Through symbolism of my community, experiences, and personality my body mapping piece represents my diversity and uniqueness. I am proud of who I am and this piece allows me to embrace my differences, qualities, and talents.

Purpose: This research aims to explore how to reshape stock exchanges by using blockchain technology with an emphasis on the case of the Palestine Exchange. Design/methodology/approach: This research gathered primary data from semi-structured and open-ended interviews. Online interviews were conducted to get information from professionals and academics interested in blockchain. The sample for this research was determined using convenience sampling and a snowball sampling approach. The data was analyzed using the deductive content analysis method. The revival of Lebanon involves regaining trust in its banking system. Starting by highlighting the main banking sector’s inefficiencies in Lebanon, as well as the bad investment practices that have led to the current financial crisis, a full business model that could restore confidence in the Lebanese banking sector, and increase its profitability in the foreseeable future is proposed. This new business structure tackles three main areas including, cost reduction, liabilities management, and income generation, is suggested with evidence on how this model could play a major role in the upcoming recovery period and lead to positive financial results.

Fast Moving Consumer Goods Sector In India – Tending Towards Oligopoly?, S. Anupama, Dhanisha Dharmajan, Rajiv Nair

We study the performance of the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) sector, in India. It is the fourth largest sector in India. Macroeconomic factors, modern production techniques, robust logistics facilities, efficient distribution networks and superior marketing capabilities have given the sector an edge over the other sectors. Firm performance is determined by considering liquidity, solvency and profitability ratios and also by employing common size statements, and comparative statements. We find that the sector appears to be overly dependent on the performance of a few firms. We further find that firm performance is not related to non-commercial factors such as CSR.

There is much the MENA/Gulf region can teach regarding the ever-narrowing hegemonic perspectives in the literature - from selfhood, agency, empowerment, women, collectivism, intersectionality to consumption and business practice.

This paper focuses, briefly, on several very large areas of scholarship to consider the issues raised and the opportunities uncovered, as they pertain to the region. The article introduces some important particularities of the region, an overview of some relevant areas of potential future study and outlines how we, as academics, can contribute to a positive future for the Arabian Gulf/ME/NA overall.

This conceptual article proposes a cooperative entrepreneurship framework with a producer cooperative enterprise start-up model to contribute to addressing the complex consequences of the social, political and economic challenges affecting the Arab world. Northeast Journal of Complex Systems (NEJCS)

We formulated and analyzed a set of partial integro-differential equations that capture the dynamics of our adaptive network model of social fragmentation involving behavioral diversity of agents. Previous results showed that, if the agents’ cultural tolerance levels were diversified, the social network could remain connected while maintaining cultural diversity. Here we converted the original agent-based model into a continuous equation-based one so we can gain more theoretical insight into the model dynamics. “It makes the investment in the full-dome technology well worth it,” he said. 

An associate professor in the Department of Physics and Astronomy, Henson is the director of the East Tennessee State University Planetarium, a spacious theatre capable of stunning visual graphics thanks to a state-of the-art, full-dome digital projection system.

Engaged students desire to do well, while course instructors endeavor to create a course environment that will achieve long-term mastery of the subject and student success in the classroom and beyond. Despite the effort put forth by both parties, the result is sometimes less favorable than expected. Studies have shown that people tend to overestimate their own abilities (“overconfidence”). Advertising’s purpose is to create a state of mind conducive to purchase. This study seeks to identify, measure, and understand the intrinsic motivators communicated within print advertisements and quantify their intensities. The theory is that ads with more intense motivator content - distributed somewhat evenly across all four quadrants of the Whole Brain^®Model - will be more effective in influencing that state of mind.This research is the first step in identifying, quantifying, and visualizing motivators communicated within print advertisements. The study analyzed 15 print ads found in contemporary magazines.
