• Nrf2 plays an important role in redox haemostasis of skeletal muscle in response to the increased generation of reactive oxygen species during contraction.
• Employing skeletal muscle-specific transgenic mouse models with unbiased-omic approaches, we uncovered new target proteins, downstream pathways and molecular networks of Nrf2 in skeletal muscle following Nrf2 or Keap1 deletion.

Movement integration (MI) products are designed to provide children with physical activity during general education classroom time. The purpose of this study was to examine elementary classroom teachers’ self-reported use of MI products and subsequent perceptions of the facilitators of and barriers to MI product use. This study utilized a mixed-methods design. Elementary classroom teachers (n = 40) at four schools each tested four of six common MI products in their classroom for one week. The study aimed to use an alternative method of assessing client outcomes, and service performance by using the outcome measure—Clinical Outcomes in Routine Evaluation (CORE-OM). Presently, the counselling psychology unit assesses the clients' outcomes by subjective observations and clients' self-reports. As for service performance, the counselling psychology units are assessed internally by each hospital's management system. In advanced countries, these methods have been replaced or augmented by standardised routine outcome measures. We compared the effects of low intensity concentric (CON) and eccentric (ECC) exercise on the force and neural responses of the dominant (exercised) elbow flexors (EFs), and studied if these conditions could induce cross-over effects to the contralateral (non-exercised) EFs. Fifteen subjects (8 males) completed all conditions (CON and ECC: 6 sets of low intensity exercise to failure; control: rest) in separate visits with a randomized order. Maximal isometric force and electromyography (EMG) of the dominant and contralateral EFs were assessed at pre, immediate-, 24-, and 48-h-post. Sensory systems are widely known to exhibit adaptive mechanisms. Vision is no exception to input dependent changes in its sensitivity. Recent animal work demonstrates enhanced connectivity between neurons in the visual cortex. The purpose of the present experiment was to evaluate a human model that noninvasively alters the amplitude of the N1b component in the visual cortex of humans by means of rapid visual stimulation. Nineteen participants (Mage = 24 years; 52.6% male) completed a rapid visual stimulation paradigm involving black and white reversal checkerboards presented bilaterally in the visual field. The accuracy of maximal oxygen uptake (VO2max) prediction methods is important for collegiate runners and is an economical alternative to traditional laboratory testing. This investigation examined VO2max estimation accuracy of Polar M430 lights on (PM430 ON), Polar M430 lights off (PM430 OFF), Garmin 235 (G235), and VDOT in 12 NCAA division I cross-country athletes. Data was compared to laboratory-measured VO2max. Compared to the criterion (56.51 ± 6.00 ml.kg-1.min-1), the G235 (59.43 ± 4.54 ml.kg-1.min-1), PM430 ON and PM430 OFF (63.80 ± 5.32 ml.kg-1.min-1 and 62.92 ± 5.28 ml.kg-1.min-1) overestimated VO2max. Sexual harassment has persisted for decades but has recently gained attention, especially after the “Me Too” movement. Sexual harassment can happen to anyone, regardless of gender, age, race, or other characteristics. It can also occur anywhere, such as the workplace or in sport. This descriptive study looks at a sample of professional cheerleaders and dancers to determine their experience with sexual harassment. Through an open-ended questionnaire, they were given the opportunity to have their voices heard. Peripheral artery disease (PAD) is a manifestation of atherosclerosis in the leg arteries, which causes claudication. This may be in part due to vascular mitochondrial dysfunction and excessive reactive oxygen species (ROS) production. A mitochondrial-targeted antioxidant (MitoQ) has been shown to improve vascular mitochondrial function that, in turn, led to improved vascular function in older adults and animal models. Health education projects (HEP) incorporate all the educational projects of the Portuguese elementary and secondary schools in order to respond to four key areas: mental health and violence prevention; food education and physical activity; addictive behaviors and dependencies; and affection and sexuality education. This study aimed at identifying the effects of HEP as they are perceived by teachers and students. A multicase study was developed in five schools in the municipality of Castelo Branco, Portugal.
