Wireless communication systems have experienced rapid advancements over the last decade, with 5G systems becoming the regular standards and 6G systems being under development. However, the naval ship environment still requires more study due to the special indoor characteristics of the spaces below the deck, where the metal structures strongly impact the propagation characteristics, being prone to signal degradation, dead spots, and unreliable connectivity. In the most simplistic form, mathematical identities manifest in the statements, “I am good at math” or “I am not good at math”. Once established, individuals’ identities influence how they interact and approach mathematical problem-solving (Bishop, 2012; Boaler, 2013; Boaler & Selling, 2017). The purpose of this mixed-method explanatory sequential study is to explore a deeper understanding of how elementary teachers’ mathematical identities influence their beliefs about effective math instruction. Utilizing an explanatory sequential mixed-method design, a questionnaire was used for the initial quantitative analysis of teachers' mathematical identities. Addressing the participation rates in senior secondary mathematics courses in Australian schools remains a critically important issue. In this paper, the authors report on quantitative findings from a study in which all year 11 and year 12 (aged 17–18 years) Australian Tertiary Admissions Ranking (ATAR) students in Western Australia were invited to participate. The aim was to explore the perceptions of these students regarding their enrolment in higher-level mathematics courses. Data from 1633 students were collected using a survey instrument comprised of 12, 5-point, Likert-scale items. This study investigates whether Prodigy improves student achievement in mathematics; whether Prodigy improves, specifically, math achievement of special education students, students of different ethnicities, and students of different genders. Further, the study wanted to explore student perceptions of Prodigy. The study was conducted in two fifth grade classrooms with a total of 31 participants. Two mathematics units were utilized to compare; one on multiplying whole numbers and the other on dividing whole numbers. This study explored 10 prospective teachers’ (PTs’) understanding of the area of a rectangular region using square and non-square rectangular area-units. In an hour-long interview, each PT was first asked to explain how they would find the area of a given rectangular region in terms of a non-square notecard. For several PTs, this task prompted discussion of a square unit defined by the edge of the notecard. I taught ‘Curriculum Teaching and Learning’ as one of the master-level courses that enables course participants to broaden their understanding of curriculum models, teaching, learning and assessment approaches. The assignment required participants to choose a topic in their subject area, review relevant literature, and identify challenges faced by teachers and students during teaching and learning that topic.
In addition, course participants were asked to list misconceptions students possess regarding the relevant topics and explore possible solutions and recommendations to address the identified challenges and misconceptions. This study examined student-generated metaphors comparing food to math as a means of accessing and assessing components of prekindergarten through Grade 8 students’ (N = 306) mathematical disposition. Previous research provided insight into predominantly affective components of older students’ mathematical disposition (i.e. Grade 4 through college). However, we extend these findings to include nonaffective components and younger students. การวิจัยนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อ 1) เปรียบเทียบความก้าวหน้าของความสามารถในการแก้ปัญหาอย่างสร้างสรรค์หลังได้รับการจัดการเรียนรู้กับเกณฑ์ 2) ศึกษาการเปลี่ยนแปลงความก้าวหน้าของความสามารถในการแก้ปัญหาอย่างสร้างสรรค์ และ 3) วิเคราะห์ความก้าวหน้าของความสามารถในการแก้ปัญหาอย่างสร้างสรรค์ของนักเรียนที่เรียนรู้โดยใช้โครงงานเป็นฐานร่วมกับกระบวนการคิดเชิงออกแบบ การวิจัยครั้งนี้เป็นการวิจัยเชิงทดลองเบื้องต้น กลุ่มที่ศึกษา คือ นักเรียนระดับชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 3 สถาบันการศึกษา สังกัด สพม.กท. เขต 1 จำนวน 40 คน ในรายวิชาโครงงานวิทยาศาสตร์ภาคเรียนที่ 2 ปีการศึกษา 2567 ได้มาจากการเลือกอย่างเจาะจง เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการทดลอง คือ แผนการจัดการเรียนรู้รายหน่วย 3 แผน รวม 22 คาบเรียน และเครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการเก็บข้อมูล คือ แบบวัดความสามารถในการแก้ปัญหาอย่างสร้างสรรค์ ทดสอบเมื่อจบกิจกรรมการเรียนรู้ในแต่ละแผน วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลโดยใช้ค่าความถี่ ร้อยละ สถิติทดสอบ การวิเคราะห์ความแปรปรวนแบบวัดซ้ำ (Repeated-Measures ANOVA) การทดสอบค่าทีสำหรับกลุ่มตัวอย่างเดียว (One-sample t-test) และการวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลเชิงคุณภาพ ผลการวิจัยพบว่า 1) ความก้าวหน้าของความสามารถในการแก้ปัญหาอย่างสร้างสรรค์หลังเรียน ไม่แตกต่างจากร้อยละ 60 อย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .05 ซึ่งไม่ผ่านเกณฑ์ระดับดี 2) ความก้าวหน้าของความสามารถในการแก้ปัญหาอย่างสร้างสรรค์ มีการเปลี่ยนแปลงเกิดขึ้น แบ่งเป็น 3 รูปแบบ ได้แก่ ระดับความก้าวหน้าสูงขึ้น 18 คน คงเดิม 16 คน และลดลง 6 คน 3) ความก้าวหน้าของความสามารถในการแก้ปัญหาอย่างสร้างสรรค์ในแต่ละองค์ประกอบมีแนวโน้มสูงขึ้น
