The project was designed to investigate issues and ideas of developing a play adapted from a children's book to bring "history to life" for a modern family. The research model was designed to be a tool for the evaluation of the material presented. It was constructed to allow student practitioners to participate in the exploration and discovery of the creative process and improve their understanding of implementing theatre practices to teach required subjects.

This study explores the classroom teacher's role in a collaboration between a New York City classroom teacher and Lincoln Center Institute. Aesthetic education, imaginative learning, and collaboration between classroom teachers and teaching artists, the core practices of Lincoln Center Institute's inquiry units, are defined through a review of other established approaches to these concepts. The perspective of a third-grade teacher who participated in an inquiry unit focused on MytholoJazz, a storytelling performance illustrates the purpose, planning, and action that characterize Lincoln Center Institute's programs. This study showed that emerging trends showing zero tolerance policies having negative effects on school children, especially those of poor and/or minority background, make an elementary district's recently implemented zero tolerance style for fifth and sixth graders an interesting area of study. The purpose of this study was to measure the effect of brain-compatible teaching strategies on continuation high school students. This was accomplished by comparing short-term academic achievement of one group of students, who received content utilizing brain-based instructional strategies, to a comparable group of students who received similar content trough traditional delivery methods.

Although the development of cyber high schools over the last 10 years has increased, no data are reported in the literature regarding the factors that have contributed to the increased enrollment or student perceptions of success. The purpose of this grounded theory study was to develop a theory describing why students currently enrolled in an online high school program chose an asynchronous setting and their subsequent perceptions of success. Classroom response systems (“clickers”) can turn multiple-choice questions—often seen to be as limited as assessment tools—into effective tools for engaging students during class. When using this technology, an instructor first poses a multiple-choice question. Each student responds using a handheld transmitter (or “clicker”). Software on the classroom computer displays the distribution of student responses. Although many multiple-choice questions found on exams work well as clicker questions, there are several kinds of multiple-choice questions less appropriate for exams that function very well to promote learning, particularly deep learning, during class when used with clickers.

Andragogy was first authored by Alexander Kapp (1833), a German high school teacher. He asserted andragogy as education in the man's age including self reflection, and educating the character as primary values in human life. The most cogently knowledgeable and articulate of all scholars that have researched and practiced in andragogy in Savicevic (2006a).
