Kebutuhan kompetensi di era digital lebih khusus di era Masyarakat Ekonomi Asean (MEA) membutuhkan tenaga kerja professional di bidang keahlian Teknologi Informasi dan Komunikasi. Salah satu bidang keahlian di SMK adalah bidang keahlian Teknologi Informasi dan Komunikasi. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui pemetaan kompetensi lulusan SMK TIK di Kota Makassar dan peluang kerja lulusan TIK. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kuantitatif. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah menjamin tingkat kualitas Sistem Informasi Kegiatan Sekolah berbasis mobile web agar tidak terjadi error serta fitur dan fugsionalitasnya sesuai yang dijanjikan dengan melakukan pengujian menggunakan standar ISO 25010. Pengujian dilakukan menggunakan 4 karakteristik pada standar ISO 25010 yaitu functional suitability, compatibility, usability, dan performance efficiency. SMK Negeri 1 Malang merupakan salah satu sekolah yang telah menggunakan e-learning namun sistem e-learning SMK Negeri 1 Malang belum diukur tingkat keberhasilannya. Oleh sebab itu tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui kerhasilan sistem e-learning SMK Negeri 1 Malang dengan menggunakan model analisis DeLone dan McLean. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa e-learning SMK Negeri 1 Malang dinyatakan berhasil.

The purpose of this study was to examine quality indicators currently guiding the rigor of secondary career and technical education (CTE) programs of study in the United States. Quality indicators are desirable characteristics or expectations for a comprehensive and effective CTE program of study. As of May 2017, we were able to locate publicly accessible secondary CTE quality program standards/guidelines for 38 states. A majority (n=24) updated their secondary CTE quality program standards/guidelines within the last five years (i.e., 2012-2017). In support of the national push for promoting career readiness, school-business partnerships have been noted as an important support strategy. However, there is limited research in the context of career academies. Thus, we sought to explore the nature of a partnership between an information technology (IT) career academy and local business partners. We found that the development of social capital is required to keep the network of partners bonded toward a common goal, bridged through a Business Advisory Council to facilitate planning and related supports, and linked by a local web of connecting relationships. This multiple case study explored Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs that were identified as having a focus on sustainability. Using the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education, Sustainability Tracking, Assessment, and Rating System (AASHE STARS) as a conceptual framework, the researchers interpreted whether the social, economic, and environmental concepts of sustainability were included in these programs' curriculum. Findings suggested that several factors impacted program curriculum: (1) attentiveness to industry trends; (2) sustainability as an institutional core value; (3) geographic location of urban versus rural; (4) program maturity; and (5) advisory committee influence. The purpose of this study was to identify latent classes of college-educated late-baby-boomer generation women’s economic attainment (income) patterns during mid-career and examine the family and job satisfaction characteristics within each latent class. Longitudinal latent class analysis was used to analyze income data from the National Longitudinal Survey of Youth 1979 for 607 college-educated women in the United States for the years 1990 to 2010. The analysis revealed five distinct patterns of women’s economic attainment. There has been a noted shortage in skilled labor throughout the construction industry. This shortage has been attributed by some professional organizations to generational differences in the workforce participants. Leading some to suggest that younger generations exhibit character flaws such as laziness at a higher rate than that of older generations. It is the position of this author that this conclusion is flawed. The role of the school counselor is to execute efforts to address each student’s academic, personal/social, and career development needs (ASCA, 2005). Middle and high school counselors are often tasked with activities that do not align with national and state standards for school counseling. This internship/project report includes validation documents required in meeting the quality criteria for secondary-level programs of instruction in agriculture. The documents are concurrently used for the Agriculture Incentive Grant review process at Las Plumas High School conducted by representatives of the California Department of Education. The internship included the construction of a facility to house and care for fair livestock. Accompanying the project report are photos illustrating the construction steps and educational processes utilized to complete the project.

Work ethic has been a constant, but elusive topic for decades. This study sought to identify the differences in perception of work ethic in between students, educators, and employers. Seventy-two participants observed videos of workers in various tasks and rated the perceived work ethic of the person in the video by using a sliding Likert scale. Additionally, participants were asked to comment as to why they rated the worker the way they did. Quantitative analyses were used to determine differences in the participant’s work ethic ratings. Qualitative analyses interpreted respondents’ comments to better understand the results. Results indicated that while …

Electronic Flight Bags (EFBs) are now standard in the commercial aviation industry. Air carriers must implement and maintain EFB training and policies according to FAA regulations. Pilots are also using EFBs at collegiate aviation programs.This study investigated EFB practices at collegiate aviation programs, and how well these practices complied with FAA recommendations. Specifically, the research investigated whether or not the presence of an official EFB policy at a flight program had any relation to the quality of the EFB program.
