This Dissertation of Practice explores how gay men navigate their identities while attending religiously conservative colleges and universities. These institutions often create conflict between students’ sexual identities and their faith before college life. Rather than focus on the voids or deficit, this study focused on how students are able to feel a sense of belonging through each other, even when support form Faculty and Staff is not always present. Guided by Bronfenbrenner’s Ecological Systems Theory, this study examines how interactions at multiple levels—from peers and faculty to institutional policies and broader society—play an impact in their college experience.

This qualitative grounded theory study examined how new graduate nurses who entered practice just prior to and during the COVID-19 pandemic developed and sustained resilience while navigating extraordinary professional and personal challenges. The study focused on associate degree nurses who graduated between December 2018 and May 2022 and were employed in acute and sub-acute care settings with direct patient care responsibilities, including the care of patients with COVID-19. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews and reflective journal entries and analyzed using open, axial, and selective coding.

This critical quantitative analysis explores how social determinants of health, including basic needs security, caregiving and work responsibilities, healthcare access, discrimination experiences, and institutional support predict resilience among U.S. college women with dependents. Using data from the Spring 2021 ACHA-NCHA III survey (n = 4,417), this study integrated the Health Equity Framework with the Social Ecological Theory of Resilience to examine multilevel influences on resilience. Descriptive analyses highlighted disproportionate burdens among single, first-generation, and racially minoritized groups. Bivariate chi-square tests revealed significant associations between resilience and sense of belonging, basic needs security, employment, healthcare utilization, and self-assessed overall health. งานวิจัยนี้ เป็นงานวิจัยกึ่งทดลอง โดยทำการเก็บข้อมูลจาก อาสาสมัครนักศึกษา ที่มาจากวิทยาลัยเทคโนโลยีพณิชยการปากช่อง อำเภอปากช่อง จังหวัดนครราชสีมา โดยใช้การเลือกแบบอาสาสมัคร ที่มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อ 1)เพื่อศึกษาผลการจัดกิจกรรมเสริมหลักสูตรเสริมสร้างทักษะการคิดวิเคราะห์โดยใช้แนวคิดการเรียนรู้จากประสบการณ์ของนักศึกษาอาชีวศึกษา 2)เพื่อนำเสนอแนวทางการเสริมสร้างทักษะการคิดวิเคราะห์ของนักศึกษาอาชีวศึกษาจากกิจกรรมเสริมหลักสูตรโดยใช้แนวคิดการเรียนรู้จากประสบการณ์ กลุ่มตัวอย่างที่ในการเก็บข้อมูล คือ นักศึกษาอาชีวศึกษาวิทยาลัยเทคโนโลยีพณิชยการปากช่อง จำนวน 30 คน เครื่องมือที่ใช้ คือ 1)แผนการจัดกิจกรรมเสริมหลักสูตร 2)แบบทดสอบทักษะการคิดวิเคราะห์ของนักศึกษาอาชีวศึกษา 3)แบบประเมินผลความพึงพอใจในการเข้าร่วมกิจกรรมเสริมหลักสูตร มีสถิติที่ใช้ ได้แก่ ร้อยละ ค่าเฉลี่ย ส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน และการทดสอบค่าทีแบบ dependent t-test ผลการวิจัยพบว่า 1)ผลการวัดทักษะการคิดวิเคราะห์พบว่าคะแนนที่ได้จากการวัดทักษะการคิดวิเคราะห์รวมทุกด้าน นักศึกษาส่วนใหญ่มีทักษะการคิดวิเคราะห์อยู่ในระดับดีมากเมื่อพิจารณาเป็นรายด้านการวิเคราะห์ความสำคัญ การวิเคราะห์ความสัมพันธ์และการวิเคราะห์หลักการพบว่าการวิเคราะห์หลักการมีค่าเฉลี่ยมากที่สุด ((X) = 4.60 , S.D. = 0.56) และการวิเคราะห์ความสำคัญค่าเฉลี่ยน้อยที่สุด ((X) = 3.14 , S.D. = 0.63) ผู้วิจัยจึงนำผลการจัดกิจกรรมเสริมหลักสูตร พบว่านักศึกษาอาชีวศึกษามีทักษะการคิดวิเคราะห์หลังจัดกิจกรรมเสริมหลักสูตรโดยใช้แนวคิดการเรียนรู้จากประสบการณ์สูงกว่าก่อนจัดกิจกรรมเสริมหลักสูตร อย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .05 เพิ่มขึ้นทุกด้าน แสดงว่ากิจกรรมเสริมหลักสูตรนี้มีเนื้อหาและกระบวนการถ่ายทอดทักษะความรู้ที่เหมาะสมในการเสริมสร้างนักศึกษาให้เกิดทักษะการคิดวิเคราะห์ 2)แนวทางการเสริมสร้างทักษะการคิดวิเคราะห์ของนักศึกษาอาชีวศึกษาประกอบด้วย 5 แนวทางดังนี้คือ 1)แนวทางระดับสถานศึกษาและหลักสูตรสร้างบรรยากาศการเรียนรู้ที่เปิดกว้างการเปิดโอกาสให้นักศึกษาแสดงความคิดเห็นได้อย่างอิสระช่วยให้กล้าคิดวิเคราะห์ซึ่งเป็นหัวใจของการเรียนรู้จากประสบการณ์ 2)แนวทางระดับครูผู้สอนควรบูรณาการแนวคิดการเรียนรู้จากประสบการณ์เข้ากับกิจกรรมเสริมหลักสูตรอย่างเป็นระบบ โดยการส่งเสริม “การลงมือปฏิบัติจริง” และมีการสะท้อนคิดเพื่อให้ได้ฝึกการคิด วิเคราะห์ โดยเฉพาะในสาขาวิชาที่ต้องใช้ทักษะวิชาชีพ โดยครูมีบทบาทเป็น “ผู้อำนวยความรู้” มากกว่าการเป็นผู้ถ่ายทอดความรู้ 3)แนวทางระดับนักศึกษาจัดกิจกรรมที่ให้นักศึกษาได้ลงมือปฏิบัติจริงซึ่งช่วยพัฒนาทักษะการคิดวิเคราะห์ได้เป็นอย่างดี 4)แนวทางการประเมินผลใช้การประเมินจากผลงานจริงการสังเกตพฤติกรรม 5)แนวทางการประยุกต์ใช้ในระดับผู้บริหารนโยบายการศึกษาสนับสนุนการบูรณาการเทคโนโลยีและสื่อดิจิทัลในการวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลให้นักศึกษาใช้เทคโนโลยีในการค้นคว้า วิเคราะห์และนำเสนอข้อมูลโดยเปิดโอกาสให้ได้เรียนรู้ผ่านสถานการณ์จริงพร้อมโครงการนำร่องเพื่อเป็นแนวทางให้ครูและผู้บริหารสามารถนำมาปรับใช้ต่อยอดในบริบทของตนเองได้อย่างมีประสิทธิภาพ

การวิจัยนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อ 1) ศึกษาปัญหาและความต้องการในการเรียนรู้ด้วยการชี้นำตนเองเพื่อเสริมสร้างทักษะการวิจัยบนพื้นฐานหลักฐานเชิงประจักษ์ทางการแพทย์ 2) พัฒนาโปรแกรมการเรียนรู้ด้วยการชี้นำตนเองเพื่อเสริมสร้างทักษะการวิจัยบนพื้นฐานหลักฐานเชิงประจักษ์ทางการแพทย์ 3) นำเสนอปัจจัยแห่งความสำเร็จและปัจจัยที่เป็นอุปสรรคต่อการใช้โปรแกรมการเรียนรู้ด้วยการชี้นำตนเองเพื่อเสริมสร้างทักษะการวิจัยบนพื้นฐานหลักฐานเชิงประจักษ์ทางการแพทย์ที่พัฒนาขึ้น ระเบียบวิธีวิจัยแบบผสมผสานวิธี ทั้งการวิจัยเชิงปริมาณและเชิงคุณภาพ โดยใช้การทดลองแบบกลุ่มทดลองเดียว มีการวัดผลก่อนและหลังการทดลอง ซึ่งครอบคลุมการวิจัย 3 ระยะ ดังนี้ ระยะที่ 1 ศึกษาปัญหาและความต้องการ เก็บรวบรวมข้อมูลด้วยการสนทนากลุ่มกับผู้เข้าร่วม 7 คน ประกอบไปด้วย ผู้บริหาร อาจารย์แพทย์ แพทย์ประจำบ้าน เพื่อระบุประเด็นที่เกี่ยวข้องกับการพัฒนาทักษะการวิจัย ระยะที่ 2 พัฒนาและทดลองโปรแกรม โดยโปรแกรมพัฒนาขึ้นด้วยบูรณาการร่วมกัน 3 แนวคิด ประกอบไปด้วย แนวคิดการศึกษานอกระบบโรงเรียนของ Boyle (1981) แบบจำลองการศึกษานอกระบบโรงเรียนของ Boyle (1981) โดยใช้แนวคิดกระบวนการเรียนรู้ด้วยนการชี้นำตนเอง 7 ขั้นตอนของ Knowles (1975;1980) และแนวคิดหลักฐานเชิงประจักษ์ทางการแแพทย์ของ Sackett (1997;2000) เป็นเนื้อหา กลุ่มทดลองประกอบด้วย อาจารย์แพทย์ และแพทย์ประจำบ้าน จำนวน 30 คน ซึ่งได้รับการคัดเลือกโดยการสุ่มตัวอย่างแบบง่าย เก็บข้อมูลโดยใช้แบบประเมินทักษะการวิจัย และแบบสอบถามความพึงพอใจ ระยะที่ 3 ศึกษาปัจจัยแห่งความสำเร็จและปัจจัยที่เป็นอุปสรรค ใช้การสัมภาษณ์เพื่อระบุปัจจัยแห่งความสำเร็จและอุปสรรคที่พบในระหว่างการใช้งานโปรแกรม ผลการวิจัยพบว่า 1. ปัญหาและความต้องการ โดยปัญหาถูกจัดประเภทเป็น 3 บริบทที่เชื่อมโยงกัน ได้แก่ 1) หลักสูตรและการเรียนการสอน 2) ผู้เรียน และกระบวนการเรียนรู้ 3) สภาพแวดล้อม และแหล่งเรียนรู้ ส่วนความต้องการประกอบด้วยแนวคิดพื้นฐานด้านการวิจัย วิธีการวิจัยที่เหมาะสม และการใช้การวิจัยบนพื้นฐานเชิงประจักษ์อย่างมีเหตุผล ขณะที่การพัฒนาทักษะวิจัยจำเป็นต้องอาศัยการประยุกต์ใช้ในทางปฏิบัติ 2. โปรแกรมการเรียนรู้ ประกอบด้วย 1) วัตถุประสงค์ 2) ผู้เรียน 3) ผู้สอน 4) เนื้อหาสาระ 5) กิจกรรมการเรียนรู้ 6)แหล่งเรียนรู้ด้วยตนเอง 7) การติดตามและการประเมินผลการเรียนรู้ ผลการใช้โปรแกรมพบว่า ด้านผลลัพธ์การเรียนรู้ของกลุ่มทดลอง คะแนนความรู้การวิจัยหลังการทดลองสูงกว่าก่อนการทดลอง โดยพบความแตกต่างของค่าเฉลี่ยของคะแนนความรู้การวิจัยมีนัยอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ …

The purpose of this qualitative narrative study is to explore the experiences of spouses, specifically female spouses, of retired U. S. military veterans who pursued the completion of postsecondary degrees following the retirement of the military service member. The study employs narrative inquiry, guided by the Biographic Narrative Interview Method approach to interviewing. The generated data is analyzed utilizing thematic and narrative analysis methods, and a framework of two researchers’ sensitizing concepts is applied to understand and create meaning from the participants’ narratives. This article investigates the motivations behind the rising enrollment of nontraditional students at Portland State University’s Honors College, which nearly doubled from 2019 to 2022 following the COVID-19 pandemic. Aleph argues that nontraditional students viewed education as a means of reclaiming agency and reshaping their futures. Through interviews and a focus group with four nontraditional students, Aleph explores how the pandemic created disruption and opportunities. The study finds that while economic instability and isolation were factors, intrinsic motivations—especially a desire for self-improvement, intellectual challenge, and rewriting personal narratives—were more prominent factors shaping enrollment decisions. Yellow Brick Road is an initiative designed to strengthen the connection between Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) and downtown Richmond by promoting outdoor activity, sustainable mobility, and shared community experiences. The project aims to enhance the health and well-being of students, faculty, and staff through walking meetings and a proposed VCU-branded e-bike fleet, while also deepening VCU’s engagement with the urban community through events such as the UNCOMMON Street Festival.
