Predicting Black Male Undergraduate Degree Completion At A Pwi Examining Single Indicators Of Religiosity, Anxiety, And Depression., Nickolas Spears Jr.

Religiosity is a well-known protective factor for mental health as a coping and resilience source, which positively affects Black male college students' academic success. However, less is known about whether religiosity predicts degree completion and buffers Black males' mental health from a quantitative research approach. Black males have one of the lowest degree completion rates at four-year institutions. Students who experience poor mental health outcomes have lower degree completion. This study utilized logistic regression to investigate whether religiosity: (1) predicted degree completion among Black male undergraduate students and (2) moderated anxiety and depression. This study introduces a taxonomy for organizing GA pilot weather education and training materials that was originally conceived as part of the FAA’s Weather Technology In the Cockpit research program. Despite three decades of literature that has explored the gender imbalance of public relations at a professional level, there is a dearth of information addressing if or how these experiences are informed at a collegiate level. Accordingly, this study examines if the gender imbalance impacts students in the upper-level public relations classroom, and the similarities and differences exist between other single-gender dominant programs including nursing and Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) using three dimensions (i.e., role strain, teamwork, and overall social environment) as a comparison. การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อ (1) ศึกษาคุณลักษณะการเป็นผู้เรียนรู้ตลอดชีวิตสำหรับผู้ประกอบอาชีพศิลปะการแต่งหน้าเชิงสร้างสรรค์ (2). พัฒนาโปรแกรมการศึกษานอกระบบโรงเรียนเพื่อเสริมสร้างคุณลักษณะการเป็นผู้เรียนรู้ตลอดชีวิตสำหรับผู้ประกอบอาชีพศิลปะการแต่งหน้าเชิงสร้างสรรค์ (3). พัฒนาคู่มือการจัดโปรแกรมการศึกษานอกระบบโรงเรียนเพื่อเสริมสร้างคุณลักษณะการเป็นผู้เรียนรู้ตลอดชีวิตสำหรับผู้ประกอบอาชีพศิลปะการแต่งหน้าเชิงสร้างสรรค์ โดยแบ่งขั้นตอนการดำเนินงานวิจัยออกเป็น 3 ระยะ ดังนี้ ระยะที่ 1 เพื่อศึกษาคุณลักษณะการเป็นผู้เรียนรู้ตลอดชีวิตของผู้ประกอบอาชีพศิลปะการแต่งหน้าเชิงสร้างสรรค์ กลุ่มเป้าหมาย จำนวน 20 คน ระยะที่ 2 การพัฒนาโปรแกรมการศึกษานอกระบบโรงเรียนเพื่อเสริมสร้างคุณลักษณะการเป็นผู้เรียนรู้ตลอดชีวิตสำหรับผู้ประกอบอาชีพศิลปะการแต่งหน้าเชิงสร้างสรรค์ โดยดำเนินการตามขั้นตอนการจัดโปรแกรมการศึกษานอกระบบโรงเรียน ตามแนวคิดของ Houle (1972) 7 ขั้นตอน ดังนี้ 1) ขั้นการวิเคราะห์ความต้องการในการเรียนรู้และกำหนดกิจกรรมการเรียนรู้ที่เป็นไปได้ 2) ขั้นการตัดสินใจดำเนินกิจกรรมการเรียนรู้ 3) ขั้นการกำหนดวัตถุประสงค์ 4) ขั้นการออกแบบรูปแบบกิจกรรมที่เหมาะสมใช้แนวคิดทฤษฎีการเรียนรู้จากประสบการณ์ ของ Kolb (1984) 5 ขั้นการวางแผนกิจกรรมให้สอดคล้องกับการดำเนินชีวิตของผู้เรียน 6) ขั้นการนำแผนงานไปสู่การปฏิบัติ 7) ขั้นการวัดและประเมินผล การศึกษาปัจจัยและเงื่อนไขที่เกี่ยวข้องในการนำโปรแกรม กลุ่มเป้าหมาย จำนวน 10 คน ระยะที่ 3 การพัฒนาคู่มือการจัดโปรแกรมการศึกษานอกระบบโรงเรียนเพื่อเสริมสร้างคุณลักษณะการเป็นผู้เรียนรู้ตลอดชีวิตสำหรับผู้ประกอบอาชีพศิลปะการแต่งหน้าเชิงสร้างสรรค์โดยการร่างคู่มือจากผลการพัฒนาโปรแกรม มีการตรวจสอบคู่มือโดยผู้เชี่ยวชาญและผู้ทรงคุณวุฒิ จำนวน 20 คน และการจัดทำคู่มือฉบับสมบูรณ์ ผลการวิจัยสรุปได้ว่า (1) คุณลักษณะการเป็นผู้เรียนรู้ตลอดชีวิตสำหรับผู้ประกอบอาชีพศิลปะการแต่งหน้าเชิงสร้างสรรค์บ่งออกเป็น 3 มิติ ประกอบด้วย 1) มิติเจตคติ 20 รายการ 2) มิติทักษะ 5 รายการ และ 3) มิติความรอบรู้ 3 รายการ (2) ผลการจัดกิจกรรมการเรียนรู้ตามโปรแกรมพบว่ากลุ่มทดลองมีคุณลักษณะการเป็นผู้เรียนรู้ตลอดชีวิตสำหรับผู้ประกอบอาชีพศิลปะการแต่งหน้าเชิงสร้างสรรค์เพิ่มขึ้นอยู่ในระดับสูง (3) ผลการพัฒนามือคู่มือโปรแกรมการศึกษานอกระบบโรงเรียนเพื่อเสริมสร้างคุณลักษณะการเป็นผู้เรียนรู้ตลอดชีวิตสำหรับผู้ประกอบอาชีพศิลปะการแต่งหน้าเชิงสร้างสรรค์ ได้คู่มือที่มีขนาดรูปเล่มที่เหมาะสม ตัวอักษรอ่านง่ายชัดเจน กิจกรรมแต่ละขั้นตอนมีความชัดเจน เข้าใจง่ายเนื้อหาความรู้มีความเหมาะสมตรงกับความต้องการ

It is crucial for the Black Lives Matter movement that more Black men pursue and earn doctoral degrees. American society must be made aware of intellectual contributions that underpin the fact that Black men are intelligent, eloquent in speech, and able to research and present any given topic. Black men are often underrepresented in terminal degree programs, and those who do advance to advanced study fall short due to doctoral attrition. A group of Nepali diaspora members, represented by the Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA), started a campaign in 2009 to establish the Open University of Nepal (OUN) in partnership with the government of Nepal. Their motivation was to develop a quality university for the masses by mobilizing local, diaspora, and international collaborators for producing and disseminating knowledge in the public domain. Purpose: Continuing education for the practicing clinician typically involves reading peer-reviewed journals and attending professional conferences. These mechanisms do not allow for practice and real-time evaluation of healthcare skills. Simulation-based learning has been widely used in professional education yet is not common in the continued development of the clinician in their lifespan. Method: We used a cross-sectional, repeated measures pilot study. The participants included 11 athletic trainers (age=40±14 years; certified experience=17±14 years) that engaged in a multi-modal continuing professional development session that included a lecture, large-scale simulated learning experience, and debriefing session at a healthcare conference. This study investigated the impact of CodeVA’s elementary coach’s academy (ECA) on computer science implementation in elementary schools across the state of Virginia. The research took a multimethod qualitative and quantitative approach through surveys, focus groups, interviews and observations of ECA coaches and participants, along with the analysis of historical data provided by CodeVA. The signature pedagogy in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) higher education programs has been criticized for its instructor-centric lecture format and emphasis on the lower tiers of Bloom’s taxonomy (simply memorizing knowledge) at the expense of helping students develop the clinical problem-solving skills required for a lifetime of practice and learning. The purpose of this study was to examine the responses of a cohort of graduate speech-language pathology students to an active learning-oriented swallowing and dysphagia course design. This inquiry employed a convergent mixed-methods case study through a collaborative partnership with a College of Education at a private, West Coast Jesuit university. The study’s purpose was to interrogate recruitment and admission policies and practices of a Student Affairs graduate program to determine the extent to which they did or did not align with equity- and justice-oriented principles. The Education Deans for Justice and Equity framework, Critical Race Theory, and Social Reproduction Theory served as the conceptual and theoretical frameworks for this study.
