Two significant crises facing communities of color are climate and environmental injustices (Schlosberg & Collins, 2014) and the achievement gap in standardized test performance as an impact of inequitable educational experiences rooted in a history of social inequities (Agarwal, 2011; Milner, 2020). Previous studies on teaching mathematics for social justice demonstrate positive student outcomes from this practice (Berry, 2008; Gutstein, 2006). Existing literature also points to benefits when focusing on a specific social justice topic during mathematics instruction (Bartell, 2013; Stocker, 2012). การวิจัยครั้งนี้ มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อ 1) เพื่อพัฒนากิจกรรมการศึกษานอกระบบโรงเรียนที่มีต่อทักษะอาชีพของผู้สูงอายุ ในโรงเรียนผู้สูงอายุ 2) เพื่อศึกษาผลของการจัดกิจกรรมการศึกษานอกระบบโรงเรียนที่มีต่อทักษะอาชีพของผู้สูงอายุ ในโรงเรียนผู้สูงอายุ ผู้วิจัยเก็บรวบรวมข้อมูล โดยใช้แบบสอบถามความต้องการทักษะอาชีพ แบบวัดความรู้ แบบสังเกตพฤติกรรม และการจัดสนทนากลุ่มจากผู้สูงอายุ ในโรงเรียนผู้สูงอายุ จังหวัดสิงห์บุรี โดยสรุปผลการวิจัยได้ ดังต่อไปนี้ 1. การพัฒนากิจกรรมการศึกษานอกระบบโรงเรียนมีต่อทักษะอาชีพของผู้สูงอายุ ในโรงเรียนผู้สูงอายุ พบว่า ผู้สูงอายุมีความต้องการทักษะอาชีพด้านคหกรรม และอาชีพศิลปหัตถกรรมงานฝีมือและสิ่งประดิษฐ์ และกิจกรรมการวางแผนเพื่อสร้างรายได้ โดยการวางแผนลักษณะของกิจกรรมร่วมกัน และสรุปได้ว่า ควรเป็นกิจกรรมที่ยืดหยุ่นและสอดคล้องต่อความต้องการของผู้เรียน สามารถเข้าร่วมกลุ่มกับผู้อื่น และกิจกรรมก่อให้เกิดความรู้และทักษะที่เกิดจากการลงมือปฏิบัติ จากข้อมูลความต้องการทักษะอาชีพและลักษณะกิจกรรม ผู้วิจัยได้นำมาพัฒนาเป็นกิจกรรมตามแนวคิดการจัดการเรียนการสอนของโนลล์ ซึ่งกิจกรรมทักษะอาชีพของผู้สูงอายุ ในโรงเรียนผู้สูงอายุ เกิดเป็นกิจกรรมการศึกษานอกระบบโรงเรียนที่มีต่อทักษะอาชีพของผู้สูงอายุ ในโรงเรียนผู้สูงอายุ รวมทั้งสิ้น 6 กิจกรรม กระบวนการของกิจกรรม มีตามขั้นตอนดังต่อไปนี้ 1.สร้างบรรยากาศที่เอื้ออำนวยต่อการเรียนรู้ คือ จัดให้ผู้สูงอายุเคลื่อนไหวร่างกายประกอบเพลงก่อนการเริ่มกิจกรรมและกิจกรรมละลายพฤติกรรม 2.การวางแผนการเรียนรู้ร่วมกัน ผู้วิจัยได้ให้ผู้สูงอายุมีส่วนร่วมในการวางแผนกิจกรรมเพื่อเข้าใจเป้าหมายของกิจกรรมในทิศทางเดียวกัน 3.วิเคราะห์ความต้องการ เป็นข้อมูลที่ได้จากการสรุปประเด็นจากแบบสอบถามความต้องการทักษะอาชีพ 4.กำหนดวัตถุประสงค์ ผู้สูงอายุมีส่วนร่วมในการกำหนดวัตุประสงค์ และแลกเปลี่ยนความคิดเห็นร่วมกัน 5.การออกแบบกิจกรรม ได้แบ่งกิจกรรมการเรียนรู้ ออกเป็น 3 ส่วน คือ 1) การเตรียมวัตถุดิบ/วัสดุ 2) การลงมือปฏิบัติกิจกรรม และ 3) การจัดตกแต่งให้สวยงาม 6.การดำเนินกิจกรรม จัดกิจกรรมตามแผนที่กำหนดไว้ โดยมีผู้สอนเป็นผู้อำนวยความสะดวก 7.การประเมินผลการเรียนรู้ เป็นการประเมินการเรียนรู้ร่วมกัน ระหว่างผู้สอน ผู้เรียนและผู้วิจัย 2. ผลของการจัดกิจกรรมการศึกษานอกระบบโรงเรียนที่มีต่อทักษะด้านอาชีพของผู้สูงอายุ ในโรงเรียนผู้สูงอายุ พบว่า กิจกรรมทักษะอาชีพทั้ง 6 กิจกรรม เป็นการจัดกิจกรรมที่เหมาะสมกับผู้สูงอายุ ทำให้ผู้สูงอายุเกิดความรู้และทักษะที่เพิ่มมากขึ้น โดยได้จากการลงมือปฏิบัติกิจกรรมด้วยตนเอง เมื่อเปรียบเทียบผลก่อนการเข้าร่วมกิจกรรมสูงกว่าหลังการเข้าร่วมกิจกรรมด้วยค่าทางสถิติอย่างมีนัยสำคัญที่ 0.05 ภายหลังเสร็จสิ้นกิจกรรมทักษะอาชีพ 30 วัน ผู้วิจัยได้ติดตามผลการสะท้อนกลับของผู้สูงอายุ พบว่า ผู้สูงอายุนำความรู้ไปพูดคุยแลกเปลี่ยนความคิดเห็นระหว่างกลุ่มผู้สูงอายุด้วยกัน ที่แสดงให้เห็นถึงความคงทนของความรู้ที่ได้รับ นอกจากความรู้ที่ได้รับเพื่อเป็นพื้นฐานของการพัฒนาตนเอง ผู้สูงอายุในกลุ่มทดลอง ได้นำทักษะอาชีพที่ได้จากกิจกรรมการเรียนรู้ไปประยุกต์ใช้ในชีวิตประจำวัน เพื่อประกอบเป็นอาชีพ ในการสร้างรายได้แก่ตนเอง มีการวางแผนเพื่อออกแบบผลิตภัณฑ์ที่เหมาะสมกับแหล่งจำหน่ายสินค้า และปัจจัยอื่นๆ ที่ส่งผลต่อการวางแผนการตลาด จากนั้นจึงนำสินค้าไปจำหน่ายเพื่อสร้างรายได้ด้วยตนเอง และส่งผลพัฒนาคุณภาพชีวิตที่ดีขึ้น อีกทั้งยังช่วยให้การเงินทุนหมุนเวียนในชุมชน …

การศึกษาวิจัยครั้งนี้ มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อ 1) เพื่อพัฒนาโปรแกรมการศึกษานอกระบบโรงเรียนเพื่อเสริมสร้างความสามารถของครอบครัวและผู้ที่ไว้วางใจในการเสริมพลังอำนาจให้แก่ผู้ผ่านพ้นการถูกล่วงละเมิดทางเพศ และ 2) เพื่อเสนอแนวทางในการนำโปรแกรมการศึกษานอกระบบโรงเรียนเพื่อเสริมสร้างความสามารถของครอบครัวและผู้ที่ไว้วางใจในการเสริมพลังอำนาจให้แก่ผู้ผ่านพ้นการถูกล่วงละเมิดทางเพศไปใช้ในบริบทสังคมไทย ใช้วิธีการวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพแบบกรณีศึกษา ผู้มีส่วนร่วมในการวิจัย คือ (1) ผู้ผ่านพ้นการถูกล่วงละเมิดทางเพศ จำนวน 1 ราย และ (2) ครอบครัวและผู้ที่ไว้วางใจที่เข้าร่วมโปรแกรม จำนวน 4 ราย โดยเครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการวิจัย คือ แบบสัมภาษณ์กึ่งโครงสร้าง แบบบันทึกการสังเกต และวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลโดยการวิเคราะห์เนื้อหา ผลการวิจัยพบว่า การพัฒนาโปรแกรมการศึกษานอกระบบโรงเรียนเพื่อเสริมสร้างความสามารถของครอบครัวและผู้ที่ไว้วางใจการเสริมพลังอำนาจให้แก่ผู้ผ่านพ้นการถูกล่วงละเมิดทางเพศ มีกระบวนการในการพัฒนา 8 ขั้นตอน ประกอบด้วย 1) ศึกษาบริบทและกำหนดกลุ่มเป้าหมาย 2) สร้างความไว้วางใจและพื้นที่ปลอดภัย 3) สืบค้นสถานการณ์ปัญหา 4) ระบุขอบเขตเนื้อหาการเรียนรู้ 5) ออกแบบกิจกรรมการเรียนรู้ 6) จัดกิจกรรมการเรียนรู้ 7) ประเมินผล และ 8) ติดตามผล และโปรแกรมประกอบด้วยองค์ประกอบ 6 ประการ ได้แก่ 1) ความเป็นมาและสถานการณ์ที่เกิดขึ้น 2) วัตถุประสงค์ 3) ขอบเขตเนื้อหาการเรียนรู้ 4) กิจกรรมการเรียนรู้ 5) สภาพแวดล้อม และ 6) การประเมินผลและติดตามผลการเรียนรู้ ทั้งนี้ แนวทางในการนำโปรแกรมการศึกษานอกระบบโรงเรียนเพื่อเสริมสร้างความสามารถของครอบครัวและผู้ที่ไว้วางใจในการเสริมพลังอำนาจให้แก่ผู้ผ่านพ้นการถูกล่วงละเมิดทางเพศไปใช้ในบริบทสังคมไทย ประกอบด้วย 1) การศึกษาบริบทของสังคมไทยในช่วงเวลานั้นๆ เพื่อให้โปรแกรมสอดคล้องและเหมาะสมกับสถานการณ์ที่เป็นอยู่ 2) การกำหนดกลุ่มเป้าหมายผู้นำไปใช้สามารถกำหนดได้โดยอิสระ แต่ต้องมีการพิจารณาให้เหมาะสม 3) การเตรียมคณะทำงานให้มีความพร้อม และมีความเข้าใจในการจัดโปรแกรม โดยเฉพาะอย่างยิ่งแนวคิดพื้นฐานในการจัดโปรแกรม 4) การเลือกใช้กิจกรรมการเรียนรู้สามารถเลือกใช้ได้หลายรูปแบบ 5) การนำโปรแกรมไปใช้ด้วยความยืดหยุ่น 6) การติดตามประเมินผลด้วยวิธีการที่หลากหลาย

African Americans found ways to respond to the needs of their communities as volunteers when they were denied many services available to Whites citizens. Opportunities to volunteer were provided both formally and informally through churches, sororities, fraternities and other organizations. This qualitative study explored the impediments, social adjustments challenges, and classroom experiences of F-1 international students enrolled at community colleges in the Midwest region of the United States with at least one semester completed after their arrival. Through their respective accounts, the participants shared their positive and negative experiences about their respective host environments, struggles and challenges, acculturation, perseverance, and triumphs. The assertions and themes produced from the analysis of participant interviews provided salient insights into the experiences of the selected F-1 international students. The main purpose of this qualitative case study was to examine the interactions of international students who were pursuing doctoral degrees at a public university in the Midwest (PUM) with their writing tutors. This study also explored how their writing center experiences contributed to their academic experiences. Sociocultural theory and situated learning theory served as the conceptual framework for this qualitative case study. Sociocultural theory guided understanding of the nature of the interactions, while situated learning revealed how the students’ experiences with their writing center coaches helped them join the U.S. academic community of practice through the socialization process. The purpose of this narrative inquiry was to explore ways to integrate the principles of spiritual leadership theory into therapeutic practice and to understand how spiritual leadership is used in therapy sessions from therapists’ own perspectives. Semi-structured interviews served as the major sources of data. The findings of the study reveal that early intervention therapists incorporated the elements of spiritual leadership, such as hope and faith, to enhance services provided to children and families.

This qualitative research explored why older people do not participate in formal and nonformal education. This study focused on older adults who have not participated in formal or nonformal education since their retirement. Recent studies have shown that participation in formal and nonformal educational activities is an effective way to maintain and enhance cognitive health. The study identified unique individual experiences that influenced the decision-making process regarding participation in educational activities—related to personal interests, commitments, previous academic achievements, classroom environment, benefits derived from participation, and financial considerations. This study used a mixed methods research design to examine the impact of entrepreneurship training on entrepreneurial mindset and economic well-being using the RVA Works Entrepreneurship Training Program as a case study. With human capital theory as a theoretical framework, a combination of 55 interviews and 36 surveys were used to answer the research questions. The study found that entrepreneurship training positively impacts an entrepreneurial mindset. The impact of the training on entrepreneurial mindset differed by participants age and educational level. This study assessed a localized academic readiness model that measures academic skills relevant to an occupational program and the institutional context. Enrollment in the program’s mandatory gateway course is contingent upon establishing academic readiness either: (1) possess an associate-level or higher degree; (2) achieve placement test scores that permit enrollment in college-level English composition/critical reading; or (3) complete developmental education prerequisites to permit enrollment in college-level English composition/critical reading. As interest in the use of games and gaming elements within learning environments grows, educators and designers may find it easier to account for winning than for losing and failure. This scoping review examines the role of failure and loss within game-based instructional interventions. Because of the varied methods and relatively small number of articles directly addressing the intersection between failure and loss within game-based instructional interventions, a scoping review was undertaken.
