This paper analyzes the effectiveness of Random Forest and SVM models for detecting HTTP Flood attacks. Experimental results demonstrate that both models achieve high accuracy. Evaluation was conducted using Precision, Recall, and F1 Score metrics. Additionally, key features of network traffic were extracted through correlation analysis to enable real-time application of the models in attack detection. The findings provide important insights into detecting DDoS attacks using machine learning and improving model performance.

This article analyzes biometric access control systems using fingerprints. The article considers the advantages of using biometric technologies, including solutions aimed at ensuring security, protecting users' personal data, and increasing the efficiency of systems. A detailed explanation of the principles of operation of fingerprint biometric systems, their underlying algorithms, and technological advances is provided. Problems that arise when assessing the level of security, ease of use, and technological and social aspects of biometric access systems and methods for combating them are also covered. This article presents the results of research on the recycling of spent zinc adsorbents formed during the ammonia production process, aimed at obtaining zinc chloride (ZnCl₂), which can be utilized in various industrial sectors, including electroplating. The research covers the optimization of technological parameters such as hydrochloric acid concentration, temperature, and reaction time to efficiently extract zinc chloride. The experiments revealed that the best results are achieved by using a 20% hydrochloric acid solution, at a temperature of 60°C, with a reaction time of 60 minutes. In modern artificial intelligence systems, there is an acute need to understand the decision-making logic of "black box" algorithms. Our research proposes an innovative method for increasing the transparency of such systems through the formalization of fuzzy explanatory mechanisms. We have developed an extension of existing ontological approaches by introducing the concept of fuzziness into the structure of explanatory properties, which allows overcoming the fundamental limitations of traditional XAI methods. This article investigates the dynamic characteristics of a time-pulsed ultrasonic sensor used to measure water flow in open channels. The operating principle of the sensor, its response time in various hydrodynamic conditions, speed, and factors affecting measurement accuracy are analyzed. In the process of research, the improved ultrasonic sensor was tested and its effectiveness in measuring water flow in real time was evaluated. The results obtained showed that the sensor adapts to the velocity, temperature and turbulence level of the water flow. This study investigated the production of biofertilizer from composted banana peels and watermelon rinds, focusing on the mineral content and its impact on plant growth. The process involved characterizing raw materials, producing biofertilizer, analyzing mineral concentrations (potassium, nitrogen and phosphorus), and evaluating its quality through Spiny Amaranth seed growth. A compost bin with three compartments was designed, testing three composting ratios of banana peels to watermelon rinds (2:1, 1:2 and 1:1). Composting was monitored on moisture content, pH, organic matter, and temperature for 37 days. The 1:1 ratio had the lowest temperature (33.45°C) and highest pH (7.08), while the 2:1 …

Through microwave frequency cavity readout of the photons associated with these axions, the ADMX project at WashU utilizes multiple different forms of the Josephson junction (JJ), a superconductive circuit element. The need to develop a correct model for effectively controlling such systems based on scientific principles of analysis and decision-making is substantiated. Particular attention is paid to modeling, optimizing, and using digital technologies, including artificial intelligence, to improve the accuracy and efficiency of management decisions. The principles of decomposition, multi-criteria optimization, and linguistic models of fuzzy correspondence are described, which can be used in conditions of uncertainty and complexity of industrial facilities.

This paper presents a chemical and X-ray diffraction study of the solid fraction obtained from the thermal-oxidative pyrolysis of waste tires. The study covers the analysis of the composition of rubber products before and after pyrolysis at a temperature of 750-850 °C. A chemical analysis of the gaseous, liquid and solid phases of pyrolysis products was also carried out. The ignition temperatures of gaseous products, their percentage content, as well as the optimal boiling temperatures of the resulting condensates were determined. This study explores the application of an Adaptive Neuro-Fuzzy Inference System (ANFIS) for controlling wastewater treatment processes using ion-exchange resins. It addresses the critical challenges of water scarcity and pollution by enhancing the regulation of water hardness (H) and Total Dissolved Solids (TDS). Using a pilot laboratory device and experimental data from the mixed wastewater of the Kungrad Soda Plant in Uzbekistan, an ANFIS model was developed in MATLAB to automate process control. This study assessed the potential of cactus pads and watermelon seeds as natural coagulants in industrial wastewater treatment. The global characterization of the two coagulants was done by using the Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) to determine the specific functional groups and by zeta potential measurements. A full factorial design was used to design the experiment and analyze the effect of three factors: coagulant dosage, settling time and particle size with three levels each and one replicate on the turbidity removal. Ethylene is one of the most widely produced petrochemicals, with an estimated global output of 180 million metric tons in 2022. Approximately 82 million metric tons of ethylene are used annually for plastic production, primarily for polyethylene (PE), as well as polypropylene (PP) and polyvinyl chloride (PVC). The CO₂ emissions associated with PE production were approximately 14 million metric tons in 2022. Globally, an estimated 70 million metric tons of PE are produced and consumed each year, with the majority (~79%) ending up in landfills or the environment.

The Cool Gas-to-Liquid (Cool GTL) process converts biogas and captured CO2 into renewable hydrocarbon fuels, contributing to GHG emissions reduction in transportation. This report explains a Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) study that was completed to evaluate the environmental impact of different feedstocks, hydrogen sources, and electricity inputs. The analysis considers biogas from food waste, manure, and landfill sources, as well as biogenic, fossil, and direct air capture (DAC) CO2 feedstocks. Results show that biogas pathways provide the greatest GHG reductions, with the best case (food and manure biogas + solar hydrogen + solar electricity) achieving a net-negative GWP …

The development of a Modular Automated Tissue Engineering Test Bed (MATETB) is the next step in the development of cheap and easily available in vitro cell regulatory systems for both academic and industrial purposes. This project outlined the framework and requirements for a device that could automatically regulate and collect data on a cell culture through the manipulation of its liquid environment. The development of innovative food packaging technologies, particularly those capable of monitoring freshness, has become increasingly important in the food industry. This research explores the development of a pH-responsive freshness sensor using polyvinyl alcohol–red cabbage (PVA/RC) nanofibers. The nanofibers are fabricated through the electrospinning technique and meticulously analyzed via scanning electron microscopy, Fourier-transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy, and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). The results underscore the fine structure of the nanofiber matrix, with an average diameter of ~68 nm. FTIR analysis substantiates the presence of anthocyanin compounds from RC within the PVA/RC nanofibers, which confirms the integration of beneficial components into …

Conventional biodiesel manufacturing uses alcohol as an acyl acceptor, resulting in glycerol as a side product. The increased demand for biodiesel has led to the production of a substantial surplus of glycerol, exceeding the market need. Consequently, glycerol is now being regarded as a byproduct, and in some cases, even as waste. The present study aims to suggest an economically viable and ecologically friendly approach for maintaining the viability of the biodiesel sector. Cyberattacks on control systems can create unprofitable and unsafe operating conditions. To enhance safety and attack resiliency of control systems, cyberattack detection strategies can be developed. Prior work in our group has sought to develop cyberattack detection strategies that are integrated with an advanced control formulation known as Lyapunov-based economic model predictive control (LEMPC), in the sense that the controller properties can be used to analyze closed-loop stability in the presence or absence of undetected attacks.
