The purpose of this study was to investigate college students' perception of an uncomfortable sexual experience and identify factors that may reinforce revictimization of rape victims. An additional purpose was to compare perceptions of rape victims to perceptions of those who have never been raped, but because the sample size of rape victims was too small, and the data could not be analyzed and data from rape victims were eliminated from further analyses. The purpose of this study was to examine family and school variables in relation to different types of perpetration, victimization and witnessing experiences (physical, social, verbal and cyber). Students (n=253) in grades 7 to 8 from two middle schools located in a suburb in southeastern Michigan participated in the study. Data were collected during the 2008-2009 school year.

Statistically significant differences were found for perpetration and victimization by gender and perpetration and witnessing by grade. No gender and grade interaction results were significant. especially those involving candy (e.g., Cherny, 2008), I created a collection of demonstrations in introductory psychology that involve the use of candy. To test their effectiveness in helping students learn concepts introductory psychology, I asked students to provide feedback about the how enjoyable some of the activities were, how useful they were in illustrating their intended topic, and whether they made the concepts more memorable. Results suggest that the “Twizzlers” exercise was the most memorable (as measured by accuracy to question #1) and that the “Jelly Bellies” exercise was the most enjoyable (as measured by responses to question #6).

This present study aims to investigate learners’ motivation in the learning of English as a second language at university level and the factors that affect their motivation. This article reports on the successful first year implementation of a new graduate student mentoring program initiated at the 2009 Louisville convention of the Association for Educational Communications and Technology. This program was developed by the 2008 ECT Intern class, but will be continued at future conventions by the Leadership Development Committee and the Graduate Student Assembly. Information is provided to potential students and mentors interested in applying for the 2010 program.

Research suggests that the propensity to forgive expressed by societies is often influenced by the cultural orientation of the society. Collectivistic societies tend to express a higher level of willingness to forgive than individualistic societies. This study examined how two samples of different cultural orientations, Lebanese and American, define forgiveness and express their feelings, thoughts and behavior towards a specific offender who has hurt them in the past. In addition to that, the willingness to forgive of the two samples was measured. Functional behavioral assessment (FBA) is a process that attempts to uncover specific causes and reinforcement of inappropriate behavior in order to design and implement interventions that more accurately address these behaviors. According to the 1997 amendments to the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act, functional assessments are now required in working with students struggling with inappropriate behavior. The purpose of this study was to investigate non-cognitive motivational factors as indicators of academic achievement of male athletes and male non-athletes as measured by a secondary data analysis of the College Student Inventory (CSI) from Fall 2003 to Fall 2005. Deci and Ryan's (2000) self-determination theory provided the conceptual framework for this study.

The CSI was administered through a survey technique. Participants in the survey sample were selected from 142 first semester freshman male athletes and male non-athletes enrolled at a Midwestern University.
