Situation-aware disaster management (SADIM) is a continuous decision-making and action taking process. This process requires prior knowledge of the ongoing environment and context. SADIM comprises two major processes: situation awareness (SA) - a cognitive process that assesses current situations and anticipate future situations in the environment; and, disaster management (DM) which is a decision-making process preventing, preparing, responding, and recovering for and from a disaster. This has brought major changes to the composition of space mission funding strategies, now repositioned as public private partnerships (P3s). Purpose: The purpose of this study is to modify some tests conducted to assess the coordination of movements, and to determine their objectivity on the example of students in grades 7-9. In this article, using modified assessment tests of growth dynamics in traditional classes, the explosive force and variable speed of movement (running) as part of the coordination abilities of students in grades 7-9 studying in a comprehensive school are analyzed.

In the past 30 years, microfinance loans have become a highly popular strategy to reduce poverty and economically empower people in developing countries. Women in particular have become the primary recipients of microfinance loans. However, recent studies show that the loans only have short-term benefits, and ultimately contribute to the indebtedness of the Global South. This paper studies the effectiveness of microfinance loans in the Sacred Valley of Peru (Cusco), and their ability, or lack thereof, to economically empower women in this region.

This paper examines the most common factors that lead to voluntary employee turnover, and the implications employee turnover has on an organization. Additionally, this paper will consider the varying values and workplace expectations of different demographic groups such as Millennials, Generation X, Generation Y, and Baby Boomers and how such factors could influence voluntary turnover. A study is conducted from survey results gathered across a large span of generations that are currently employed. In January 2020, the Houston Astros organization was accused of cheating during the 2017 and 2018 baseball seasons. In 2017, the Astros had also won the World Series, thereby offsetting a sports scandal which dominated media coverage for several months. Owner of the Houston Astros, Jim Crane and his players released a statement to the press, a month after the investigation was concluded by the Major League Baseball organization. The investigation concluded that the Astros, in fact, had been stealing pitching signs from opposing teams and using technology to communicate signs to their pitcher. Artisanal Collaborations And The Preservation Of Intangible Cultural Heritage, Susan G. Goodwin

School of Professional and Continuing Studies Nonprofit Studies Capstone Projects

This study is a qualitative comparative case study of two craft collaborations, utilizing inductive research and interviews. A key member of each group was interviewed via Zoom, the transcripts analyzed and distilled into themes comparing the balance between cultural preservation and economic empowerment. By examining the roles within these collaborations, three key elements of a successful artisanal collaboration were determined to be a long-term commitment, predictable funding, and community leadership. This model could be adapted to the many smaller groups promoting traditional handcraft as a method of empowerment and cultural preservation.
