This qualitative study examines the implementation of Social Emotional Learning (SEL) in two high-performing high schools in New Jersey. SEL, as defined by CASEL, involves fostering competencies such as self-awareness, social awareness, relationship skills, selfmanagement, and responsible decision-making, contributing to students’ academic, social, and emotional development. Despite its recognized benefits, the district faces challenges in consistently and effectively implementing SEL at the high school level. The primary goal of the study is to identify opportunities and barriers to engaging educators in implementing SEL with fidelity at the high school level. Medical students with disabilities constitute 7.6% of allopathic (MD) and 4.3% of osteopathic (DO) programs, and they are entitled to reasonable accommodation, per the Americans with Disabilities Act. However, research has demonstrated that disabled medical students often encounter barriers when accessing accommodations. In response to these barriers, Medical Students with Chronic Illness and Disability (MSDCI) National created the MSDCI Guide to Accessing Disability Accommodations During Undergraduate Medical Education (the Guide). This study explored perceptions of teacher retention from the lens of veteran teachers in an effort to examine why teachers remain in the classroom. According to Carver-Thomas and Darling- Hammond (2017), teacher turnover negatively impacts student achievement and the efforts to replace teachers puts school districts in a financial bind. Through the interview process, this study examined the stories of fifteen veteran teachers in East Tennessee as they described their experiences of persistence in the field of education. This qualitative case study investigates how Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) influence teacher self-efficacy and collaboration in a rural school district. Using a qualitative case study approach, researchers will collect qualitative data through focus groups and interviews. Themes drawn from this study include trust and relationships as the foundation of collaboration, structure and purpose, challenges and barriers, teacher buy-in and perceptions, trust and collaboration, PLC structure and implementation, and the impact on teacher efficacy and student success. The core issue addressed by this study is the problem of poor school identification among students, which leads to low attendance, poor graduation rates, and limited participation in college preparation activities. This qualitative case study explored stakeholders' perceptions in Baxter County, Arkansas, regarding workforce development initiatives at Mountain Home High School Career Academies and Arkansas State University-Mountain Home. The purpose was to understand if these initiatives met local employers' needs and contributed to creating a skilled and educated labor force, thereby enhancing the area's economic vitality. This qualitative phenomenological study aimed to explore the experiences of female superintendents in leadership positions, focusing on the opportunities and barriers they faced on the journey to the superintendency and in the position of superintendent. Women are underrepresented in the superintendency in the female-dominated educational field. The purpose of this non-experimental quantitative study was to investigate the relationship between learned helplessness and academic baseline levels among adult students who dropped out of high school and have returned to a high school equivalency program to prepare to take the GED examination. The study controlled for the variables of the age of the student at the time of GED program enrollment, gender, race/ethnicity, and socioeconomic status. To address this teacher shortage, the Oklahoma Department of Education has eased restrictions by providing an alternative pathway into the classroom called emergency-certification. This study explored the relationship between principal leadership style and collective teacher efficacy in K-12 schools across five districts in South Carolina. The research problem addressed how different leadership styles—transformational, transactional, and passive-avoidant—affect teachers’ collective beliefs in their ability to positively influence student outcomes. A correlational quantitative research design was employed to examine the relationship between leadership style and collective teacher efficacy. The guiding theoretical framework was based on transformational leadership theory. Data was collected using the Multifactor Leadership Questionnaire. This qualitative instrumental case study aimed to examine the factors that influence the decision of African American males who graduated from high-poverty high schools in New York City and decided not to attend college. A qualitative instrumental case study research design was done through the use of one-on-one, semi-structured interviews with 12 African American males who graduated from urban, high-poverty high schools in New York City between 2018 and 2023.
