Główne elementy polityki finansowej państwa to polityka monetarna i polityka fiskalna. W zwyczajowym podziale kompetencji funkcjonującym w systemie demokratycznym odpowiedzialność za politykę monetarną ponosi bardziej lub mniej niezależny bank centralny. Natomiast polityka fiskalna, jedna z najważniejszych prerogatyw władzy wykonawczej, należy do zakresu działania rządu, a w jego ramach do resortu odpowiadającego za finanse publiczne.

The purpose of this study was to study the relationship between RFID technology and lean manufacturing. More specifically, the identification of implementation areas where RFID can have the greatest impact on manufacturing control, manufacturing asset tracking, and asset maintenance in a lean manufacturing environment. A survey was used to collect data from participants working in seven U.S. manufacturing industries. Questions addressed the use of RFID in manufacturing control, asset tracking, and asset maintenance. It traces the history of early cryptography, the ‘cypherpunk’ movement, and how the work of some cyber libertarians and cryptographers enabled the emergence of popular cryptocurrencies. The paper then focuses on Bitcoin. It delves into the technology behind the Bitcoin architecture and shows how exactly this technology works. The existing literature emphasizes the importance of negotiation skills in the field of IT. However, negotiation and negotiation styles in the IT industry have received limited attention. This original empirical research compares the negotiation schemata of Finnish and Japanese IT business people. The study identifies negotiation schemata used in one or both culture groups. Negotiators with greater experience and power in the negotiation process command more schemata. However, neither population enjoys the full range of negotiation schemata. Business negotiators in or out of IT and these cultures may benefit from knowing the schemata and the results of matching and mismatching.

Estimating Social Costs Of Rail Transportation In Japan, Arisa Ito

In this study, I examine several factors that are related to the social costs of rail transportation in Japan by using a constructed Japanese dataset and regression analysis. Unlike previous studies, the components of the social costs in this study focus on current environmental matters such as global warming and air pollution. Also, the regression analysis controls for population, revenue per passenger, passenger density, rail length, and gas emission. This study may help to improve technology and services, and minimize losses in the future of the rail industry.

The fear of receiving a bid protest is said to affect acquisition strategies, yet it has not been empirically explored. Based on the Public Value Framework and interviews with contracting personnel, this research tests a model of antecedents to and consequences of the fear of a protest. Survey data was obtained from a sample of 350 contracting personnel. The fear of protest is mitigated by having sufficient procurement lead time and by source selection experience, and increased by protest risk. Fear of protest increases compromised technical evaluations, added procurement lead time, and transaction costs, while it decreases contracting officer authority …

Using historical firm financial and insider trading information, this paper examines whether high-level insiders manipulate earnings ahead of their own 10b5-1 equity transactions. The empirical evidence suggests that high-level executives appear to manipulate earnings through real activities such as abnormal discretionary expenditures and abnormal cash flows from operations to influence equity prices ahead of their own transactions under Rule 10b5-1. Evidence also suggests that executives appear to be unlikely to engage in earnings management through highly scrutinized means such as accruals. This paper investigates the differences in the abnormal returns of securities in the context of the earnings announcement in both the United States (NYSE) and Singapore (SGX) markets[1]. Despite the similarities between both exchanges, there exist two key market microstructure differences: the free float factor (i.e. the portion of listed share capital that is freely traded on the market) and lot size (i.e. the minimum number of shares that an investor can trade in a single transaction). This paper discusses the need for increased financial literacy among college-aged students and then presents and analyzes a personal finance class taught at a large, private university. The course is designed around five characteristics which, when combined, result in a high value-added pedagogy. These characteristics are the following: a humanistic approach to personal finance, a principles-based approach, an applications-based curriculum, a partnership with Intuit's Quicken, and a serviceteaching requirement. With a track record of over a dozen years and 3,128 students, the course continues to be one of the best-rated courses among both students and alumni.
