Earning college credit in high school has become a rising trend, while correlation of matriculation to credit hour accumulation, underrepresented minority population, and high school data is limited. State policies are redefining outdated rules and processes in order to provide access, affordability, and awareness to students throughout the United States. West Kentucky Community and Technical College, in partnership with area high schools, enroll students in dual credit courses, which assists with increasing college credential completion and the reduction of total college costs. Guns remain a major cause of injury and death among children. We determined pediatric residents’ familiarity with gun safety campaigns and their gun safety counseling practices. We determined pediatric residents’ comfort with the Asking Saves Kids (ASK) campaign, which recommends that parents ask about gun safety and storage where their children play. Methods: Cross-sectional 27-item electronic survey was distributed to three pediatric residency programs in Baltimore, Maryland, USA. Residents were asked to respond to statements using a seven-point Likert scale on familiarity with three gun safety campaigns and their attitudes toward gun safety counseling. ดนตรีพื้นบ้านมีองค์ประกอบเฉพาะตัวที่สามารถสะท้อนตัวตนทางวัฒนธรรมของสังคม การศึกษาดนตรีพื้นบ้านส่งเสริมให้ผู้เรียนเข้าใจสังคม เคารพและเห็นคุณค่าในวัฒนธรรมของตนเองและผู้อื่น การศึกษาครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาลักษณะทั่วไป และวิเคราะห์สาระดนตรีพื้นบ้านในมาตรฐานผู้เรียน มาตรฐานผู้สอน มาตรฐานหลักสูตร และ หลักสูตรดนตรีศึกษาของประเทศไทย สหรัฐอเมริกา อังกฤษ และออสเตรเลีย การศึกษาครั้งนี้ใช้ระเบียบวิธีวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพโดยใช้วิธีการวิจัยเอกสารประกอบการสัมภาษณ์ ผลการศึกษา พบว่า การเรียนรู้สาระดนตรีพื้นบ้านปรากฏใน 2 รูปแบบ ประกอบด้วย 1) การเรียนรู้สาระดนตรีพื้นบ้านเชิงเนื้อหาซึ่งให้ความสำคัญกับสาระความรู้และทักษะดนตรีพื้นบ้าน และ 2) การเรียนรู้สาระดนตรีพื้นบ้านเชิงแนวคิดซึ่งให้ความสำคัญการเชื่อมโยงความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างดนตรีกับสังคมโดยอาศัยสาระความรู้และทักษะในดนตรีพื้นบ้านหลากหลายประเภทภายใต้กรอบแนวคิดพหุวัฒนธรรม ในแต่ละประเทศให้ความสำคัญกับสาระดนตรีพื้นบ้านในมาตรฐานผู้เรียน มาตรฐานผู้สอน มาตรฐานหลักสูตร และหลักสูตรดนตรีศึกษาในรูปแบบที่แตกต่างกันตามบริบททางสังคม ประวัติศาสตร์ วัฒนธรรม และนโยบายทางการศึกษาของชาติ ผลการศึกษาสามารถนำไปปรับใช้เป็นแนวทางในการพัฒนาหลักสูตรดนตรีศึกษาของไทย โดยคำนึงถึงบริบทของหลักสูตรและความต้องการของสังคม

While simulators can be used in place of hands-on hardware, there was not a significant body of quantitative research supporting the use of simulators for college and career success at the secondary level in information technology (IT). The purpose of this quantitative, nonexperimental study was to determine if there was a significant difference in college and career readiness of New York state high school students in approved IT content cluster high school programs, between those who use simulations and those who use hands-on hardware. Successful formation of a self-chosen, purposeful identity in personal, social, educational and vocational areas is a primary task for emerging adults, with failure to do so often resulting in cycles of substance use, unemployment, and delinquent/criminal behavior. The purpose of this quantitative study was to examine relationships between vocational identity, substance use, and criminal thinking within the population of emerging adults. The expectancy value theory of motivation, which states that identity may be a motivational construct between self-efficacy and subjective self-values, provided the foundation for the study. Although nonprofit organization (NPO) leaders play crucial roles in society, financial distress and vulnerability are common for many NPO leaders, with some NPOs closing as a result of these conditions. The purpose of this single-case study was to explore the diversification strategies used by 10 leaders and senior staff of an NPO in the mid-Atlantic region of the United States through the conceptual lens of Markowitz's modern portfolio theory. Data were collected through in-depth semistructured interviews and analysis of organizational documents, internal archival data, social media, literature, and online databases. African American males often struggle to read on grade level. However, 3 East Texas Title I schools demonstrated exceptionally high levels of reading proficiency with this population. This study addressed the knowledge gap of understanding the instructional practices linked to high reading achievement of third grade African American males in Title I schools in East Texas. Guided by Ladson-Billings's theory of culturally relevant pedagogy, which builds upon academic success, cultural competence, and development of critical consciousness, and supported by Vygotsky's theory of social and cognitive constructivism, the reading instructional practices of the 3 schools were investigated. In the fields of business and healthcare, researchers have found that organizations are more successful at serving their clients when they collaboratively share knowledge, resources, and time using a multidisciplinary approach. There is less empirical evidence supporting these interorganizational collaborations (IOCs) in education. In 2013, the Cold Spring School District (CSSD) established an initiative to improve student and community outcomes. To do this, the district created an IOC to guide their work. Choosing a college major is one of the most important decisions a student makes during the course of his or her academic career. While local and national trends suggest that it has become popular for high school students to declare a major prior to entering college, it is unlikely that 17- and 18-year-old students are adequately prepared to make decisions that affect not only their college experience, but also their long term vocations.
