Wastewater treatment is a widely used health protection measure that can be applied to control the transmission of wastewater-related infectious diseases to communities exposed to wastewater. This study determined the efficiency of three full-scale constructed wetlands (CWs) in removing pathogenic parasites and fecal coliforms (FC) bacteria from wastewater. Wastewater samples were collected from three CW systems located in the Dar es Salaam and Iringa regions of Tanzania. This study evaluated the effects of roasting on jackfruit seeds (JFS) and amaranth grain composite complementary flours. Eleven formulations were used for the study. The moisture, crude protein, crude fat, crude fibre, crude ash and carbohydrate contents varied from 6.5 to 8.7%, 10.66 to 20.9%, 0.93 to 5.98%, 4.46 to 10.2%, 2.6 to 3.76% and 51.3 to 71.7%, respectively. The water absorption capacity (WAC), water solubility index (WSI), oil absorption capacity, swelling power (SP) and bulk density (BD) ranged from 238.9 to 360.5%, 3.9 to 12%, 107.4 to 200.6%, 13.3 to 45.9%, and 0.5 to 0.7 g/mL, respectively. The pasting properties of unripe plantain, unripe cooking banana, some selected cereals and their composite flours were investigated in relation to their food values. Each of the samples was cleaned, air–dried and pulverized to form the native flours which were mixed in different proportions to form the composite flours. Soft doughs were prepared from the flours and subjected to textural evaluation. The adjudged best from each set was analysed using Rapid Visco–Analyser followed by determination of their proximate composition and functional properties. Bulk geochemical data for the Twangiza-Namoya Gold Belt, Democratic Republic of Congo, are presented in order to classify the rock assemblages, elucidate their petrogenesis and tectonic settings. Nb/Yb and Zr/Ti constraints reveal two suites for the rocks: sub-alkaline to andesitic basalts (Suite-1); and alkaline basalts (Suite-2).  Ratios of Ti/Zr = 22–70; Zr/Hf = 35–42; Nb/Ta = 12–13; Nb/Th = 1–2 and La/Nb = 2.4–3.8 suggest arc-generated mantle melts with crustal inputs and arc-fluids metasomatism for Suite-1. Professional organizations in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) can use demographic data to quantify recruitment and retention (R&R) of underrepresented groups within their memberships. However, variation in the types of demographic data collected can influence the targeting and perceived impacts of R&R efforts - e.g., giving false signals of R&R for some groups. We obtained demographic surveys from 73 U.S.-affiliated STEM organizations, collectively representing 712,000 members and conference-attendees. We found large differences in the demographic categories surveyed (e.g., disability status, sexual orientation) and the available response options. In the current study, we compared the microbiome composition of succulent dwarf shrub halophyte Zygophyllum qatarensis Hadidi across desert populations. The results showed that rhizospheric and endosphere microbiome greatly varied due to soil texture (sandy and gravel). This study was conducted to isolate and identify some species of Plant Growth Promoting Rhizobacteria (PGPR) form three biofertilizers; Rhizobacterin, Phosphorine and Potassiomag. Specific bacterial media were used for Isolation and identification of bacterial species. The isolates were identified according to its cultural and morphological characteristics, gram staining, microscopy examination, motility and biochemical characteristics.

The results showed that the isolates which identified from Rhizobacterin were nitrogen-fixing bacteria Azotobacter chroococcum (NFBac). We also isolated and identified two other isolates; phosphate mobilizing bacteria Pseudomonas fluorescens (PSBpf) and Potas solubilizing bacteria Bacillus circulans (KSBbc) from commercial complex Phosphorine and Potassiomag, Respectively.

Three hundred seventy eight isolates of Bacillus spp. from Syrian soils were screened in vitro for their ability to inhibit the growth of Botrytis cinerea, agent of gray mold disease. The B307 isolate showed the highest antagonism activity with growth inhibition of 68%. In addition, B307 had chitinolytic activity, and the fraction from the isolate with more than 50KDa of its cell free crude extract showed the highest chitinolytic and antagonism activity against B. cinerea. The study was carried out during 2015, in order to evaluate the effect of soil properties in Grape Roots Phylloxera Phylloxera vitifoliae in commercial Grape fields in Al-Suwieda Governorate / Syria (Massad and Rhasas) grafted on B41 and Ruggeri 140 rootstocks. The study showed that phylloxera vitifoliae caused significant damage to the grape vine planted in a soil with high content of clay, negative correlation between the percentage of organic matter and the average population density, and a positive correlation with the death rate for different stages of the insect in two study sites were found. The aim of this investigation was to study the effect of GE-interactions of grain yield of bread wheat using the additive main effects and multiplicative interaction (AMMI) model. Twenty-four genotypes of bread wheat were sown at 13 locations for 3 growing seasons (2006/2007, 2007/2008 and 2008/2009). The results showed that main effects due to E, G, and GE interaction were found to be significant (P6 and Douma48114 Results showed the possibility of improvement the selection of bread wheat genotypes by applying AMMI model and GGE Biplot methodology in multi- Environment trails.
