Phonological And Articulation Disorders Among Children With Communication Disorders In Jordan, Enas M. Oliemat

This study aimed at identifying the phonological and articulation disorders among typically developing children and children with communication disorder in Jordan in terms of the nature of the disorder in spoken Arabic phonetic according to their age-groups. The study sample consisted of 200 children (100 typically developing children and 100 children with communication disorder) who were chosen randomly from six governorates in Jordan. Data were collected using Phonological Test, Spontaneous Speech Sample, and Picture's Expressive Sample. The purpose of this study was to investigate the impact of using multimedia to teach complex math problems. It is designed based on the worked example principle with varied modality and sequencing and tested its efficacy on high school students’ achievement. In order to implement the research idea, high school students were randomly assigned to four groups that were self-taught by four different educational programs. In the wake of Ukraine’s Euromaidan revolution in 2014, Ukraine has struggled to reconcile its deep-rooted sense of tradition with increasingly westernized aims. After deposing authoritarian president, Viktor Yanokovich, the Ukrainian people now experience a cultural identity crisis paralleled only by the aftermath of the collapse of the Soviet Union. This is an urgent narrative that has received little attention from Western media and academia. This study aims at analyzing the translation of English passive sentences into Indonesian language, in terms of the meanings and equivalence which appear in the translation. The method used to analyze the data is a descriptive quantitative. The sample of this research is taken from five chapters of the novel Hunger Games: Mockingjay by Suzanne Collins. The result shows that the translation of passive sentences comes into several types of meanings: lexical meaning 37%, grammatical meaning 2%, textual meaning 5%, and contextual meaning 46%. This study aims to reveal the relation between pragmatics and grammar, especially in Balinese language, which usually has been widely separated. The data were collected through document recording on a number of manuscripts and interviews with informants spreading out over five districts/cities in Bali Province as a representation of dialectal variation. Based on the theory of semantic structure it revealed that grammatical choice was motivated by pragmatic needs to realize Balinese hegemonic politeness in awig-awig of pakraman of the villages. This research aimed at describing the application of Lesson Study to increase lecturer’s teacing performance in teaching Nahwu. The researchers used classroom action research in two cycles. The subjects of this research were the students taking Nahwu course with low competence. The result showed that the lecturer model was successful to enhance his patience which he did not recognise before to solve his teaching performance of “difficult” course, i.e. discussing the problem with his colleagues. The observer of this Lesson Study scored 95% for the success of applying Lesson Study, and 98% for the positive change of each step done.

I used my personal experiences within a BRCA positive community to understand shared experiences among artists and art educators with this genetic mutation. This study implemented a phenomenological approach to the inquiry of the career decisions of racial/ethnic minorities leading to selection of art therapy as a career. Gottfredson’s Career Theory was used to design interview questions to elicit the perspectives of ten racial/ethnic minority members about their career choice of art therapy. This study used post-intentional phenomenological qualitative coding of data to understand the decisions and contributing factors to racial/ethnic minorities selecting a career in art therapy. To address the lack of a current profile of an early-career teacher (ECT) with a propensity to use the arts – music, theatre, dance, and visual art – this study illuminates ECT attitudes and behaviors related to arts-based pedagogy.
