New words are constantly constructed as language evolves. Through morphological afixation, new words in Indonesian (bI) such as berfirman, menggembalakan, and direncanakan are classified as denominal verbs (VDn). VDn construction is the focus of this study. It aimed to describe the grammatical meanings of VDn construction in bI. Data of the study include the VDn constructions in bI. The data sources were (a) written bI in various texts and (b) the two online corpora containing bI data, www.sealang.net and www.corpora.uni-leipzig.de. Urban space has been one of the most underexplored elements analyzed in literary works. However, as urban space gradually emerges as a culturally influencing element, a casual perusal of any text that employs urban space might result in an oversimplified analysis. This study examines the urban space of After Dark (2004), authored by Japanese writer Haruki Murakami (b. 1949). Accounting for the ways urban space is interwoven with the socio-cultural context, this study establishes a spatial reading of Murakami’s After Dark through the description of the city. This study aimed to describe: 1) forms of deconstruction of craftmanship dimensions in the aesthetic representation of Yogyakarta’s contemporary art; and 2) factors leading to the strong deconstruction of craftmanship dimensions. The method employed was qualitative, using hermeneutics as the main approach. The researcher and a documentation guide were the main instruments in the research. The research data were in the form of artwork documents created by Yogyakarta artists, during the last ten-years or starting in 2010. Language evidence is consulted in dealing with cyberbullying cases. Linguistic analysis is used to reveal the nature of speech and cyberbullying expressions that have legal implications. This study aimed to find the speech patterns used by students in cyberbullying, identify the features of insults in cyberbullying speech, and identify the legal implications of cyberbullying speech on social media. 504 speech data were collected from Facebook and Twitter from January to April 2020. Learning in Visual Arts has traditionally been framed as an experiential process in which feeling and intuition complement the development of aesthetic knowledge. However, while art can be about feelings and processes that develop students’ expressive capacities, the complexity of art understanding and thinking extends beyond this narrow common-sense assumption. In this article, the author provides insight to a culture of cancer by describing a single day of chemotherapy treatment. The author and his caregiver document the process through photography. Wrapped in the context of a global pandemic, the author draws connections between life in cancer culture and broader cultural modifications created by COVID-19. As policies regarding students with disabilities in education have changed to support inclusive approaches, the field of art education must consider the translation of these concepts to Prek-12 art and design curriculum. This study examines inclusive curriculum content regarding the inclusion and representation of disability in Prek-12 visual art and design classrooms in Illinois. It utilized a descriptive survey design that involved art and design education teachers throughout the state. The exhibition aimed to unsettle gender roles and promote educational responsibility by visualizing data from survey participants and installation collaborators on the topic of gender. Too often historical artworks in schools, textbooks, cultural institutions, and public spaces share a narrative that bolsters white-centered histories, but when an historical artwork is studied as text it creates room for multiple perspectives (Newfield, 2011) expanding the narrative to include subjugated histories. We are surrounded by typography—on billboards, aluminum cans, pill bottles, and pixelated screens—but artists and art teachers, seeking out the materiality of their lived environments, should be able to look at text in different ways. This project focuses on mentoring children to help reduce marine debris in their local river by implementing one of ten lessons from an inquiry-based Riverology curriculum to empower youth voice, increase geo-literacy, and spatial thinking. Eighteen participants aged seven and eight, piloted Riverology Lesson 2: What Do I Know or Imagine about the Elizabeth River? that includes six steps: inquire, visualize, draw, share, act, and reflect.
