This study is about mindfulness and its impact on the development of children in early adolescence. The three developmental categories this thesis will be addressing are cognitive, social-emotional, and physical development. These developmental domains will be supported by the following mindful-based practices; mindful movement in the form of Qigong, meditation, and mindful communication. Mindfulness is an important practice to incorporate into the lives of children because it can be used in various forms and fashions as a tool towards developmentally targeting and supporting the whole child in early adolescence. The study aimed to use an alternative method of assessing client outcomes, and service performance by using the outcome measure—Clinical Outcomes in Routine Evaluation (CORE-OM). Presently, the counselling psychology unit assesses the clients' outcomes by subjective observations and clients' self-reports. As for service performance, the counselling psychology units are assessed internally by each hospital's management system. In advanced countries, these methods have been replaced or augmented by standardised routine outcome measures. Tujuan kajian ini adalah menentukan hubungan antara status sosioekonomi ibu bapa dengan enam dimensi penglibatan ibu bapa seterusnya hubungan antara dimensi penglibatan ibu bapa tersebut dengan tiga jenis tingkah laku prososial kanak-kanak empat tahun. Seramai 210 ibu bapa dan anak berusia empat tahun dan 16 orang pendidik awal kanak-kanak dari 13 buah taska yang dipilih secara rawak berstrata di bandaraya Shah Alam dan Petaling Jaya telah dilibatkan dalam kajian ini. These Pre-K programs have brought much needed revenue for Catholic Schools and provide a pipeline for prospective Catholic K-12 school students. Specifically, we discuss the school choice context in New York City with attention to the Catholic school sector and how Universal Pre-K fits into it. I initiated this study due to experience in the public education system in one state in the United States. I noted a lack of understanding among educators on how to meet the educational needs of children born with a congenital heart defect (CHD) who had undergone general anesthesia related to their CHD. In Kenya, millions of children have limited access to nurturing care. With the Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic, it is anticipated that vulnerable children will bear the biggest brunt of the direct and indirect impacts of the pandemic. This review aimed to deepen understanding of the effects of COVID-19 on nurturing care from conception to four years of age, a period where the care of children is often delivered through caregivers or other informal platforms. This study examined three different instructional methods for teaching beginners to read context-dependent words. Two types of context-dependent words were taught: irregular past tense verbs and function words. The words were embedded either in scrambled contexts or in meaningful sentence contexts. Three different instructional conditions to teach the words were compared. In the Meaningful Context condition, students studied the target words embedded in meaningful sentences. In the Scrambled condition, students studied target words placed in scrambled word sequences. In the Combination condition, students studied target words in both types of contexts that were alternated across learning trials. Participants were 53 …

Teacher-Child Interaction Training (TCIT) is an adaption of the evidenced-based treatment of Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT). The TCIT intervention is used with students, typically in a preschool setting, who are exhibiting disruptive behaviors within the classroom. Teacher-Child Interaction Training improves the teacher-child relationship, while also training teachers to use effective and consistent consequence strategies. The large research base behind PCIT and the growing empirical base for TCIT provides evidence that this model would be an effective early intervention treatment for young children exhibiting disruptive behaviors in their school settings.
