Although some management research has already highlighted consumption trends resulting from the virus outbreak, very few studies explore how the current pandemic challenges consumption. Three trends are identified: the downsizing of consumption, emergence of anti-globalization sentiments, and negative consumer reactions to the misconduct of brands/companies. We consider several real-world driving factors such as the time spent at traffic signs (e.g., yield signs and stop signs), speed limits, and the topology of the surface to develop realistic and accurate routing solutions. Though these factors increase the complexity of modeling, they provide the flexibility to evaluate the routing solutions from different perspectives: cost, distance, and time, to name a few. First, we develop a set of algorithms based on the Riemannian manifold surface (RMS) to factor in the Earth’s curvature to calculate distances. An incubator program for agricultural startups that's based at Nebraska Innovation Campus has received a $600,000 grant from the federal government. U.S. Secretary of Commerce Wilbur Ross announced Monday that Invest Nebraska was one of 52 organizations from 36 states receiving a Venture Challenge grant to support entrepreneurship, acceleration of company growth, and increased access to risk capital across regional economies. The "Build to Scale" program is an annual program under the Commerce Department's Economic Development Administration. CWD caseworkers had to adjust to working at home, interacting with families differently, and remaining connected to colleagues via technology. It was, according to some staff, difficult and challenging at times. JOHNSON CITY – (Sept. 28, 2020) The 22 students who are part of the inaugural esports varsity team at East Tennessee State University were introduced on Friday, Sept. 25.

The two teams will compete in Overwatch® and League of Legends® and will participate in tournaments hosted by the National Association of Collegiate E-Sports (NACE).

Tryouts for the teams took place earlier this year, and nearly $20,000 in scholarship support has been provided to 14 eligible team members.

Information in this guide will expand marketing campaigns across Utah to promote farmers markets already accepting SNAP benefits, especially to minority and low-income populations. The K-means algorithm is a well-known and widely used clustering algorithm due to its simplicity and convergence properties. However, one of the drawbacks of the algorithm is its instability. This paper presents improvements to the K-means algorithm using a K-dimensional tree (Kd-tree) data structure. The proposed Kd-tree is utilized as a data structure to enhance the choice of initial centers of the clusters and to reduce the number of the nearest neighbor searches required by the algorithm. Product Market Competition, Stock Price Informativeness, And Ifrs Adoption: Evidence From Europe, Jing Wang, Wei Li, Arno Forst

This study examines whether and how policy changes that aim to improve market efficiency, specifically the mandatory adoption of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), influence the relation between product market competition and stock price informativeness. Using a sample of European firms, we find a negative association between product market competition and stock price informativeness as evidenced by larger (smaller) stock price changes surrounding earnings announcements for firms facing more (less) product market competition. These findings are consistent with prior studies examining the U.S. capital market. We further find that IFRS adoption alleviates the negative association. This positive effect is more …

This paper discusses Beyonce’s Lemonade, a visual album released in 2016, and Ntzake Shange’s famous choreopoem, For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide/When the Rainbow is Enuf. The paper will seek to put in conversation the two works and analyze their commentary on redefining the traditional narrative while also working to understand Black Womanhood and the pain, trauma, reconciliation, and healing that comes with it. My Canterbury project will look at the ways in which Shange’s For Colored Girls and Beyonce’s visual text Lemonade merge arts and literature to create a space of healing and renewal for Black women today.

e LEI-N rose by 0.85% during August 2020. August marked the fourth consecutive increase in the leading indicator after sharp declines in March and April. The August result indicates that the Nebraska economy will grow over the next 6 months, continuing a steady recovery from large economic losses in March and April. Five of the six components of the leading indicator improved during August. Airline passenger enplanements grew modestly after seasonal adjustment, and there was a modest increase in building permits for single-family homes.
