The State and Local Tax (SALT) deduction has historically allowed taxpayers to deduct the full amount of state and local income, property, or general sales tax paid as an itemized deduction on their federal tax return. However, with the passage of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act (TCJA) in 2017, this deduction was capped at $10,000, creating disparity for taxpayers in high tax states and causing those high tax states to look for workarounds. How can for-profit financial strategies be adapted to support nonprofit financial stability? And how would those strategies translate to entities with diverse operational goals? The purpose of this study was to conduct a comparative analysis of nonprofit and for-profit healthcare organizations operating in Texas, examining financial differences driven by organizational structures and objectives across three healthcare sectors: Hospitals, Specialty Care Providers, and Community Health Centers. Using financial data from Form 990 and 10-K tax filings, this analysis aims to identify sector-specific financial challenges and opportunities, providing insight for financial decision-makers seeking to improve the long-term sustainability of nonprofit healthcare providers.

Objective: This research studies family business sustainability leadership adoption obstacles especially regarding their dual need to achieve both profitability and environmental impact targets while examining potential solutions to these problems. Methodology: A research methodology included literary analysis and field studies along with questionnaire distribution for obtaining qualitative and quantitative data. The research survey gathered information about how family businesses handle sustainability measures that focus specifically on their energy consumption as well as energy efficiency and water management plans. In today's media landscape, where consumers are overloaded with information and have shorter attention spans, digital marketers face significant difficulty in grabbing and holding customers' attention. This research examines how visual attention affects the processing of advertising stimuli. It does this by using eye-tracking technology to determine where branding components should be placed in digital ads to maximize processing efficiency and perceptual salience. The research shows that placing branding features strategically in the top central part of the advertisement can greatly increase visual attention and subsequent recall by analyzing fixation patterns and saccadic behavior. Child sexual abuse (CSA) is a significant social, criminal justice, and public health issue that impacts families, neighborhoods, and communities of all racial/ethnic, socioeconomic, and cultural backgrounds. CSA is underreported, underfunded, and often accompanied by lifelong negative impacts on survivors’ physical, mental, and emotional health. Importantly, we acknowledge that not all who have experienced child sexual abuse feel that the term survivor (instead of victim) adequately conveys their feelings and experiences. The prevalence of shareholder activism has resulted in the placement of activist-appointed directors onto the boards of firms. Extant research on this phenomenon has taken a rational approach in examining how such directors bring about change but has not accounted for the behavioral implications associated with their placement on boards. Building on theory involving alignment and legitimacy at the team level, this paper adopts a behavioral approach in theorizing how the placement of activist shareholders themselves as directors onto the boards of firms brings about firm change. This study delves into the social media marketing strategies SME managers use to improve brand awareness. Guided by Aaker’s brand equity model as the conceptual framework, the study was to identify key elements SMEs can leverage to strengthen their social media presence. This paper examines the Securities Exchange Commission (SEC) requirement of the 10-K filing deadlines and how the implementation of Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) regulations can cause an increase in the likelihood of misstatements in financial reporting by publicly traded companies. The SEC shortening the deadline time frame had a negative impact on smaller companies since auditors were focusing more on larger companies to get the report done in an effective and timely manner.
