-centric approach that prioritizes social inclusion and public participation to balance a local government landscape historically skewed against rural areas. Interviews were conducted in rural municipalities to determine the development priorities of households and the impact of ICTs on rural development. This study examines the perceptions of women in ICT regarding the hybrid work model in South Africa's telecommunications sector, a shift accelerated by the COVID-19 pandemic. The research explores both the benefits—such as flexibility, financial savings, and improved work-life balance—and the challenges, including communication difficulties, collaboration issues, and infrastructural problems like power outages. Using a qualitative, interpretive approach, data were gathered through semi-structured interviews with 11 participants from 8 JSE-listed telecom companies. This research examined how Protection of Personal Information Act No 4 of 2013 (POPIA) compliance affects organizations in South Africa. Despite the promulgation of POPIA in 2021, data breaches, abuse of personal information, and increased cyber threats persist in South Africa. As a privacy regulation, POPIA has yet to successfully safeguard personal information because it exists in a complex regulatory environment. The primary element of this research is to augment the existing theory on green human resource management (HRM) and to motivate organizations to learn more about green HRM, act sustainably and adopt environment friendly practices. The study analyzes the relation of three constructs of green HRM with employee turnover while adding employee ownership as a mediator. Using the technology acceptance model, this study examines the combined impact of brand and technology on users' intention to continue using the branded app. A Partial Least Square Structural Equation Modelling with data from 454 experienced branded app users reveals two mechanisms: perceived usefulness has a favorable influence on the customer-brand connection, and perceived simplicity of use improves the customer's brand experience. Branded app interactions and experiences increase customer brand engagement, resulting in continued use. College Students’ Financial Literacy At An Eastern Kentucky Regional University, Hannah Barrett, Steve S. Chen, Christy L. Trent

Financial literacy is essential knowledge for recent college graduates to be able to manage a stable job, career, and personal wealth. This study examined the financial literacy of 228 college students (49.8% males; 50.2% females) at a regional public university in Eastern Kentucky. The participants were randomly invited to complete a 22-item online financial literacy survey, which was created based on the work of Cude et al. (2006). The survey contents included five demographic questions and 17 five-point Likert scales (1= strongly agree/ always, 5= strongly disagree/ never) to rate participants’ knowledge on investing, saving, budgeting, and credit.
