Translating Research For The Public: Lab And Online Engagement, Hannah Jiron
Posters - 2026
In the world of psychological research, we spend countless hours in the lab gathering data that has the potential to change lives. But if that data stays locked away in spreadsheets or professional journals, it remains "invisible" to the very people who need it most. As our research moves into the digital age, we have a unique opportunity to "uncloister" science taking it out of the lab and bringing it into the community. This poster explores why simply having good data isn't enough. For research to truly matter, it requires active management and a heart for public outreach. We argue …
Cerebral Documents And Algorithmic Sensemaking: Searching For Expressions In Human And Artificial Cognitive Collaborations, Rebekah L. Cowell
Cerebral Documents And Algorithmic Sensemaking: Searching For Expressions In Human And Artificial Cognitive Collaborations, Rebekah L. Cowell
Proceedings from the Document Academy
Generative Artificial Intelligences (AIs) and current advanced large language models (LLMs) are algorithmically designed to generate text-based conversations as conversational agents (CAs), by replicating human language and conversational communication. Pairing human cognition with generative computationally coded cognition. We have never been here before: cerebral and artificial information collaborations and processing producing expressions that may or may not become visible as second-hand/secondary source documents.
Sensemaking or sense(un)making is a unique autonomous human drive cognitively, our information processing is sensemaking in action and expressions and articulations are evidence of the sensemaking cycle. Documentation [expressed or articulated through various mediums] are a product …

Gulf and Caribbean Research
This study presents the first longitudinal bibliometric mapping of peer—reviewed research on The Bahamas, analyzing 12,113 Web of Science records (1975–2025) using CiteSpace v.6.4.R2. We identified 36 co—citation clusters (modularity Q = 0.7967; silhouette = 0.9231) and 28 keyword clusters (Q = 0.7523; silhouette = 0.8695), revealing 8 thematic trajectories over 5 decades. Early research (prior to 1990) focused on carbonate geology and sea—level dynamics across the northwestern Bahama Platform and Blake—Bahama Basin (Cluster#0, silhouette = 0.939). From the 1990s–mid—2000s, attention shifted to marine fisheries, Aliger gigas, coral reefs, and ecological resilience (Cluster #1, n = 203). In the …
Topic Mining And Evolution Analysis Of American Think Tanks' Products On China Based On Structural Topic Model, Yi Shen, Zhichao Ba, Gang Li
Topic Mining And Evolution Analysis Of American Think Tanks' Products On China Based On Structural Topic Model, Yi Shen, Zhichao Ba, Gang Li
Journal of Scientific Information Research
[Purpose/significance] Under the background of the overall strategic competition between the United States and China, measuring and analyzing the topics and trends of American think tanks' products on China is conducive to understanding the American perception and policy moves towards China. It holds important heuristic significance for coping with external risks, maintaining national security and strategizing for development.
[Method/process] Using the full data of research outputs on China from 11 American think tanks as the research sample, this paper explores the topics and evolutionary trends of American think tanks' products on China, as well as their correlation with China-US economic …

As artificial intelligence (AI) continues to reshape aspects of our world, fears and misunderstandings about its implications are widespread. Some of these concerns are rooted in the practices and beliefs of our religious communities. This paper aims to address worries regarding AI and its impact on religion and Christian traditions. It does so by examining the nature of AI and its limitations, stressing the importance of informed discussions within communities. Examples drawn from academic literature, scripture, and prominent figures within the Church are used to illustrate key points. Libraries and librarians are discussed as crucial facilitators of these informed discussions …

The Journal of Electronic Theses and Dissertations
This systematic review is based on academic work published between 2016 and 2022 at The Networked Digital Library of Theses and Dissertations. The descriptors related to FAIR (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, and Reusable) are to be found in title, summary and/or keywords. The result shows that there are few academic studies on FAIR principles; the University of Porto and consequently Portugal are most intensive in FAIR data research. Dissertations and PhD theses are predominant; information and computer science is the field of study most correlated with FAIR.

Public Reports
Comprising Hong Kong, Macao, and nine cities in southern China's Guangdong province, the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA) is one of the most dynamic and innovative regions in the world, housing leading universities and global high tech companies. To understand the research landscape of the GBA and assess its research strengths, this report, developed in partnership with the Chinese University of Hong Kong provides an overview of the research performance of the GBA and a highlight of the research development of Hong Kong based on analysis of research output data from 2018-2022.
