Recently, due to the increasing adoption of distributed energy resource (DER) technologies including battery energy storage (BES) and electric vehicle (EV) systems, bidirectional power converters are becoming more popular. These converters are broadly utilized as interface devices and provide a bidirectional power flow in applications where the primary power supply can both supply and receive energy. The passive solar lumber drying kiln design, developed by EE Senior Design Team 2317 is presented, tested, and discussed. The problem of placing poles in linear multidimensional systems using a feedback matrix of unlimited rank is considered. The effect of output feedback of indefinite rank of the characteristic polynomial of a system with several variables is studied. The results are then used to obtain a recurrent pole placement algorithm without any restrictions on the rank of the output feedback matrix used. The algorithm is based on the pseudo-inverse concept of obtaining solutions to systems of linear equations using the least squares method and is computationally efficient.

This paper reports on design and fabrication of a novel soft fish robot. Application of soft actuators for the fish tail will generates continuum bending motion which resembles the natural motion of the fish. However, most soft actuator mechanisms are complex and have low efficiency. Thus, to address this issue we have developed a 3D printed soft bending actuator which can be actuated with an electromotor. Parkinson’s Disease (PD) causes force control deficits in upper and lower limbs. About 50% of patients with advanced PD develop freezing of gait (FOG). There is limited research comparing force control in PD with and without FOG, especially in upper limbs. It has been suggested that motor control deficits in PD are related to deficits in kinesthesia, but there is conflicting evidence whether levodopa alleviates kinesthetic deficits. The technological method of storing and processing oilseed raw materials is structurally modelled in the article. Additionally, it is suggested that the generalized structure be presented as a three-part scheme, consisting of a raw material department, a processing shop, and transportation networks. On the basis of a thorough examination of the characteristics of the constituent parts of the technological complex, a practical model for the problem of the general characteristics of the technological complex is proposed.

The article discusses the creation of algorithmic structures and the development of digital control systems for electric drives of mine-lifting machines, provides some concepts for creating digital control systems using thyristor converters. The analysis of the static volt-ampere characteristics of the thyristor is given, some calculations of the circuits and circuits of the thyristor converter (TP) corresponding to the different modes of operation of the TP are given, and also, based on the synthesis of the dynamic properties and characteristics of the thyristor, an algorithmic structure of the model of the thyristor converter is proposed.
