The purpose of this article is to identify the strategies of high school principals in interpreting the skill domains that high school students must possess in the Industrial Revolution 4.0 era. This research uses a qualitative approach with a multi- case study design in one of the public and private high schools in Malang. The results show that the principal's strategy depends on the characteristics of the school. In private schools, the strategy begins with building a school management system; analyzing the relevance of the vision; adjust school programs in line with the vision; and increase collaboration with external parties. …

This research develops teaching materials for writing fantasy short story texts by utilizing Situbondo folklore as a background for writing while developing critical and creative responses to local culture. The research model used in developing this teaching material is ADDIE, developed by Branch in five stages of development. The validity of this teaching material was assessed by expert validators in the field of developing teaching materials, learning to write critical fantasy short stories, and Situbondo folklore, as well as Indonesian language teacher practitioner validators. The Ohio Internship Program in School Psychology was forced to adapt abruptly to the changing circumstances brought on by the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic beginning in March 2020. The purpose of this study was to determine the extent to which the school psychology internship outcomes were negatively affected by the COVID-19 pandemic in terms of supervisors' ratings of intern competencies, the number of students served by interns, and the outcomes of academic and behavior interventions supported by interns. Playtime in schools has been shown to have wide-ranging benefits to children and young people. However, opportunities for playtime in schools have declined over time. It is important children’s voices are heard on matters that are important to them, yet playtime is often driven by adult policy. The aim of this systematic literature review (SLR) was to explore children’s views on playtime to further our understanding of what is important to them, and what affects their access to playtime.

Internalized homonegativity (IH) is widely recognized to negatively influence the health of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and queer/questioning (LGBQ +) individuals. It is not clear, however, the role that religiousness may play in the relationship between IH and health or how differing conceptualizations of IH or health may influence this relationship. We conducted a multi-level meta-analysis of 151 effect sizes from 68 studies to examine the relationship between IH and health as well as what may moderate this relationship. Results suggested that IH was consistently and negatively related to health (r = − .28). Analyses suggest that IH was most …

This text presents an argument that competition, as a pedagogical design element, facilitates students’ learning motivation in digital game-based learning environments (DGBLEs). Since competition has long been regarded as an adverse pedagogical element for fostering students’ learning motivation, a considerable proportion of educators and researchers in the U.S. have a variety of concerns about implementing competition in educational practices. However, the function of competition in DGBLEs could be fundamentally different. Research has emphasised the importance of emotional intelligence (EI) in the work of higher education staff. However, little is about the motivations and expectations of lecturers who decide to participate in EI coaching programmes. As part of a larger study pertaining to the efficacy of EI coaching for Irish higher education lecturers, qualitative data was collected by way of a questionnaire that contained two open-ended questions from all participants who signed up for coaching (N = 40). The findings indicate that the primary motivations for participants to sign-up for coaching were personal development and a desire to support research activities. …

We developed a short tool to assess perceived academic stress and a tool to assess depression anxiety and stress among grade 11 and 12 students during 2019-2021. The tools are validated through experts and tested for reliability through cross-sectional surveys conducted in the three districts of Costal Karnataka. Large scale data collected from academic stress scale is already published. For further validation of the tools, we collected data from existing tools such as Depression, Anxiety and Stress Scale (DASS 21), Perceived Stress Scale (PSS) (10 items) and a Self Esteem Scale (Rosenberg Self Self-Esteem Scale, 10 items).

Media Multitasking, Online Learning, And Social Media Activities Among Adolescents, Suriati Gani

The increasing prevalence of the overuse of social media among adolescents has raised concerns. Educators worry that it may decrease the cognitive functioning of these adolescents. This study of 245 secondary-school students in Palu, Indonesia, reveals that there is a correlation between these students’ diminished perceived attention and the intensity of their internet and social media use. Due to their eagerness to multitask, students who check their social media notifications while doing their online learning experience perceived attention discontinuity. This study suggests the significance of prevention and intervention for adolescents’ media-related problems as they multitask in their online learning environments.

The goal of this study was to identify the factors that affect geography students' abilities to use digital tsunami-based maps for disaster mitigation. Multiple linear regression analysis is used in this work. The findings demonstrated that students' learning outcomes in the disaster mitigation sub-materials were significantly impacted by the usage of digital maps in geography instruction. The skills of lecturers, student responses to utilizing tsunami-based digital maps as learning resources, and classroom learning activities between lecturers and students all have an impact on how well students can utilize tsunami-based digital maps.
