This workshop is conducted by a Statistician at the College of Medicine and the Metadata Librarian at UCF. It includes five modules which focus on data basics, data documentation, dataset metadata, data analysis and statistical software. The data basics section introduces data, research data and dataset, the need for documenting and preserving research data. The data documentation and dataset metadata sections touch on researchers’ data practices and offer some general recommendations for a researcher’s research lifecycle. This case study describes the consolidation and migration of the University of New Mexico’s University Libraries’ two database A–Z lists. A subject librarian led the nine-month project that included most subject librarians, the electronic resources team, the Director of Collections, and the Web & Discovery Librarian. The project also provided the University Libraries with the opportunity to review the resources on the lists, update descriptions, and create new workflows for adding and managing a single list.

Numerous factors contributed to the development of the journal Communications in Information Literacy (CIL), which began publication in 2007. Countering the monopolistic and exclusionary practices of commercial journal publishers was a leading concern. The co-founders were motivated by the possibilities of what was then an awakening open research environment to create a truly open access journal, filling a gap in the literature, and helping the library field to commence with reclaiming control of its scholarly record. The dominant retelling of the history of copyright, from the invention of the printing press through the modern day, provides context into the economic, political, and social factors that influenced copyright law's influence on American culture. This context helps undergraduate authors orient their scholarship within the larger scholarly communications system so that they can more easily understand the terms of their author agreements and how they fit into the larger culture around copyright. The present paper explores the Scientometric analysis of the three reputed and highly circulated Indian Library and Information Science (LIS) journals during last five years i.e. from 2015 to 2019.Total 673 articles published in scope period are analysed by applying various parameters like year-wise distribution of articles, authorship pattern and degree of collaboration, relative growth rate and doubling time, Productivity trends with Lotka’s Law and other parameters of Bibliographic Analysis. A case study of how one regional comprehensive university leveraged its institutional repository infrastructure and faculty relationships to develop the first open textbook in the field of African American Studies. This was used as a springboard to open wider discussions across the entire campus about adopting Open Educational Resources (OERs) across all disciplines in order to save students money, increase student success, provide faculty with publishing opportunities, and to provide marketing and recruitment potential for individual programs and the university as a whole. On the one-year anniversary of the CCU Digital Commons repository the organization of the Collections / Communities.html page was reviewed to gauge the need for revisions. Over 100 Digital Commons sites were examined to see how other repository managers organized their Collections pages. Top-level communities were coded into Community Types and were analyzed to surface trends in current practice. This presentation reviews trends in practice that emerged during research, as well as some of the best practices that were identified, including planning, iteration, labeling, limiting jargon, and finding a balance with top-level and nested content. Service jobs require regular interaction with customers and have certain expectations of specific emotions that should be shown during transactions. This use of expected emotional displays during service transactions is called emotional labor and it is an important part of service work, but there are significant consequences for regular use. This paper reviews the literature on emotional labor, and the consequences of the repeated use of emotional labor within the service workforce. Academic and public library collections are developed based on the needs of the communities that surround them. Technology has increased the way users access information, and the way libraries offer information to their users. However, the accessibility of electronic resources for users with print disabilities remains an issue that has yet to have an equitable remedy. This paper identifies the challenges of visually impaired users, the developments in law, the current state of accessibility in academic and public library collections policies, and the current formats and products that are leading the way.

First, it seeks to understand the current landscape of collection development practices within the contexts of academic Slavic and Eastern Europe (SEE) collections.
