Research consistently reflects novice teachers’ feelings of inadequacy in effectively responding to students’ disruptive classroom behaviors. Some teachers may quickly default to disciplinary write-ups or make behavior-related referrals to special education. The purpose of this phenomenological study was to examine the perspectives of first-year elementary general education teachers about their competency and their tolerance for managing problem behaviors; to identify supports that will strengthen their ability to acquire and use effective behavior management skills, and thus reduce referrals. AbstractParent involvement in children’s school experience has been shown to be important to academic success. Although African American parents approach their parenting in culturally unique ways, these have not been adequately explored or described. Using self-determination theory, the academic motivation of college students from deployed military families was examined. Implementing a case study methodology, interviews with 14 college students were transcribed and coded using a theory-driven rubric to identify their needs for autonomy, competence, and relatedness. Each case was analyzed for one’s self-determination regulatory style (external, introjected, integrated, or identified). The need for relatedness was the most prevalent in the data and the majority of cases exhibited regulatory styles consistent with introjected motivation.

Despite this increase, systemic barriers continue to prevent youth from receiving appropriate treatment following psychiatric hospitalization. การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อ 1. วิเคราะห์ประสบการณ์การใช้ชีวิตและการทำงาน และประสบการณ์การฝึกอบรมที่ส่งผลต่อความสามารถในการฟื้นพลังของบุคลากรสายสนับสนุนทางการศึกษาที่อยู่ในกลุ่มเจเนอเรชั่น วาย 2. วิเคราะห์ผลของการใช้โปรแกรมต้นแบบการฝึกอบรมเพื่อส่งเสริมความสามารถในการฟื้นพลังของบุคลากรสายสนับสนุนทางการศึกษาที่อยู่ในกลุ่มเจเนอเรชั่น วาย ที่ออกแบบขึ้น 3. วิเคราะห์ความคิดเห็นของบุคลากรสายสนับสนุนทางการศึกษาที่อยู่ในกลุ่มเจเนอเรชั่น วาย หลังจากที่ได้ใช้โปรแกรมต้นแบบการฝึกอบรมฯ และ 4. นำเสนอโปรแกรมต้นแบบการฝึกอบรมฯ การวิจัยนี้ประยุกต์แนวคิดเชิงออกแบบ (Design thinking) ในการดำเนินการวิจัย แบ่งออกเป็น 2 ระยะ ได้แก่ ระยะที่ 1 การพัฒนาต้นแบบและระยะที่ 2 การทดสอบและวิเคราะห์ผลการใช้โปรแกรมต้นแบบการฝึกอบรมฯ ระยะที่ 1 การพัฒนาต้นแบบดำเนินการเป็น 2 ขั้นตอน ได้แก่ ขั้นตอนที่ 1 ขั้นทำความเข้าใจ (Empathize) และขั้นนิยามปัญหา (Define) ด้วยการสัมภาษณ์เชิงลึกเกี่ยวกับประสบการณ์ที่ยากลำบากในชีวิตและการทำงาน และประสบการณ์ในการฝึกอบรมจากตัวอย่างวิจัยจำนวน 11 คน เพื่อนำข้อมูลมาสู่ขั้นตอนที่ 2 ขั้นระดมความคิด (Ideate) และขั้นสร้างต้นแบบ (Prototype) โดยการระดมความคิดจากผู้เชี่ยวชาญ 5 ท่าน จากนั้นนำข้อมูลที่ได้จากการการสังเคราะห์ทฤษฎี ข้อมูลประสบการณ์ และข้อมูลจากการระดมความคิด มาใช้ในการออกแบบโปรแกรมต้นแบบการฝึกอบรมฯ ผลการวิจัยพบว่าตัวอย่างวิจัยมักเกิดความคิดและความรู้สึกในเชิงลบ และแสดงพฤติกรรมที่ต่อสู้ หลีกเลี่ยงหรือหยุดนิ่งเมื่อเผชิญกับเหตุการณ์ที่ยากลำบาก โดยใช้เทคนิคการมีสติและการผ่อนคลายความเครียดเป็นส่วนใหญ่ นำมาสู่โปรแกรมต้นแบบการฝึกอบรมฯ รูปแบบออนไลน์ ประกอบด้วย 4 หัวข้อกิจกรรม คือ การตระหนักรู้และการยอมรับ การนิยามคุณค่าและการคิดเชิงบวก การสื่อสารเชิงบวกอย่างสร้างสรรค์ และการตั้งเป้าหมายและการค้นหาสิ่งสนับสนุน จัดกิจกรรมครั้งละ 90 นาที โดยใช้แนวคิดการมีสติเป็นแนวคิดหลัก ระยะที่ 2 การทดสอบและวิเคราะห์ผลการใช้โปรแกรมต้นแบบการฝึกอบรมฯ มีกลุ่มตัวอย่างวิจัยจำนวน 14 คน เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการทดลอง คือ 1) โปรแกรมต้นแบบการฝึกอบรมฯ ที่พัฒนาขึ้นจากขั้นตอนในระยะที่ 1 2) แบบประเมินความสามารถในการฟื้นพลังสำหรับผู้ใหญ่ 3) แบบประเมินความพึงพอใจและประโยชน์ที่ได้จากการใช้โปรแกรมต้นแบบการฝึกอบรมฯ และ 4) แบบสัมภาษณ์กึ่งโครงสร้างหลังจากการใช้โปรแกรมต้นแบบการฝึกอบรมฯ ผลการวิจัยพบว่าคะแนนความสามารถในการฟื้นพลังก่อนและหลังการเข้าร่วมโปรแกรมต้นแบบการฝึกอบรมฯ แตกต่างกันอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .05 และตัวอย่างวิจัยมีความพึงพอใจในโปรแกรมต้นแบบการฝึกอบรมฯ ในระดับมากที่สุดทุกด้าน …

This study took person-centered statistical approaches to explore the multidimensional construct of adolescents' future aspirations and its associations with three covariates (i.e., gender, race, and SES) and a binary, distal outcome measure, postsecondary enrollment. Fourteen survey items representing the multidimensionality of adolescents' future aspirations were extracted from two-waves of Educational Longitudinal Study:2002 student data. The multidimensionality or the latent construct of the adolescents' future aspirations were explored using two finite mixture models called latent class analysis (LCA) and latent transition analysis (LTA). Emotion regulation is a concept that has existed within the literature for decades, but the presence of emotion regulation programs in schools is a relatively new concept in research (Durlak et al., 2011). Research suggests that emotional regulation skills are related to improved peer relationships and academic success (Denham & Brown, 2010; Durlak et al., 2011). Tujuan penelitian tersebut adalah untuk mengungkap secara komprehensif karakteristik psiko-logis atlet atletik PPLP Papua. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kuantitatif dengan subjek penelitian seluruh atlet atletik yang tergabung dalam PPLP Provinsi Papua berjumlah 20 (12 laki-laki dan 8 perempuan). Atlet junior tersebut berada pada tingkat sekolah SMP dan SMA (17 SMA dan 3 SMP) dengan rentang usia 13-18 tahun ( = 16,6; s = 1,27).
