The research employs WLS Regression for examining the main determinants of the ICO profitability in the crowdfunding stage. The variables are divided into three main categories: financial and technological aspects, and the ICO characteristics, with the aim of verifying which parts most influence the funds raised. The results imply that financial and technological aspects might indeed have an impact on the ICO profitability. The key factors covered are the opensource code availability and the preset hard cap. Does the mass media promote entrepreneurship? Using big data in combination with a machine learning-aided analysis, we discover a positive sentiment bias associated with entrepreneurship present in two major English-language media outlets: The New York Times and the Financial Times. Over 800,000 excerpts from 12- and 16-year periods were analyzed. Those containing the words “entrepreneur” and “founder” were found to have much more positive sentiment than did excerpts with the words “manager” and “executive.” A parallel analysis of the FANG companies (i.e., Facebook, Amazon, Netflix, and Google) in comparison to a set of older and more established Fortune 500 …

Drawing on the person–organization fit theory, we investigate how the value congruence between employees’ collectivist values and their perception of organizational collectivism influences organizational embeddedness. Based on a survey of 515 working adults, the polynomial regression and response surface analysis results support that embeddedness is highest in the presence of both high individual and organizational collectivism. Additionally, the smaller the discrepancy between the two perceptions, the more embedded the employees. Our study contributes to the cultural perspectives in the organizational embeddedness research by theorizing and measuring the impact of collectivism at the individual level. Workplace ostracism is a passive, low intensity behavior associated with coworkers ignoring or excluding others. It is one of several constructs under a larger framework of workplace aggression that is harmful to the target of the ostracism and more broadly, hurts organizations. Ostracism is particularly detrimental in workplace settings because unlike the other overt, direct forms of workplace aggression, the covert, subtle nature of ostracism often leaves targets wondering if the ostracism is real or imagined. Introduction: Burnout in emergency medicine and in residency training has been well-described. The impact of demographic, individual, and programmatic factors on burnout have not previously been determined in a national survey of emergency medicine residents. This study aimed to identify personal and environmental factors impacting resident burnout in a national sample of emergency medicine residents.

Methods: A prospective Emergency Medicine Resident Wellness Survey was administered in 2017. We surveyed respondents on demographic, personal, and environmental factors; each respondent also completed the Maslach Burnout Inventory - Human Services Survey. As the popularity of Islamic banking and financial instruments continues to rise globally, a recurring empirical question is what specifically makes consumers choose Islamic banking. This paper aims to investigate the determinants of bank type selection, especially in culturally diverse settings where the Islamic banking sector is well-established. It further examines whether consumers’ gender/religion influences their choices. One intuitive prediction is that Muslim consumers opt for Islamic banking products as “ethical” because of conviction-related reasons. However, the reality is not necessarily straightforward.

This study quantitatively and qualitatively tests the influence of sales-deployed relational marketing material using an ongoing information stream (OIS) of relevant literature, and measures the impact on a buyer’s likelihood to purchase in the future, the allocation of dollars to a purchase, and the development of relationship, trust, expertise, and reduction of uncertainty in decision making. The study produces generalizable results from a large cross-section sample of 400 buyers under specific conditions that included both imminent and no imminent sale conditions, and varying levels of deployment of the OIS. JOHNSON CITY – (June 17, 2021) East Tennessee State University and BrightRidge celebrated the installation of eight electric vehicle (EV) charging stations on campus today.  The project marked the 100th installation by Seven States Power Corporation in the Tennessee Valley.

The stations are funded through student fees and powered by BrightRidge, which is providing the electric fuel.  Seven States Power Corporation, an energy solutions company, is serving as project manager.

According to Seven States, these eight Level 2 Clipper Creek EV charging stations are capable of providing 25 miles of range per hour for any electric vehicle manufactured for North …
