วิทยานิพนธ์เรื่องการบรรเลงซอด้วงในวงเครื่องสายปี่ชวาของครูจีรพล เพชรสม มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาการบรรเลงและกลอนซอด้วงในวงเครื่องสายปี่ชวาของครูจีรพล เพชรสม ผลการศึกษาพบว่าซอด้วงเป็นเครื่องดนตรีที่มีความสำคัญต่อวงเครื่องสายปี่ชวาในบทบาทของผู้นำ การบรรเลงซอด้วงในวงเครื่องสายปี่ชวาผู้บรรเลงต้องมีความเข้าใจถึงบทบาทเครื่องดนตรีและการเลือกใช้สำนวนที่เหมาะสมเพื่อเป็นหลักให้กับวง ผู้บรรเลงต้องมีความแม่นยำในทำนองหลักและเชี่ยวชาญเรื่องการเปลี่ยนบันไดเสียงอย่างฉับพลันเพื่อตอบสนองต่อแนวการบรรเลงของวงที่มีความกระชับรวดเร็ว วิธีการบรรเลงซอด้วงตามแบบแผนของครูจีรพล เพชรสม ได้แก่ การศึกษาทำนองหลัก การฝึกเปลี่ยนเสียงเพื่อการบรรเลงวงเครื่องสายปี่ชวา การแปรทำนอง และการใช้กลวิธีพิเศษ ซึ่งผู้บรรเลงสามารถบรรเลงซอด้วงได้ทั้งแบบเลื่อนระดับรัดอกและไม่เลื่อนระดับรัดอก ทั้งนี้พบลักษณะการดำเนินทำนองซอด้วงทั้งหมด 4 ลักษณะ ได้แก่ กลอนโครงสร้างตามทำนองหลัก กลอนเรียงเสียง กลอนย้ำเสียง และกลอนไต่เสียง ลักษณะดังกล่าวเป็นการดำเนินซอด้วงของครูจีรพล เพชรสม ที่มีความเรียบง่ายไม่ซับซ้อนเพื่อเป็นหลักให้กับวงเครื่องสายปี่ชวา รวมถึงสนับสนุนปี่ชวาระหว่างที่เป่าโหยผ่านการเก็บแทรกแซงและตกแต่งด้วยกลวิธีพิเศษซึ่งประกอบด้วย การพรมปิด การพรมเปิด การพรมจาก และการสะบัดนิ้ว

การแสดงขับร้องเดี่ยวระดับมหาบัณฑิตโดย อิสรพงศ์ ดอกยอ มีจุดประสงค์เพื่อนำเสนอและถ่ายทอดบทเพลงร้องศิลป์ บทเพลงพื้นบ้าน และบทเพลงลูกทุ่งไทยต่อสาธารณชน โดยการแสดงขับร้องเดี่ยวในครั้งนี้ผู้วิจัยได้คัดเลือกบทเพลงรวมทั้งสิ้น 11 เพลง แบ่งออกเป็น 3 ประเภทดังนี้ 1) บทเพลงร้องศิลป์ จำนวน 2 เพลง 2) บทเพลงพื้นบ้านภาษาอังกฤษ จำนวน 3 เพลง และ 3) บทเพลงลูกทุ่งไทยในหลายยุคที่มีความเป็นเอกลักษณ์ของไทยอย่างชัดเจน จำนวน 6 เพลง ผู้วิจัยได้ศึกษาค้นคว้าเกี่ยวกับประวัติความเป็นมาและได้วิเคราะห์บทเพลง อย่างละเอียด เพื่อนำมาตีความหมายและนำไปสู่การศึกษาและสังเคราะห์เป็นวิธีการขับร้อง ที่เหมาะสมกับบทเพลงในแต่ละประเภทโดยมุ่งประเด็นไปที่การศึกษาเกี่ยวกับเทคนิคการขับร้อง ในบทเพลงร้องศิลป์และบทเพลงพื้นบ้านภาษาอังกฤษ เพื่อเป็นแนวทางในการต่อยอดและประยุกต์ กับการขับร้องบทเพลงลูกทุ่งไทยในรูปแบบการนำเสนอที่มีเอกลักษณ์เฉพาะตัวและเหมาะสม กับการจัดแสดงในยุคปัจจุบัน

วิทยานิพนธ์เรื่องกลวิธีในการบรรเลงซออู้ในการแสดงหุ่นกระบอก เรื่องขุนช้างขุนแผน ตอนนางวันทองห้ามทัพ ของคณะหุ่นกระบอกเพาะช่าง มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาประวัติความเป็นมาและมูลบทที่เกี่ยวข้องกับคณะหุ่นกระบอกเพาะช่าง เพื่อศึกษาหลักและกลวิธีการบรรเลงและทำนองซออู้ ผลการศึกษาพบว่า การแสดงหุ่นกระบอกเกิดขึ้นในสมัยรัชกาลที่ 5 โดยได้รับความนิยมเรื่อยมาจนกระทั่งปี พ.ศ.2541 เกิดคณะหุ่นกระบอกเพาะช่างขึ้น ริเริ่มโดย ครูสุขสันต์ พ่วงกลัด ซึ่ง ครูชื้น สกุลแก้ว เป็นผู้ถ่ายทอดองค์ความรู้ก่อให้เกิดอัตลักษณ์ที่ชัดเจนทั้งเรื่องของดนตรีประกอบการแสดงที่มีซออู้บรรเลงร่วมกับวงปี่พาทย์จึงเกิดหลักการบรรเลง คือ 1) เทียบเสียงซออู้ให้เสียงสูงกว่าปี่พาทย์ 1 เสียง เพื่อสะดวกต่อการสีทำนองหุ่นกระบอก 2) สีลดเสียง 1 เสียงในเพลงที่บรรเลงร่วมกับวงปี่พาทย์ พบกลวิธีบรรเลงซออู้ทั้งหมด 11 กลวิธี ได้แก่ พรมปิด พรมเปิด การเกลื่อน สะบัด สะบัดเสียงเดียว ครั่น กระทบเสียง สีนิ้วชิด การประ การสะบัดเน้นเสียงแรกและการสียักเยื้อง ทำนองซออู้ที่ใช้กับการแสดงหุ่นจำแนกได้ 4 ประเภท ได้แก่ ทำนองหุ่นกระบอก ทำนองในเพลงหน้าพาทย์ ทำนองเพลงเกร็ด และทำนองเพลงร้องสองชั้น

Music Reminiscence In Music Therapy For Elderly Population: A Scoping Review Of The Literature, Jugyodsapatn Kwankeeree

The purpose of this scoping review was to summarize the specific music interventions and clinical goals utilized in music-based reminiscence for elderly population with and without neurocognitive disorders. Fourteen articles meeting the inclusion criteria were selected in this review. The results showed music-based reminiscence interventions were conducted by both music therapists and non-music therapists. Interventions implemented by music therapists showed a greater diversity based on numerous goal domains compared to non-music therapists. Music therapists assess various domains of health comprehensively, while other professionals mostly used music-based reminiscence intervention to address mainly the cognitive domain. Transition after graduation poses significant psychosocial challenges for adolescents with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), often exacerbated by the abrupt cessation of services and support programs. A potential intervention to address their needs is community music projects. This scoping review aims to summarize current practices, identify research gaps, and offer insights for music therapists, community leaders, and care providers by reviewing relevant literature on community music projects for adolescents and young adults with ASD. This dataset contains a millisecond-accurate record of Billy Higgins' jazz swing ride rhythm on a selection of recordings between 1959 and 1964. Calculations have been made to also record the beat and upbeat lengths, and the swing ratio for each completion of the jazz swing ride rhythm. An overall swing ratio average for each recording is included.

This research examines how perception and cognition theories regarding musical meter may assist in the process of developing ‘odd meter’ practice in jazz for ‘melodic’ instrumentalists. This research project investigates the role of the bassoon in the basso of the early symphonies of Mozart, Haydn and Contemporaries in the 1760s and 1770s. It draws on surviving primary source material pertaining to bassoonists and orchestral practices across Europe before 1780. Autograph scores of Haydn, Mozart and his contemporaries usually scored early Classical symphonies for pairs of oboes, horns, two violin sections, viola and basso. Modern scholars have described these compositions as symphonies for pairs of oboes, pairs of horns and strings, and have translated basso to mean cellos and basses. In this survey, books will be analyzed to identify which musical concepts are covered and their overall methodical approach. This research document explores the connections between the war experiences of four composers and whether the possibility existed that any of the composers had posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD), moral injury, mild traumatic brain injuries (mTBI), traumatic brain injury (TBI) or chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE). Scholars have not thoroughly examined the music of composers written before, during, and after war experiences and any potential changes to musical styles or compositional techniques. This research explores American art songs of the 21st century. The paper provides a listing of 54 composers based in the United States and the art songs they composed from 2000 to 2023 which are available either through publishers or the composers’ websites. The research is divided into three categories: art songs with piano, chamber works with voice, and works for solo voice and large ensemble. The paper also includes biographies of each composer. This research provides singers, voice teachers, and collaborative pianists a useful resource to gain familiarity with the American art-song repertoire of the current century.

The COVID-19 pandemic and subsequent social isolation measures had a profound impact on communities worldwide. In regional and remote Western Australia, the use of online platforms has become increasingly important for maintaining social and emotional well-being. This article examines the role of ‘The Isolation Tour 2020’ Facebook page in providing a lifeline for its mostly Aboriginal audience to stay connected with culture, Country, and one another during the 2020 COVID-19 lockdown in Western Australia.
