Enhancing Summative Assessment And Pedagogy Of Senior Secondary Dance Education Through Digital Technologies, Maria Gamble, Nicola F. Johnson

Despite advances in digital technology, summative assessment in the Australian Tertiary Admissions Rank (ATAR) Dance syllabus remain shaped by historical structures and practices. This study explores how digital technologies might better support fair, valid, and reliable assessment in senior secondary dance education. Through semi-structured interviews with six Australian experts in ATAR Dance curriculum, pedagogy, and assessment, the research highlights a shared interest in using technology to enhance learning and address assessment challenges. Participants acknowledged constraints imposed by traditional models but expressed openness to explore new possibilities and adapt to the current climate. Feminist environmental educational researcher Annette Gough’s recently published book Gender and Environmental Education is a collection of articles that have been foundational to the field of feminist environmental education. This paper shows how two feminist scholars creatively reviewed this book relationally. In doing so, reading, writing, and citational practices were reinvented to create room for generating multiple knowledge relations and connections. Our review demonstrates how letter writing may be used as a form of collective field-building. We invite readers to consider how collective field-building can be made possible through creative and careful reading practices.

Designing, programming, and using digital games are highly engaging activities and can be effective instructional approaches for supporting student learning. Often, students are users of the games rather than taking on the role of designers and developers, the latter of which requires computational and design thinking skills. This action research study explores 73 doctoral students' perceptions of using Generative Artificial Intelligence (GAI) throughout their research journey in one educational doctorate (Ed.D) program. The first phase employed surveys, while the second incorporated semi-structured focus group interviews based on the survey data from a diverse sample of students across educational disciplines currently enrolled in the university's educational leadership doctoral program. Public and private school systems are the two largest providers of formal school education in Pakistan, differing significantly in their governance, resources, and practices. While previous studies showed differences in Student Learning Outcomes (SLOs), often favouring private schools, these comparisons remained largely descriptive. This paper compares elementary grade students’ performance in mathematics and science between public and private schools in Pakistan, accounting for factors such as grade level and geographical region. This study investigates college ESL instructors' experiences in teaching online ESL courses. It explores the differences in teaching focus and online modes for teaching speaking, listening, reading, and writing courses. It also investigates how ESL instructors' perceived level of technology competence varies across different online teaching modes and examines how teaching and learner engagement strategies differ depending on the instructional modality. Key findings include the observation that both BICS and CALP were prevalent in online reading courses. This research study aims to explore motivation and anxiety Saudi and American students in online collaborative learning environments through online courses in U.S. universities and how they relate to their academic performance.

The study utilized a quantitative approach for data collection through an online survey of 99 Saudi students and 39 American students who were enrolled in U.S. universities. The results showed that there was no significant difference in motivation scores between undergraduate Saudi students and their American counterparts.
