The Effect Of Problem-Based Learning On The Creative Thinking And Critical Thinking Disposition Of Students In Visual Arts Education, Kani Ulger

Interdisciplinary Journal of Problem-Based Learning

The problem-based learning (PBL) approach was implemented as a treatment for higher education visual arts students over one semester to examine its effect on the creative thinking and critical thinking disposition of these students. PBL had a significant effect on creative thinking, but critical thinking disposition was affected to a lesser degree. One possible reason for this result is that in this study, open structures were used for learning activities as a nonroutine problem-solving process to develop creative thinking. Accordingly, the results of this study indicate that PBL can help students with nonroutine problem-solving processes by maintaining uncertainty and enhancing …

Epiphany is a crucial event encountered by an individual which gives him/her an insight in his/her journey of meaning making to life. This qualitative research aims at finding out epiphany of RII represented in her anthology of short stories, novelets, novels. The research has found out that RII, as a diffable figure, is mentally capable of creating extraordinary works which are: (a) useful for others, (b) inspiring, (c) affecting surrounding people to be stronger, and (d) mostly true-story based. Balinese language is divided into two dialects, namely Bali Dataran(DBD), and Bali Aga (DBA) dialect. The DBD variation happens vertically, but not in DBA. Some vocabularies in DBD that are classified into low(Tak-Alus/TA) are classified as common variants in DBA. This research aims to explore the Balinese personal pronoun variations in DBD which DBA in Sembiran(DS), and Seraya Timur(DST). The results, by applying the dialectology theory and correlation method or metode padan, showed that the personal pronouns of DS and DST varied lexically and phonologically. The study aimed to determine to what extent the teachers of Grades 1-10 use creative thinking skills from the educational supervisors view. The sample of the study consisted of 88 educational supervisors. It used a questionnaire comprising 47 skills of the creative thinking skills divided into four main dimensions, which are; fluency, flexibility, originality and sensitivity to problem.
