JOHNSON CITY (Nov. 11, 2020) – The Documents/Law/Maps Department of the Sherrod Library at East Tennessee State University has partnered with the Archives of Appalachia to curate a digital exhibit for Veterans Day.

Through this effort, six of the Library’s World War II Newsmaps, along with local materials that correspond to the dates on the maps, have been digitized and made available for public view.

According to Paul Nease of the Sherrod Library, the newsmaps, which were published by the U.S. Army Information Branch to motivate and inform American military personnel, summarize weekly developments of military action abroad. The local …

Investigating Organizational Commitment Of Information Professionals Working At University Libraries In Pakistan, Muhammad Ahmed Shah, Haroon Idrees, Muhammad Asif Naveed

This study investigated the organizational commitment of information professionals working at university libraries in Pakistan. Survey method was adopted using a questionnaire to collect data from 329 information professionals of Punjab and Islamabad. The questionnaire contained 18-items measure of organizational commitment, developed by Meyer, Allen and Smith (1993), along with certain demographic variables. Each statement was measured on 5-point Likert scale (e.g. 1=Strongly Disagree, 2=Disagree, 3= Neutral, 4=Agree, 5= Strongly Agree). The collected data were analysed by applying descriptive as well as inferential statistics in SPSS. This study investigated in cross-country and panel form the interactions of bank development, stock market development and global equity index, focusing on the BRICS countries covering the period 1990 to 2018. We found a bidirectional causation between bank development (CPSGDP) and stock market performance as proxied by the depth of the markets (MCAPGDP) in the BRICS countries. Cointegration was also found using the panel cointegration framework and the bounds test for the ARDL estimators. This largely proves that a long-run relationship of both direct and reverse nature exists between bank development and stock market performance. For the bank development and …

JOHNSON CITY (Nov. 9, 2020) – A study by Dr. Martin Olsen of ETSU Health OB/GYN reveals new information about the prevention of neonatal abstinence syndrome (NAS), which occurs when infants go through withdrawal from an addictive drug they were exposed to in the womb.

Olsen’s study, published in the November 2020 issue of the Southern Medical Journal, reviewed the charts of 21 pregnant patients who were enrolled in an outpatient buprenorphine medication-assisted therapy (MAT) tapering program at ETSU Health.

In this article, we will discuss organizational change through change management implementation (CMI) to improve organizational performance as well as a leadership response to social distancing and the global COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic.
