The aim of this study is to explain how corporate governance affects environmental reporting through the mediating effect of strategic position. The data were collected from chief executive managers and chief financial managers of 197 large companies in Malaysia. The partial least squares technique was used to test the proposed relationships. The results show that managers’ strategic posture mediates the impact of four aspects of corporate governance, namely, board size, board independency, CSR committee presence, and institutional ownership on environmental reporting. It seeks its aims by investigating the energy performance, as well as the summertime comfort of old dwellings in current and future weather predictions. Studies shows that pre-1990 building stock represents one of the least energy-efficient, as these houses were built before the introduction of building envelope directives in building regulation. Methods: Analysis and generalization of literature data, analysis of competitive activity using timekeeping and heart rate monitoring methods, forecasting and modeling based on expert evaluation, instrumental research methods (Garmin and Watt Byte), model experiment simulating competitive activity in natural conditions, pedagogical experiment and methods of mathematical statistics.

Virtual Work Meetings During The Covid-19 Pandemic: The Good, Bad, And Ugly, Katherine A. Karl, Joy V. Peluchette, Navid Aghakhani

This study focuses on the good, the bad and the ugly of using videoconferencing for work-related meetings during the COVID-19 pandemic. Using a text mining process and qualitative content analysis of 549 comments posted to a LinkedIn online discussion board, we identified six key themes; three were tied to camera and microphone issues, two involved eating and meeting management issues, and one dealt with work-from-home issues. These themes are discussed in relationship to media naturalness theory and meeting science. Because widespread use of videoconferencing will likely continue, we provide guidance for workplace policies/practices and suggest directions for future research.

JOHNSON CITY (May 27, 2021) — For almost a decade, groups of East Tennessee State University business student volunteers have offered free tax preparation assistance through the Internal Revenue Service Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Program. This year, having dealt with limitations brought on by COVID-19, the program has concluded for the season with a total of 95 tax returns filed, according to accountancy faculty member Dr. Michelle Freeman. In all, eight students, two alumni, one support staff, and three professors helped make the process happen.
