P2p Accommodation Motivators And Repurchase Intention: A Comparison Of Indirect And Total Effects Before And During The Covid-19 Pandemic, Cass Shum, Billy Bai, Mehmet Erdem

Despite increased research attention on guests’ motivators to use peer-to-peer (P2P) accommodation, such as Airbnb, it remains unclear which motivators have the strongest effect on repurchase intention; and how the COVID-19 pandemic changes the effects of motivators. By conducting two U.S.-based studies before and during the COVID-19 pandemic, this study tested and compared the indirect and total effects of 13 motivators on repurchase intention on the P2P accommodation platforms via satisfaction. Functional motivators increased repurchase intention via satisfaction before and during the pandemic. Neighborhood – a location-based functional motivator – consistently had the strongest total effects on repurchase intention. COVID-anxiety …

While work-family matters continue to receive increasing attention, one group that faces considerable health, childcare, and work adjustment challenges has remained relatively ignored and understudied – postpartum mothers returning to employment. Driven by the work-home resources model as theoretical backing, I used path analytic methods to examine the mechanisms by which key workplace resources for postpartum women, including family-focused support from organizational stakeholders, flexibility availability, and breastfeeding resources, relate to their subsequent perceptions of work interference with family and engagement in physical activity and high quality/quantity sleep. Purpose: The purpose of this phenomenological study was to identify and describe, through the lens of activity theory (AT), the challenges and best practices of marketing directors at private, non-profit higher education institutions on how they lead brand and culture alignment.

Methodology: This phenomenological study collected, analyzed, and triangulated data through 15 semi-structured interviews and the collection of artifacts. Data was then coded into themes, frequencies were calculated, and data was organized into the four categories of AT: tools, rules, community, and division of labor.

Purpose: The purpose of this correlational study was to determine what relationship, if any, existed between employee engagement and psychological safety as measured by the Utrecht Work Engagement Scale (UWES) and the Academy of Brain-based Leadership’s S.A.F.E.T.Y.™ Assessment and Pulse Survey domains of security, autonomy, fairness, esteem, and trust.

Methodology: A quantitative, correlational methodology was used for this study. The post-hoc sample comprised of 61 high-performing sales professionals working in California. Participants completed the three assessments online via SurveyMonkey. The data were analyzed using a Spearman correlation.

Professional sports are a cornerstone of mainstream capitalist society, a site where issuesof race, class, gender, nation, and religion amongst others are produced, contested, and negotiated. In particular, gender regulation policies serve to delineate the acceptable boundaries of racialised gender and create sanctioned opportunities to surveil transgressive bodies. In this thesis, I posit that professional sports rely on and protect uniformity of gender experience to regulate and exclude trans* and intersex participation and, furthermore, that gender regulation policies delineate the boundaries of gender and particularly womanhood in a way that further marginalises nonbinary athletes. Objective: The purpose of this study was to determine the relative importance of different employability skills for business graduates seeking initial employment.

Method: Semi-structured survey questionnaires were administered to human resources representatives from industry, business lecturers, and graduating business students to determine gaps in perceptions between the three stakeholder groups.

Results: There was some alignment and moderate discrepancies in perceptions of the relative importance of different employability skills between the three stakeholder groups. There were statistically significant differences in perceived importance of communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills between graduating students and employers. The Northcentral University (NCU) Library is a 100 percent online library providing services and delivering resources to students in a remote context. According to university facts and figures, approximately 98 percent of students are enrolled in a graduate program and nearly 69 percent of those students are pursuing a doctoral degree. The Remainder Effect: How Automation Complements Labor Quality, James Bessen, Erich Denk, Chen Meng

This paper argues that automation both complements and replaces workers. Extending the Acemoglu-Restrepo model of automation to consider labor quality, we obtain a Remainder Effect: while automation displaces labor on some tasks, it raises the returns to skill on remaining tasks across skill groups. This effect increases between-firm pay inequality while labor displacement affects within-firm inequality. Using job ad data, we find firm adoption of information technologies leads to both greater demand for diverse skills and higher pay across skill groups. This accounts for most of the sorting of skills to high paying firms that is central to rising inequality.

My dissertation includes three essays on crowdsourcing. The first essay provides an extensive literature review on crowdsourcing and shows several gaps in the literature. The second essay highlights the gaps in the literature on innovation contest platforms and draws on the organizational learning literature to fill the gaps. Leading Economic Indicator Reports

The LEI-N rose by 0.58% during January 2022. The increase in the leading indicator, which is designed to predict economic activity six months in the future, signals moderate economic growth in Nebraska through the summer of 2022. The indicator improved for three primary reasons. There were positive business expectations in January according to respondents to the monthly Survey of Nebraska Business. Initial claims for unemployment insurance also fell during the month as a sign of strength for the labor market. The value of the U.S. dollar also fell, which is helpful for Nebraska businesses that compete in international markets.

Introduction: The United States Society of Critical Care Medicine has announced a shortage of all critical care intensivists due to the increased need for critical care for the aging population with comorbidities and improved life expectancy. This shortage has led to tele-ICU programs that have allowed intensivists to care for patients simultaneously remotely.

Methods: This study aimed to assess the potential for the hospital implementation of tele-ICU to determine its overall healthcare cost-effectiveness. The methodology was a review that followed a systematic search approach utilizing 42 sources.

This paper examines the long-standing debate over whether firms have a market-based incentive to adopt optimal governance provisions at their initial public offering (IPO). Various scholars and practitioners have argued that firms that offer stock to the public with suboptimal governance structure will be penalized by the market through a lower IPO price. At the same time, others have documented empirical evidence that many IPO firms have putatively suboptimal governance provisions, such as anti-takeover provisions and dual class structure, and many, especially those with dual-class structure, enjoy a market premium at their IPO.
