As the nonprofit sector has grown in size and importance over the years, so has competition for donations and attention to the financial behaviors of organizations. Donors and information intermediaries have long expected nonprofits to remain financially lean - there is an expectation for organizations to direct all revenues directly to program areas, and any other spending is viewed as a misappropriation of funds. Nonprofit organizations attempt to satisfy this widely held donor expectation at the expense of organizational infrastructure and growth potential. Since 2018, worker's rights have become a forefront in the battle to developing a more equitable nation in Mexico, specifically regarding domestic employees. In my honors thesis I compare the rights of domestic workers in both the United States and Mexico using elements set forth in the SA8000 Standard formed by the Social Accountability International Organization in order to analyze which country grants more access to these liberties. I then examine different cross-cultural management styles in the countries as a method for explaining the differences in right. JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (May 2, 2023)—Taylor Coston, from Florence, Alabama, a pharmacy and public health student at East Tennessee State University, was awarded the prestigious U.S. Public Health Service (USPHS) Excellence in Public Health Pharmacy Award.

Coston is enrolled in ETSU’s PharmD/Master of Public Health dual degree program and will pursue a career in pharmacy.

Coston is one of 10 students nationwide selected by the Pharmacist Professional Advisory Committee (PharmPAC) Student Awards Program as a “Top Award Recipient” for their public health work that positively impacted their local communities and beyond.

The purpose of this study is to examine the effects of disclosing sales commissions pertaining to an influencer discount code on perceived sincerity of an influencer and attitude toward using the discount code. In the first study, consumers participated in a two-cell (commission disclosure: absent vs. present) between-subjects experimental design. In the second study, consumers participated in a two (commission disclosure: absent vs. present) by two (discount level: low vs. high) between-subjects experimental design. The Senior Executive Service (SES) is the highest tier of executive management and leadership in the federal government. The Latino/a population has significantly increased in the past three decades with no corresponding increase in the federal workforce and the number of Latinos/as serving in the SES remains low. As Latinos/as in the SES are largely underrepresented, their ability to influence federal policies is significantly undermined. The purpose of this study is to explore the testimonios (testimonies) of Latinas in the SES to better understand their experiences while navigating entry into the SES and maintaining their respective positions.

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid's (CMS) Office of Actuary predicts that U.S. national health expenditures will surpass U.S. gross domestic product per capita by 1.1% annually until 2028, totaling $6.2 trillion in healthcare spending. A significant portion of this spending, 36%, is attributed to Medicare and Medicaid. To address this issue, CMS has implemented the Medicare Shared Savings Program (MSSP) to assist Accountable Care Organizations (ACOs) in reducing healthcare costs and improving the quality of care for beneficiaries. The forecasters predict annual-average over annualaverage growth in real GDP of 1.3 percent in 2023, unrevised from their estimate of three months ago. The panelists are also maintaining their forecast for growth in the second quarter at an annual rate of 1.0 percent, unchanged compared with their previous projection. The study was commissioned by the Walton Family Foundation and built on a previous study completed in 2018.
