Cultural Intelligence, Diversity Climate, And Employee Behavior: A Study Of Mne Subsidiaries In China, Juana Du, Rong Wang, Crystal Jiang

This study draws from the literature on workplace diversity, cultural intelligence, and creativity to examine the relationship between diversity climate and employees’ behaviors. With data collected from three multinational enterprise subsidiaries that operated in China for over 25 years, this study reveals that employees’ metacognitive cultural intelligence is positively related to their perceived diversity climate, leading to creative behavior and citizenship altruism behavior. In addition, this study examines an important interpersonal factor that is sensitive to the Confucius culture, harmony, and finds it directly impact motivational cultural intelligence. This study aims to investigate the role of trust and website conversion in consumer responses to green product purchasing, with a new perspective through the lens of innovative website design's technology integration. To achieve this objective, an online survey was conducted with a sample of 384 consumers in Thailand. The results reveal that user trust in innovative website design are significant predictor website conversion in consumer responses to green product purchasing. Innovative website design's technology integration positively influences anticipated website usability and anticipated website quality requirements, which, in turn, enhances trust and leads to increased consumer conversion to green product …

How best to incentivize land managers to achieve conservation goals in an economically and ecologically effective manner is a key policy question that has gained increased relevance from the setting of ambitious new global targets for biodiversity conservation. A group of students from East Tennessee State University recently presented a capstone research project in the nation’s capital, examining intersections between economic development and health disparities within underserved and historically Black communities in Washington County, Tennessee.

The group was among 130 students from 13 colleges and universities in 10 Appalachian states participating in the 23rd annual Appalachian Collegiate Research Initiative (ACRI). Sponsored by the Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC), the ACRI capstone symposium is organized by the Center of Excellence for Appalachian Studies and Services at ETSU.

Special Purpose acquisition companies (SPACs) are an alternative way private entities enter public markets through reverse merger of a publicly listed pool of capital. Price discovery is more transparent than the traditional IPO process, as valuations are negotiated between the SPAC Sponsor and the firm’s management team before shareholders approve through a shareholder vote. I conducted an OLS regression test for a relationship between SPAC activity, using capital invested in SPAC IPOs as a proxy, and various macroeconomic variables. The objective is to provide leaders with practical tools for fostering employee receptivity to change in today's dynamic work environment. This study employs a mixed-method approach involving a literature review and a quantitative survey. The research reveals a positive relationship between transformational leadership and employee openness to change. East Tennessee State University celebrated more than 1,400 members of the Class of 2023 during two Commencement ceremonies held at the Ballad Health Athletic Center today.

During the morning ceremony, Dr. Jessica Burchette, associate professor of Pharmacy Practice at ETSU Bill Gatton College of Pharmacy, was the keynote speaker. Burchette is the 2023 recipient of the ETSU Distinguished Faculty Award in Teaching, the highest teaching honor bestowed by the university.

In her remarks, Burchette provided five tips to the graduating class. Among them, she encouraged the graduates to “prioritize people” and to find ways to serve and be generous.

This game followed multiple alternate broadcasts of NFL games by Nickelodeon and an NHL game themed after Big City Greens on the Disney Channel, Disney XD, and Disney+. Since the recent passing of legislation allowing student-athletes to profit from their own personal brands and sponsorships (Name, Image, and Likeness; NIL), there has been very little research. The purpose of this study was to measure the attitudes and support students have towards the financial compensation of their student-athlete counterparts. The researchers surveyed 67 Coastal Carolina University students. Using a quantitative study, data was gathered pertaining to the opinions toward NIL, feelings of team affiliation, and demographic information. The research aimed to investigate the influence of personal and behavioral factors on cryptocurrency investment, with the introduction of social influence and crypto expert recommendations as moderators to augment the impact of these factors. Utilizing the snowball sampling technique, a survey was conducted with a sample of 349 cryptocurrency investors in Pakistan. The study employed Smart PLS 3.3M3 for moderated mediation analysis of the survey data. Results indicate that personal and behavioral factors significantly and positively impact cryptocurrency investment. Thousands of people were displaced, and nearly 100 people were lost. Inspired by the author's experience as the sole Muslim woman in a company of over 100 employees, the capstone project addresses the observed lack of prioritization for minority inclusion in the workplace.
