The mental health crisis in the US is severe, with depression and anxiety leading causes of disability among young adults. The mental health services market is growing, but access to care remains inconsistent, particularly in rural and underserved areas. Pharmacists are playing a crucial role in mental health care, improving medication adherence and patient outcomes through collaborative practice agreements. Systemic reform is needed to address barriers such as affordability and social determinants, with pharmacists integral to closing care gaps.

AKTiVe leadership is a foundational cultural model that has been adopted at Florida Health Science Center (Tampa General Hospital). The premise of the model is that treating each other with Authenticity, Kindness, Transparency, and Vulnerability (AKTiVe Model) will lead to cultural change that enhances trust, engagement, and psychological safety, which will in turn drive performance improvement for the organization. It takes years to change the culture of an organization, which highlights the need to focus on sustainability and resilience in the culture. This research aims to understand the personality traits that predict leading with vulnerability.

Generation Z (Gen Z), is currently graduating from college and joining the workforce in the United States. Gen Z is distinctly unique from other generations and has been identified as highly entrepreneurial. Gen Z has also been recognized as being highly reliant on technology, which is something that the banking industry, but specifically, smaller community banks have not yet fully embraced. This paper explores strategies that community banks’ executives and board of directors can utilize to attract Gen Z entrepreneurs who, in general, despise or do not have knowledge of the way in which banks conduct business lending.

Financial inducements such as free bets are frequently-used gambling marketing offers which temporarily improve a gambler’s usual pattern of risk and potential return. Previous research has shown that there are up to 15 distinct types of financial inducements in common use, and that gamblers frequently misunderstand inducements’ play-through requirements and other complex terms and conditions. The Australian government has therefore recently banned play-through requirements for inducements shown to new customers, and the Great British regulator the Gambling Commission has recently announced a maximum play-through requirement of 10 times. Comparative Labor Law & Policy Journal

This article compares two systems of labour market governance: regulation by means of employment standards, and norms that are established in collective bargaining. A comparative framework draws nine criteria, spanning procedural and substantive dimensions, and emphasises the degree of integration between the systems, or “coupling.” The study uses Israel’s response to the COVID-19 crisis as a case study, drawing on a unique dataset of all regulatory provisions and collective agreements concluded from March 2020 to December 2021, supplemented by interviews with key actors. During the COVID-19 pandemic, 11.5 million U.S. businesses applied for relief from the federal government. Collectively, these entities received just under 800 billion dollars. It was one of the largest fiscal intervention policies directed at businesses in American history. Though substantial scholarly and public attention has gone toward investigating participant fraud, other participant behavior has been less examined. This includes the relatively small number of individuals and businesses (128,304) that chose to repay their forgivable government loans. This dataset is used to investigate this question, with variables testing hypotheses relating to altruism, patriotism, and self-interest. Results are analyzed in the …

Who Gets Stitches? The Effects Of Rewarding Whistleblowers And Protecting Their Identity On Subsequent Willingness To Work With Others, Ryan D. Sommerfeldt

Companies are strongly encouraged to implement whistleblowing programs to help detect and deter misconduct in organizations, but whistleblowers often face ostracism as their coworkers are less willing to work with them (the whistleblower effect). Rewarding the whistleblower and protecting the whistleblower’s identity are two highly recommended features of whistleblowing programs that aim to encourage reporting. Across two experiments, I examine the spillover effects of these whistleblowing program features on how willing employees are to work with their coworkers after reporting occurs. I find that providing a reward to the whistleblower exacerbates the whistleblower effect, leading employees to work even less …

In the rapidly evolving world of security, law enforcement, and investigative sciences, professionals are increasingly turning to advanced technologies to supplement tried-and-true methodologies. One emerging innovation is behavioral assessment software, designed to enhance both pre-employment screening and investigative interviewing. Acting as a form of modern human intelligence collection, these tools enable examiners and investigators to gather deeper insights directly from candidates and subjects, revealing behavioral cues and risk indicators that might otherwise remain hidden (Vrij, 2008).

Importantly, behavioral assessment software is not intended to replace polygraph or other traditional investigative methods. Instead, it functions as a complementary resource—one that provides …

Due to rapid global population growth and urbanization, approximately two billion metric tons of waste are generated annually. Municipal solid waste management has become a critical function for urban authorities. However, many urban authorities in low- and middle-income economies cannot provide efficient municipal solid waste management services because of suboptimal stakeholder participation in governance processes and inadequate information exchange. Entrepreneurial Identity And Small Business Performance In An Emerging Nation: The Role Of Effectuation In South Africa, Justice Muchineripi, Willie Chinyamurindi

This study explores the link between entrepreneurial identity and subjective business performance in South African small businesses, focusing on the mediating role of effectuation. Using data from 380 small, medium, and micro enterprises (SMMEs) in the Eastern Cape, the study responds to calls for research that integrates individual and contextual factors in entrepreneurship. Findings which emerged in the study showed that social identity was not significantly linked to subjective performance, spiritual and business identity positively predict positive subjective performance. Rutger Bregman’S Vision: Moral Ambition Without Imagination, Vladimir Snurenco

This review critiques Rutger Bregman’s top-down blueprint—higher taxes, new laws, and big-ticket nonprofits—as a centralized moralism that sidelines the institutions that actually nurture prosperity and dignity: family, church, enterprise, and local associations. I contrast Bregman’s Robin-Hood rhetoric (and his School for Moral Ambition) with a subsidiarity-driven vision rooted in Tocqueville, Kuyper, and Nisbet, and with Michael Pakaluk’s call for vocation within business. Drawing on research by Owen Zidar (the “stealthy wealthy”) and The Millionaire Next Door, I argue Bregman caricatures the rich and misunderstands how wealth is created.
