As the development of complex coordination and control (i.e., motor development) involves the integration of neuromotor, psychological, social, and cognitive processes (i.e., executive functions), a better understanding of how these processes are embedded and manifest across stages of development throughout the lifespan is needed. The long-term processes associated with the acquisition and development of motor competence (MC), specifically, effortful practice and performance of various locomotor and object control skills, provide direct mechanisms for contributing to executive function (EF) development via different learning-related (e.g., synaptogenesis, hippocampal neurogenesis) as well as exercise-related (e.g., exercise-mediated neurogenesis, angiogenesis) mechanisms. Introduction: This study characterized yoga as a form of free-time physical activity by analyzing and evaluating the body composition of women who regularly practice yoga, and by describing the effect of yoga on their psychophysical health. Material and Methods: The study involved 94 women: 56 yoga practitioners and 38 Zumba participants. The subjects were surveyed with a questionnaire to elicit information about their socioeconomic status. Body composition was determined by bioelectrical impedance analysis. Political and Social issues have encompassed the athletic nature of sport. Athlete activism has been increasingly more common. Specifically, Colin Kaepernick and Megan Rapinoe have been two prominent activists to advocate for inequalities. 379 respondents, collected from Mount Vernon High School and Amazon Mechanical Turk (MTurk) participated in a study using questionnaires adopted from Sappington (2019) and Torres-Harding (2011). The purpose of this study was to examine the associations between meeting recommendations for 24-hour movement behaviors, parental academic support, and student academic achievement in a sample of Alaskan adolescents. Data were obtained from the 2019 Alaska Youth Risk Behavior Survey (YRBS; N = 1,897; mean age = 15.8 ± 1.3 years old). The associations between meeting recommendations for the 24-hour movement behaviors of physical activity, screen use, and sleep with high academic achievement (mostly A’s and B’s) were examined using weighted multivariable logistic regressions. The purpose of the current study was to examine (a) the use of technology to monitor physical activity (PA) between PE students and non-PE students, (b) the motivation to be physically active between PE students and non-PE students, (c) and the PA levels between PE students and non-PE students. Methods: A survey that asked demographic, technology use, PA level, and PA motivation questions was distributed to undergraduate students. The health belief model is often applied to asymptomatic, prevention-related diseases such as osteoporosis. Introduction: Minority tax is defined as the burden of time and resources placed on minority persons to represent and advocate for their communities. We determined whether medical students underrepresented in medicine (URM) or from historically excluded (HE) populations experience a minority tax and characterized its effects.

Methods: This cross-sectional survey of US medical students occurred November 2020 - June 2021. We used Mann-Whitney U tests to compare metrics between URM and HE participants and their peers.
